Rm 1803 The view was lovely The staff were very nice and helpful. Like the fact facewashers and kitchen scissors provided. Enjoyed my stay. Return guest.

The bedroom was stuffy and the aircon was only producing heat. I have the exact same aircon. I think batteries need replacement or something wrong with it as I own same aircon. Had to get up twice in night to open balcony door to let cold air in.

I loved the location. Spent a bit of time sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea while I watched the comings and goings on the Yarra River. Perfect view. The kitchen was lovely, had everything we needed and the front desk staff and the cleaning staff were wonderful. Close to Southern Cross Station, Casino, DFO South Wharf and CBD.

A 2nd mirror and a hook or 2 in the bathroom would have been helpful, and the closets need a couple of shelves. We were given 2 sets of keys (1 set for each couple) however only 1 set had the elevator access tag. The other set was for our room door only which meant that every time we wanted to go up to our room one of the staff members had to access the elevator for us. It also impacted the hotel front door which was locked after hours and needed the elevator tag to open. We had to wait for someone else with their tag to enter so we could get in. Not a deal breaker, just an inconvenience.

The location is fantastic (within the free tram zone and near the southern cross train station and bus terminal) to get around melb CBD. The free tramway stop is just across the street in front of the hotel. Liked the fact that they have 24hours reception to assist us (unlike some apartments that only do self check-in). Personal touch and knowing there is always someone to go to for any issues or something, is extremely vital for travellers. We were at the highest floor of the apartment and we were extremely memerised by the view we got from the apartment such as of Yarra river (sun setting, raining and sun setting), festive lightings of the bridges, Xmas tree of Fed square, etc etc within a view pane. That's fantastic 🤩 and 5 ⭐ s.

The second room does not get any air-conditioning at all. It's kind of stuffy without air circulation. The hallway and lift lobby is a tad narrow. The noise pollution from the crown during the days of partying is disturbing (they are loud),, other than that everything is good.

Great location, within walking distance of the city centre and the Trams were very regular. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to leave our luggage before and after checkout so we didn't have to take it everywhere. The apartment was a good size and set out well, even for 3 people, single beds were appreciated.

Close to the train lines and noisy, but the view made up for that, didn't take long to get used to the noise of the trains, once the doors were shut noise was minimal. Being apartments where there were permanent residents we weren't expecting dogs barking when we went outside, didn't hear them otherwise 😳

The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. The apartment had an amazing view of the Yarra and had modern facilities to make our stay comfortable. Parking was $35 a night a quick walk around the corner and it was safe and secure. The linens all looked new and cleaning staff gave us fresh towels and toiletries. The washing machine and dryer were very handy for our baby. It was a quick walk to Crown and South Wharf DFO and lots of cute restaurants and cafes surround the apartment. We would definitely stay again just for those beautiful views.

The cleaners missed the kitchen bench but that wasn’t a big issue. The rooms could be 5 star with a freshen up of paint and a deep clean but these are mostly wear and tear issues.

I booked the river view room and got a room located on the 26th Floor. Even though I paid for a river view I did not expect for it to be so good! With views of the eastern direction of the river, PTV lines as well as the Crown gas brigades every day and night was pleasant. The room layout was efficient with a spacious bedroom and closet and cosy living space and kitchen with said Yarra view. The room also came with extra goodies (chocolates and tiny teddies!) and a glass water jug which was a nice addition in getting your hydration in compared to other hotels !

I had no complaints during my stay at Aura apart from probably the shared living/kitchen did make it hard to move around if you had a lot of things out such as the ironing board or drying rack. The toilet also did have a bit of a funky smell with no identifiable source but it would be at random times where the smell got really bad.

Had 2 apartments with terraces which were of a reasonable size and good facilities. They were clean when we arrived. Had TV's in each lounge. Kitchens were reasonably stocked.

Biggest issue was that we had 4 adults in an apartment on one floor and 3 adults on another floor and only one full set of key for door and lift for each. We were constantly having to go to the lobby to ask for access or plan our time out of the apartment around someone being around to let us in. We had to go to the lobby to pass over items needed in the other room. The beds in the ensuited apartment were hard, the ensuite rooms never got serviced while we were there which meant chasing towels, toilet rolls etc. Although the sink plug was broken extra dish draw tabs were not supplied for a known issue.

For an overnight stop between flights - the best value for money. It's the best for the quick stay or for those who appreciate comfortable rest and a day out in a city exploring. Great location. Free city train nearby. You can (partially, but still it's great!) see Star Casino fire from the window, or it's just 8min easy walk across the bridge. Easy walk of 2-3 stops by tram to the Melbourne lanes for a col cofee stops. We took a bus from the airport and walked with the kids to the hotel - easy 10-15 walk and junior schoolers easily made it with their bags packed for 4 days. To get to the port was either a paid train line that is 50m from the hotel (but we could not bother buying/registering Myki tickets) or $23 taxi ride. Next door sushi place is supreme! The best Japanese food I had ever outside of Japan (I got an impression it's related business to the hotel. But separate entry) We were the last and the only customers at 9 pm midweek, tired and a bit grumpy after an old day. Despite this we were quickly served the most amazing food, and treated with smiles and care. A place like this in Sydney would have been booked for month in advance and cost at least 3-4 times more. Here we just walked in. We had a late checkout. But many people had luggage on GF. The reception girl helped us to book taxi.

We were on the 24th floor and the view out the window and on the balcony was superb as we had a view of the Yarra river, the casino which let off gas flares on the hour which look spectacular at night and the railway system. A tram stop was just around the corner and the Flinders Street station was only a few blocks away which you can get to on a free tram if you don't want to walk. The apartment was facing the small side street so noise from Flinders Street was minimal if any. Loading zone outside which was handy for 8 people with a lot of luggage.

Taxi driver had trouble finding the apartment, so he parked on Katherine Street and I went looking along the street for it at 11:00 PM. Looking at the buildings along the street at night I thought that I had booked into a shabby dive but was pleasantly surprised when I walked back towards the taxi and found a big 07 that I had walked past (must have had blinkers on) and walked inside to a pleasant apartment block. Unable to pay with cash. Was going to stay there again for one night after travelling around Victoria but will only accept two or more night stays.

Apartments were great. We booked x2 two bedroom two bathroom apartments next to each other. Enough room for two couples per apartment. Beautiful view if you're lucky enough to be on the MCG side.

The Elevator was very impractical. You were only given one fob for the elevator for two sets of keys (and 4 people). If you didn't have the set of keys with the fob, you had to wait for whoever was on reception to let you into the elevator AND the building. Also note, there is no air conditioning/ fans in any of the bedrooms. Luckily, we went when it wasn't hot. Anything over 25 degrees would be uncomfortable as the sun hits your room.
