Private double room great size for moneys worth. Loved the giant window. Hot showers, waterfall shower head. Big kitchen, super friendly staff Honestly this place is one of the best backpackers ive been to. Premium location too

The only somewhat laughable annoyance was the lift. Glacial pace when youre waiting for it. It does not give a fk if youre going up or down, it will change direction mid travel. But everyone is aware of it and laughs about it Also the showers on level 10 were *constantly* occupied so its every man for himself. Again, it was laughable. I genuinely dont have anything I didnt like about this place.... oh maybe the bed was a bit small for 2 adults

The location is super: 1 minute to tram and 2 minutes to Flinders Street Railway Station as well as the Fed Square on foot. Crossing the street to reach the well-known Degraves Street. Supermarket and restaurants are right on the corners. Staffs were very friendly and helpful: be prepared for an awesome Melbourne trip by seeing the weather forecast and suggestions on the blackboard in front of the reception.

1. A great amount of smokes and fumes go out from the pipe of the range hood of the kitchen, which makes the guest room filled with odors while the kitchen is busy. It's better to close the window in the room all the time. 2. The ways in the kitchen are often blocked by some people who love to chat in the kitchen instead of cooking.

The Location on Elisabeth Street was easily accessible from the Melbourne Central Bus Station by Tram. Good location with food and wine stores and a pub close by. The Victoria Market and various sites are also easily accessible by Tram. A Free Walking Tour organised by the Hostel. A wonderful Kitchen, Dining and Store Area. Coffee and Tea on the House and a Rooftop Café for a quick good cost effective breakfast.

The Housekeeping. Always required to be called for cleaning of the Room. If you said No then the Housekeeping Staff would not check again later.

Great location! Staff was nice and there’s loads to do. Impressed by how clean and easy it was to use the kitchen considering how many people were using it. It was a bit challenging to find a spot on the shelf for my groceries but there was so much turn over that it worked out. Bathrooms everywhere and they provide a hair dryer and straightener in the ladies bathroom. Drag bingo is free to play and an absolute riot! I met so many amazing travelers and would absolutely recommend flinders and would stay there forsure when I make it back to Melbourne!

First time staying a hostel, I had a private twin room which exceeded my expectations and was clean with the basics provided I.e., towel, storage locker and small table/chairs. Communal shower and toilets are cleaned daily which is much appreciated, however the facilities on my floor were often closed for cleaning at what I consider to be peak time (8-9am). It’s not an issue to pop downstairs and use the other communal showers and toilets but it would be great to review the times of the cleaning schedule so that the same floor is not affected daily. The communal kitchen is clean with lots of appliances, big enough to accommodate the large number of travelers with a nice spot to sit and eat. Plenty of cold and ambient storage for personal food items. Communal lounge area is also a nice and friendly spot with music, pool table and plenty of seating however the staff could do more to ensure the area is not too rowdy on weekends, I appreciate many travelers like to pre-drink and party there before heading out but kicking footballs around and screaming the place down is not enjoyable for those who are preferring a more quiet evening. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help, the discount for the bar downstairs is a nice bonus. Fantastic location next to Flinders Street Station which easy access across the whole city. Highly recommend as a great place to stay with good management and well maintained facilities.

Anti-social behavior on weekends which prevents usage of the lounge room for those not looking to party.

Welcoming staff, all of the equipment you would expect in a hostel, in an overall clean environment. I stayed for a week on the 11th floor within a 6 peoples dorm, big enough, clean and the beds were comfortable enough.

Although the bathroom from my floor were modern and big enough to accommodate several people at the same time, there was poor water pressure that leaves you almost nothing to rince yourself if somebody else takes a shower at the same time. The wifi can also be a bit inconsistent at times.

The Location being on Elisabeth Street was easily accessible by Tram. Good food and wine stores close by. The city easily accessible by Tram. There was no breakfast provided. However one could have coffee or tea on the house. Good kitchen and dining areas for cooking your own meals. Good for low cost stay. Clean and Wonderful youthful atmosphere.

The housekeeping did not come until unless called in for. Only to collect the daily garbage. If you said No then the housekeeping did not check again.

We booked a private room for 3 people and it was perfect for the price: it had a double bed with an individual one on top of that, a table and four little lockers. What we found really convenient was that you can leave a sticker outside on the door so the housekeeping staff know that you don't need the room cleaned that day. The reception staff were the best part of the experience, they were super friendly and helpful (special shout out to Ash and Jazz!). There was a really lovely, respectful atmosphere. There are some table games and a pool table for everyone to use and the staff are organizing fun activities and trips all the time. We recommend it and will be staying next time we're in Melbourne 100 %. Loved it.

There could be some more breakfast options - when we stayed here there was only coffee and tea bags, and we missed some bread, butter, juice, etc.

Staff were super helpful and friendly, the location in terms of transport options is hard to beat but it is Flinders Street so it's rowdy of a night time, you'll hear all the goings on down in the street from your room at night, but it didn't bother us too much. The common areas seemed to have quite a lively atmosphere and there's a bar/club on a lower level which hosts guests and the public.

Nothing really, it's a backpackers and you get what you pay for. We had a twin room with ensuite bathroom and it served all its purposes just fine.

Wonderful location, only 50m to Flinders station. There are a lot of restaurants/ supermarkets/ coffee shops nearby. Possess a large area for the kitchen, suitable for anyone loving to cook. The key card is divided into male and female use, it would be safe for females when they don't need to use a shared bathroom with males.

Deposit process - When I deposited for keycard guarantee by cash, the property didn't give it in the same way. The process will take you 3 days to receive by card, it's hard for those who are short on cash.
