I've been away from Melbourne for 13 years and went back to visit family. I loved how close the venue was to Flinders Street station and yet in the apartment itself I didn't hear much hustle and bustle of the big city outside. I also enjoyed the bathtub and spacious bed and clean modern rooms. I will definitely be back and hopefully turn it into a yearly visit to Melbourne.

The only thing that was lacking was extra sugar and milk which didn't add up to the coffee and tea supplied. But it wasn't a big deal as there are shops across the road and around the corner. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Location was great. Flinders Street Station was just a quick walk and there were lots of cafes around the corner. The apartment was very comfortable. Love that we could help ourselves to extra towels anytime. Quiet location. Excellent instructions on getting our key after hours when we arrived at 11pm.

Adjusting the temperature in the shower was annoying and you had to wait for the hot water to come through. Everything else was fine.

I had a 1-bedroom apartment which was very spacious and well equipped with king size bed, full size fridge and crockery cutlery and dishwasher, work desk as well as dining table. Definitely worth the step up from the studio apartment if the price difference isn't too much. The hotel is slightly older style but has nice high ceilings and a lovely feel to it. Awesome location on Flinders Lane right near Degraves St. Friendly helpful staff.

Only 1 lift was working - which wasn't too bad because it wasn't too busy on the weekend I visited, but could be a problem.

Location was extremely central with coles/woolies a short walk below, tram access and station was next door and walking distance to good food every direction. Very clean and option to self refill amenities in the lobby. Front desk and cleaning staff were all lovely to interact with!

Corridor after leaving the elevator was quite musty as there were no windows for the shared area. Noise from all surrounding apartments were clear to hear but had no major issues. Can be dark as no natural light comes in so can interfere with sleep cycle. However, all of these are very minor concerns. This apartment for 2 was very accommodating with cleanliness and good location

Very convenient location. Check in was easy and reception staff were friendly. We would stay again for location, good base for getting around the city.

Bed was firm Nothing to put suitcase on Shower needs a deep clean and silicone replaced. No on-site parking and it would pay to park before you check in as limited spaces to check in first and it’s busy. Parking instructions didn’t verify if there were designated spots for the hotel as others have. Towels looked like they need replacing. We felt the room was pricey for what it was so guess you pay for location

The staff were exceptional. The rooms are clean and the ability to obtain fresh towels and supplies on weekends is fantastic.

Would be great to have locks on the laundry as we were disturbed multiple times around 10 and 11pm at night thinking people were knocking on our door. More king beds when you changeover to new beds in the future would be great.

cosy but very well-appointed apartment. kitchen had all we needed and small lounge room with comfy couch and good TV. Separate bedroom with very large and comfy bed. Staff also arranged parking for us in the hotel carpark (for a fee but very reasonable given in the middle of the CBD).

you should note the car park is very small and only a small car would get down the narrow laneway and turn into the car park. Staff warned us about this in advance, and given we have a smaller car it worked out fine, but if you are planning to park with the hotel it would be wise to check with them in advance that your car would fit.

The location and reception were wonderful. Our shower was broken, and they called a plumber and the shower rose was replaced on the same day. The laundry had free drying, which was a real bonus.

It was a little tatty in places- chips on the small table, raggedy carpet in high-use areas. The extractor fan on the oven was too low, and we kept banging our heads on it. The hotplates were temperature-controlled and kept clicking off, so it was hard to get a decent temperature when cooking.

From the bustle of Flinders Lane we entered the tranquility of a very stylish reception area, and were greeted by the excellent staff. We travelled up in one of the two large lifts to an equally attractive corridor and entered a room which had ‘wow factor’ in the extreme. There is a very ample lounge and dining area, with a well-equipped kitchenette (which included a coffee pod machine to satisfy two espresso addicts), the bedroom with a good wardrobe, and a bathroom. Décor throughout was attractive, and everything was spotlessly clean. On the corridor of each floor there is a laundry alcove, with washing machine and tumble dryer. An iron and ironing board are provided within the apartment. This is a place you really can settle in for as long as you like, and enjoy Melbourne to the full. Enjoying Melbourne is so very easy from Punthill Flinders Lane, as the location is simply brilliant. It is only a 3-minute walk from Flinders Street Station, close to a whole panoply of cafés and restaurants, and numerous entertainment venues, including the Arts Centre, the National Gallery of Victoria, and many museums. For all self-catering needs, there are both Coles and Woolworths supermarkets and a Liquorland all within about 200 metres on Elizabeth Street, and the amazing Queen Victoria Market, with its simply spectacular fish and meat hall, is a short and free tram ride up Elizabeth Street. We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Punthill Flinders Lane, and recommend it most highly.

Location was perfect except the outside noise at night. Fortunately Nick moved us from the first to the third floor or it would probably have been much worse. Staff members were helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend it ;)

I would like to see a recycling bin. We had newspapers, plastic and glass and there's only a rubbish bin meaning everything will go to landfill - which is not good for the planet. We separated our recyclables but I'm not confident it will have stayed separate. Also, the microwave is very high and is an OHS issue for shorter people (e.g. me!) If my husband wasn't with me I would have had to stand on a chair - which is also an OHS issue.
