the exceptional service from staff, especially Sany, and everything about the apartment was outstanding. The entire hotel was clean, inviting and peaceful, the apartment was well appointed and extremely comfortable.

I liked everything about Hotel Collins and it will always be the hotel of choice!

We stayed in a great apartment and was very happy what we booked. So close to where we wanted to be and around the corner from Flinders St Station and so easy access to all the sites. Amazing so clean, tidy and all the facilities in the room . Great comfortable bed with fresh linen which was the best. We were on the 8th floor so was quiet and fabulous views. Absolute bonus was the parking so easy to find and only 2 minutes walk and the parking fee was so cheap that we organised with reception before we arrived. It would have cost us $102 Dollars overnight and we paid $17. Thank you for a fabulous stay We will be booking again.

We chose the Hotel Collins for its reasonable price and location. We have never stayed there before. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The one bedroom apartment was very spacious, unlike some more modern ones. The kitchen facilities were adequate for our needs. It was well equipped. As we were staying for 6 nights we qualified to use their laundry facilities without charge, but we did not need to use them. The WiFi worked well. The only downside to the apartment was the step up to the bathroom, which might be difficult for anyone with disabilities - though I understand there are some without the step. The hot water worked really well. Please note there is no fan in the bathroom, so it's best to leave the door open when showering, but this is a minor thing. The aircon system was effective. In all, a very reasonable place to stay right in the middle of Melbourne next to the Town Hall, trams and shops.

The apartment was in the city centre -literally walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go. The room had everything needed for my short stay and the reception staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. There was even an iron and ironing board :)

There was nothing I didn't like. The only thing was there is no lobby type area which you get in hotels - no bar, restaurant etc. but all of those within walking distance of the accommodation. However, I was able to leave my bags for a few hours on my last day prior to flying out and there is an area where you can sit, at the entrance to the accommodation.

The reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The spacious apartment was beautifully clean. The kitchen had everything that we required for simple meal praparation, as well as a dish washer! The bathroom was well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. There was free access to the laundry room (washing machine and dryer), and laundry powder was supplied. The central location of the hotel made for easy access to local attractions on foot. The trams were also a short distance from the hotel. There was one elevator, but the stairs were also available to use.

The after hours access was tricky when using the key to unlock the main entrance door on Collins Street. There was nowhere in the bedroom to put suitcases. It would be good to see eco-friendly refillable soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers.

The room itself was beautiful. Very cute, well kept and maintained.

You could hear all the noise from upstairs, their TV on all night, every time they went to the toilet or had a shower. Didnt get much sleep unfortunately. Not sure if there was a password for the wifi as we couldn't find anything to actually connect. And unsure if there was a designated smoking area, so my partner had to go out the front of the building on the main road to have a smoke. Unfortunately we weren't aware of these things and with our late check in we couldn't ask anyone. Maybe put fliers in the room for wifi passwords and designated smoking area. Otherwise was a great stay.

I was sceptical booking Hotel Collins because the price seemed too good to be true for the location. I put my faith in the good reviews and we booked a studio apartment. Got a 1 bedroom apartment and were later changed to an enormous 2 bedroom apartment, due to a window issue with our original room. Tshering on reception was fantastic at handling the room issue. Both rooms we saw were tidy and mostly clean, but really spacious. Hotel Collins is a real gem for the location and the price.

The blinds in the 2 bedroom apartment didn't work properly and some of the front windows need repairs. We moved the couch and it was really dirty underneath. Tiles in the bathroom are very slippery and the shower pressure is poor. Overall very happy with our stay.

This is a gem of a hotel. Perfect location in the middle of the CBD with a lounge and kitchen area for a longer stay. Only a stone's throw from the laneways for breakfast and close to the theatres for a night out.

This is not necessarily a negative but it's a need to know. The hotel doesn't have parking but it does have a deal with a carpark only a few minutes walk away So parking for the weekend was $34.....a steal in the middle of the city. That said if it's bucketing with rain it would be really frustrating to have to get your car as the walk isn't undercover. There is the opportunity to park out the front for a pick up and drop off.

Easy access to the shopping, the tennis and the exhibition at the Lume. We were able to make good use of the free transport zone since Hotel on Collins is well located within this zone.

I had a fall in the foyer when we came back to get our bags. The floor had been mopped and a sign was put up but we did not see it as it was located at the front but to the side of the opening to the foyer. I believe that at 4pm it would be beneficial that if the foyer is to be mopped then it is dry mopped as well to remove the water and reduce the risk of falls. This would only take a couple of extra minutes but would be much safer than putting up a sign which is poorly positioned and easily missed. Luckily I did not break anything but I am still sore in the hips and have a bruise on my wrist.
