Adelphi Hotel

The property is easy to find amongst the surrounding buildings. The property had a quirky industrial vibe from the second you walk in and continues through the building. The room was well laid out with minimalist styling. The complimentary items in the bar and snack jar were well appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly, cheerful and welcoming on arrival and remained this way each time we left and returned throughout the afternoon and evening. Check out was simple and was done with a smile. Will definitely stay again.

The staff are superb. They're very friendly and often went above and beyond to help us during the stay. The hotel is generous with free snacks and drinks. We paid for the full breakfast in advance, and really enjoyed it. Location is amazing. We sat out by the pool a few times - the water was too cold to actually swim in but sunning ourselves on the roof with a cocktail was a pleasant way to spend some time.

Only a small issue, but the water temperature in the shower was very variable, going from hot to cold rapidly and often during a shower. Otherwise no complaints at all!

The Adelphi has a wonderful ambience. The cocktail bar on the 2nd floor was wonderful as was the rooftop bar area. I booked the delux king room and it was incredibly comfortable. Bed, linen all luxurious. Bathroom was dynamite. BUT the staff were the most outstanding. Headed by Ahmed every detail was taken care of. Incredibly attentive and professional. They went way above and beyond to make my birthday a spectacularly memorable one. Would highly recommend. Top class.

Loved the free and replaceable bar snacks! Amazing! The location is wonderful too…very close to everything you need. The barman (upstairs venue) was also absolutely wonderful, and could not have tried harder to please us!

There was really only one problem, which would need to be fixed….the showers were impossible to use-either too hot or too cold. The adjustment to get it right was way too fine, which is unfortunate in such a lovely hotel.

We were in Melbourne for the AO tennis. The location was brilliant and close to everything - restaurants, cafes, trams, shops, gyms etc. The staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms were clean and serviced well. Loved the daily stock up of the free snacks and drinks! Great for the tennis!

The only small point of note was the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. It wasn’t a major issue so we didn’t bother mentioning it to staff so not sure if all the rooms were the same.

Loved the boutique vibe! A really cool, funky look. Reception at night and in morning were so lovely, free champers on arrival, lolly jar and complimentary mini bar (Non alcoholic) were all wins - have not had this experience anywhere else! Easy parking next door, near restaurants and hosier lane.

Only two small down sides, the room was very dark at night, the lighting was dimmable but the brightest setting was very dull and hard to see when doing make up. Only other thing was the bathroom pipes made loud noises during the night which did wake me but apart from that a comfortable stay.

The location of the hotel is fabulous. There are a lot of eateries and public transport options nearby. The hotel is in easy working distance to major transportation hubs. The checkin and checkout processes were incredibly smooth. Very polite and friendly staff. The bed was super comfortable. Delicious snacks and a welcome drink are provided on arrival- a very nice touch.

The hotel seemed a little dated, although this may be a legacy of the covid pandemic in which hotels are unable to invest extra money into their present up-keep as a result of lockdowns etc.

The staff are really friendly and kind, and helped whenever possible. The first round in the minibar was free! The room was very spacious, and the candy theme is unique and well executed, which provided a great atmosphere. The location was right near the station which made it very easily accessible.

Just a minor thing, but the faucet for the shower/sink were a little confusing to use and very quickly oscillated between very hot and very cold. The TV acted up a lot and didn't let us access certain sections seemingly at random.

Having the twin beds was a great option. I loved the complimentary bubbles at check in and the free snacks and drinks in the room.

A serious lack of power points particularly next to the bed. Only one set of light switches which I couldn't find for ages as they were hidden by the bed pillows. Speaking of pillows they wern't particularly comfortable.

A large room with a comfy bed. Everything in the minibar (except for alcohol) is complimentary and restocked daily, and we were offered a free alcoholic drink in the lounge when arriving. There are no proper meals for room service, but the finger food we ordered was delicious and generously sized. The location is excellent for access to The Forum, ACMI, and Federation Square.

The rooms don't seem particularly soundproofed and sounds from the hall and the alley were quite obvious.
