Location was superb, right in the thick of things with easy access to shopping and F&B, and staff were very friendly. Room and bathroom clean and cheery. The cafe downstairs is a nice place for hearty pub grub and refreshing drinks. We were given very clear directions and updates prior to checking in so that helped alot with navigating there. Overall, a great stay and would recommend.

Just observations and things to note... not a problem nor a reason to not return. It was noisy on Friday night and there seemed to be some kind of scuffle on the street level then but I think that's to be expected with the location. Police arrived very quickly so that was a relief! There are no lifts, only stairs, so do keep that in mind if travelling with lots of heavy luggage. For those driving, there is no free parking nor drop off point directly in front of the accoms. Nearest parking would be in the nearby payable public parking buildings.

Very friendly staff. Centrally located. We got the suite with separate bedrooms for the family members. Really appreciated that we could keep our luggage in the hotel when we had a 4 day trip to Exmouth.

We included Breakfast for which you receive a voucher for AUD15 for a nearby restaurant. We recommend not to include this. One of our travelers did not eat breakfast but the restaurant was not clear if we could use the unused voucher as payment for the travelers who did come for the breakfast. This made us feel awkward with some staff accepting and some not, like we were haggling for a few dollars.

Second stay here and it’s been great both times. Great room pricing for location and the quality of the food / drinks at the pub downstairs makes it all worthwhile. The bed is amazing and comfy (8/10 reason why we returned). Seamless check in process, easy and no fuss. Do only be mindful there’s stairs with no lifts for large heavy luggages. Will always return.

Not much - understanding the building doesn’t have a lift for heavier luggages but it’s not the end of the world. Other thing is the rug at the door entry got caught a few times (when outside entering in) and it makes it very difficult to open the door to get in. And the “laundry” trolley that’s placed by the stairs - understanding there’s not much room but when you enter the hotel, that’s the view of a giant trolley that you see which I think takes away the “wow” factor of entering such an build historic building.

Bed comfortable we had no issues with noise from the bar. Property very easy to deal with quick to respond with queries during the booking process.. Our plane was delayed and arrived at 11pm on Wed night, excellent location and able to get quick meal at a nearby takaway. Overall great value centrally located for the 2 of us.

Room was nicley cleaned and prepared but they forgot to leave us towels and it was too late to get anyone. So we called the after hours call centre number in the morning as we wanted to be showered and ready to leave at 8am. Waited 20minutes no joy then rang the pub below. lucky the manager was in early on this day and he brought some up immediately thankyou. This would be the only thing you could improve on is having someone available to resolve any problems quickly.

Good place to stay for a few nights. Easy access to the city with great food below. The aircon was a blessing with such a hot perth summer and the beds were comfortable.

The bathroom is a little dirty in some parts and the paint on the tap has worn away. I also didnt realise everything in perth closes at 10pm and also got told that we had 30 minutes left for final drinks but got kicked out at 9:30 so it was a bit disappointing as a traveler. You can get room service but it doesnt come after 10pm (in our case, 9:30pm) so i wish that were clearer too. Also the bins were placed in front of the main entrance door after hours which was oodd and blocked an exit. Not sure if it was the establishment or someone on the street but definitely should be careful in future

Bed was good, shower was good, room food service was very quick, central location less than 10 minutes walk from train station and the ferries to Rottnest, and being able to check out and leave bags for later collection on the same day was very handy. Free bottled water was appreciated. Can’t go wrong with a free drink from the bar on arrival either. They even expect you to take home the pen in the room.

I don’t have any negative issues with the property. Our room was above the beer garden, but once pub had closed the place was silent.

Excellent location

The breakfast is just a voucher towards breakfast in a cafe down the street so next time we will probably just book the room and not breakfast with it.

The mattress was very comfortable; the best one on our two week getaway. The air conditioner was brilliant and cooled both rooms really well on the hot Perth summer days. Great location too. Drink on arrival was much appreciated after our commute from the airport. The housekeeper left a hand written note welcoming us, which was a nice touch. We stayed here 2 nights before heading to Bunbury for Christmas.

The pub/accommodation itself was quiet, however there was obviously noise from the street/entertainment in the area in the evening. Getting to sleep wasn’t the issue, but getting woken up by the garbage truck in the morning wasn’t great. Nor was getting woken up about an hour later by the glass bottle collection. We expected the evening noise, but not the morning noise so early in the morning. This is probably more a reflection on us, not the location. But hopefully this helps! There was only two choices in pillows, and they were very high. However, I ended up sleeping without the pillow, that’s how comfortable the bed was!

The location is excellent, some of the staff was really nice and the room is comfortable and clean with everything you might need. If you want a hairdryer you have to ask for it, but they will be happy to give one to you. Overall it was a nice place to stay with helpful staff and a comfy bed and nice shower.

The walls are really thin. You can hear the music from the bar downstairs which to be honest wasn’t a problem for me, but people getting back to their room after drinking around 1-2am and talking loudly in the hallways can be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Earplugs are provided and staff is very nice but its good to know before you book. Also, its not related to the room, but I ate at the restaurant once and it was disappointing, so its probably better to eat somewhere else as there are a lot of options in the area.

The hostel is located in the centre of the CBD and is easy to reach. The sights are all within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and you can get a fresh beer at the bar. The rooms were well cleaned. If we have the opportunity to visit Perth again, we will choose this accommodation again.

The rooms are on the first floor and luggage has to be carried up a flight of stairs.
