The Hive Hostel

Location-wise it's perfect for people travelling or working in the Perth CBD. Perfect cheap accommodation with friendly attentive staff always at hand for any issues. Very comfortable bed + bedding also Great mix of older chill australians + backpackers alike

It's an older building so paintwork around is a little shabby but I didn't notice it after a while.

Excellent atmosphere. Finally a hostel in australia that feels like home. Lots of long term guests so it really feels like a big shared house. Cleaned everyday. Beds are comfy and people are usually respectful of others sleeping, even in the 28 beds dorm! Big kitchen and lots of shared spices and ingredients. Lots of chilling areas that go from quiet if you need to work on your laptop or rest, to more social if you want to easily make friends.

The Hive is a backpackers' hostel and as such was good. The guy at Reception was very helpful. He let me leave my bag in the office until checkin time and after I checked out. I found a good book to read in the pile of free stuff. Very convenient location, just a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. And I had a private room with shared bath. So as Hostels go it was very good.

It was a bit noisy after 10 pm when I expected it to be quieter. It's an old house so it didn't always look clean, but it wasnt dirty. I recommend getting the private room because the bunk rooms looked very small. sometimes people left their bags in the hallway.

Female Dorms Tidy. Bunk beds but what I expected and comfortable sleeps. Helpful staff members. always cleaning happening. You could socialize if you wanted and you could keep to yourself if you wanted. Great Stay thankyou.

Possibly couple more microwaves, and Hot water Jug so you not over each other as much. Maintance as in Tidy up the walls in Female dorm(as one bunk has a hole by it) Wifi in room was patchy.

Room comfy and clean. Air conditioning very good. Friendly staff very helpful and nice.

Minor issue with toilets and showers. e.g. not quite enough. The one I had next to room 11 was really nice. Unfortunately it was under maintenance during last few days and the others available were not very nice.

Great atmosphere and social vibe. Everyone is friendly and make you feel at home. Lots of places to chill and hang out or work on your laptop. Kitchen is big and clean and there’s everything you need to cook. Great location near CBD.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a fine location re where the Perth city center is.

There needs to he more of the refrigerated spaces for people to put their food which needs to be refrigerated, since that area was very crowded and one hardly could find a space where to put one’s food. Likewise, with the shelf spaces. Just more of these need to be there.

I have to say people are amazing, if a keep coming back there it is mainly for them. Managers has changed and trust me its for the Best . The team is really great, you can count on them no matter what happens to you! I arrived in Perth in early October, spend 2 month at the Hive and since I keep on coming back it's just like family ! Thanks guys!!

Great hostel! Rooms cleaner and more comfy than the average hostel room in Perth! Private bathroom is insanely good! People at reception friendly and helpful

its is clean, nice people there, friendly staff, plenty of comunal areas, close to the cbd

the walls and furniture look old and bad condition, specially the bathroom besides not being dirty at all. the mattress wasn’t good for my back and makes a bit hard to sleep there
