Everything was wonderful. 1. But the breakfast was way over priced and not that great 2. The only hotel where I had issues with my credit card in all of Europe. I think paying in full for your booking through booking.com is the best (I did that on my 2nd stay). Even then I had trouble paying for 12 euro tax fee with my card. Had to pay in cash.

Superb location within easy walking distance of the main sites. Room was spacious and elegant, with a good shower though lacked a bath. Breakfast was very high quality and good variety but somewhat overpriced, even by the standards of this expensive city. Staff were unfailingly helpful and polite, with excellent service. Complimentary bottled water was offered in the room - a nice touch. The rooftop pool, though small, was very much appreciated after sightseeing in 30 degree heat.

The hotel doesn't really have a lobby area or other public space where you can just sit and rest, though there are three restaurants on site. In the small area by the pool the loungers are crowded together but capacity was still insufficient for the number of guests wanting to use this amenity.

we felt that the reception staff were not welcoming. we’re not sure if Schnitzel Love is part of the hotel, but the waiters are also unpleasant.

Location was fantastic. Walkable to all of central historic Vienna. The three restaurants were superb. We ate in two of them as the main Schnitzel one as fully booked, but they served the same dish upstairs with a better view! Loved the little bar and had great eggs Benedict! Lovely staff, super helpful. 95% superb

The missing 5%? Draws in the bedroom, only a hanging rail (albeit a posh one) but no draws, so nowhere to really unpack properly! Very frustrating. No room service at all and no tea & coffee facilities in the room, please do one or the other!? But they are gripes, it really was a great place. 100% would go again.

Excellent location if you would like a quiet area but can easily walk to bars and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely (although overpriced). I would book to stay again but without breakfast as there are cafes nearby.

The customer service could have been better for a hotel of this standard for example there was no welcome talk on arrival and you are expected to know how their breakfast buffet system works. Although breakfast was lovely it was overpriced therefore we never ate dinner in the hotel. The small roof pool is lovely on a hot day but lack of changing facilities makes it very difficult to use on colder days.

Location, style, attached to restaurant

No roomservice, long wait for reception to answer calls, was handed iron and table instead of getting offered a ironing service, Requested for early check in on my wedding day. Tried via email and got offered to purchase a extra night the day before instead. Tried 3 nights before check in again personally with the hotel manager and still wouldn't confirm a early check in. Was offered again to purchase the night before. 6 rooms in my category were available that time. I understand the keenness to keep rooms ready to sell but especially in 5 stars I would expect more commitment to customer experience other than sheer revenue focus (more of a high volume/low budget approach)

Bold design, excellent location, great breakfast buffet. the rooftop restaurant has a lovely view of Vienna. The rooftop also has an all-year outdoor swimming pool with the same fantastic view. Beds are firm memory foam.

Bathroom - Totally functional and practical, but it felt like having a shower out in the open. Zero privacy when travelling with another person. Light switches - The rooms are nicely renovated, but why a turning light switch that appears to date back to 1800s and wired in a way that defies logic when more than one person occupies the room?

Beautiful interiors, on trend house plants and pots made the reception and bar on the top floor a beautiful place to sit and relax! Great white wine spritzer, lovely pool for a dip after sightseeing. Tram right outside property to go into centre but equally not a long walk in. Great location for the CAT to airport, we had a pleasant stroll through the Stadtpark to get the early morning CAT. Excellent food - Wiener schnitzel in the downstairs restaurant. Plenty of powerful hot water in the showers and bedrooms were well equipped with good full length mirrors and a decent hairdryer!

It was all fabulous!

Staff were very friendly and the concierge was fantastic. Food was very good (the presentation of the hot pasta mixed on the a whole parmesan cheese was impressive!) Pool was 'refreshing' but a bit small. The location was superb for access to all the main locations in the city and the city transport. The attached cafe is great for an al fresco breakfast and the Hungarian waiter is brilliant.

Lifts were a bit on the slow side and seemed to have a mind of their own at times :) The smell of the cooking (frying) in reception from the downstairs restaurant is a bit off putting in the evening.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite of 60+ sq metres. It was fabulous in every respect. We dined downstairs and everything was just perfect.

Do not get the hotel to arrange a taxi on departure. They are a total rip off, costing 2.5 times as much as a taxi you arrange, plus to be really annoying the one we had would not take a CC, I had to wander the airport looking for a cash machine to pay him. When we had left the hotel the driver told me it’s 60 EUR. No meter. No I said it’s a max of 25. Stop and let me out. He did not. Otherwise everything was great.
