Breakfast was superb. I left my perfume to the room, and was able to retrieve it back. It was sent by post to my home address. Excellent service.

There was no Nespresso machine nor hot water kettle in the room, which was very surprising

Nice hotel, big room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and lots of candy everywhere which was super nice. The location is a bit noisy on weekends because you are in a very touristic area but is not really bad

What a lovely hotel ideally located within walking distance of music venues, art galleries, shopping and historical buildings. The hotel is quirky with a retro vibe, the rooftop pool is a real bonus with lovely relaxing bar alongside it. Breakfast has an extensive menu and is most enjoyable. Reception staff warrant a special mention as they are friendly and helpful at all times.

It’s personal preference but I found the bed extremely firm and found it difficult to sleep comfortably. The design of the room is unusual with the shower and basin in the bedroom. Not much privacy but a quirky alternative to the norm.

Room was slightly on the small side, and shower integrated next to the bed rather than in a separate bathroom.

Location is excellent, walking distance to many attractions downtown. The restaurant of the hotel is a must go for schnitzel and tafelspitz. Rooms very clean, nice decor, rooms are spacious. A tip for the guests who would like to try the schnitzel but can not book Meisl&Schadn, the main restaurant, which was very crowded when we visited: the smaller restaurant, Gulasch & Sohne, has a shared kitchen with the main restaurant and will serve you the same schnitzel. This restaurant also provides good option for breakfast.

The electricity switches did not allow the night lamp to be lit by itself. But this is a small thing, really.

BUT I leaved my blouse in the room and I told the hotel about it directly after a day. And I ask to find it in the lost and found and est. And I wrote an email to the hotel. But after several email. (after 10 daya and more) They answered me that nothing found in the. So this is really disappointed. And I have been in the hotel 2 times. So I guess this one was last one. I had an experience like this when I forgot my Gucci scarf in another hotel in Vienna and the Staff found it and Sand my by DHL. So This is the difference between The service of this both 5 stars hotels

Breakfast was simple but efficient. Staff quick. I arrived early and it was no trouble at all. Check in was friendly and fast, in fact, reception was very friendly and helpful overall. Room cleaned very well every day. Good mini-bar selection, including snack offer.

No conditioner or separate shampoo provided in shower (instead there were three huge bottles of body wash/shampoo conditioner). No robe. For a high-end hotel, I would expect a little more. There is no hotel bar as such, just a regular bar upstairs which was incredibly loud and busy. Same with restaurants, there is no where to sit and have a quiet drink.

Location was very good, the room was nice, sunny, plenty of space… At the restaurant the food was excellent, but had limited choices…

The shower!… The shower was awkward, the door to the shower opened inward so it was difficult even for medium size people to get in and out. No closet Peres. The space for hanging was very limited, no drawers, just a narrow shelf and hooks on the wall behind the door for hanging. There was a chaise, very pretty one but useless. It had to be used for the clothes and luggage. A nice dresser could be more useful.

First of all the staff was great: friendly, professional, happy to go out of their way to help (for instance ordered a lovely floral arrangement for us) so we could take it to a dinner party, provided other tips on forward rail travel, etc. On top of that, the location of the hotel was fabulous--perfect for visiting the historic city center, the Opera House, Stadtpark...also very nearby were many restaurants , pubs, coffee shops banks, convenience stores, etc. Grand Ferdinand Hotel also had a great rooftop restaurant/bar--really hopping, even on a Tuesday night. Charming horse in the lobby--odd, but charming. Very comfortable bed, which was important getting into town jet-lagged. And the black-out curtains worked great. The room is smallish, but in a central city with a boutique-style hotel that was not unexpected--we've had smaller rooms in good hotels in NYC. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn't end up using the pool, but we saw it and had drinks around it, it's in the same space as the rooftop bar restaurant. So, it might be a bit odd using a fairly it with diners around who aren't using the pool. Note: it's not like a pool in many US properties where it's surrounded by deck chairs, etc and built for people to lounge around it.

Breakfast was posh. I liked it though I didn't really feel at home since I've not used to really fance things and places. The staff was very friendly and polite even though they probably saw I'm not in my normal fish pond and I probably don't know the etiquette. The pool was very nice - it was +32 C outside! Pool shower worked very well too. The towels were gorgeous.

Room lights were working a bit weird. We didn't find out how to use night lamps alone without other lights. (If I remember correctly. Something there was that we were wondering about the lights.) Air circulation in the room could probably be better since my towel and swimwear where very wet in the next morning too. Area around the pool was small. Perhaps another sundeck somewhere for people who are not intending to go in to the actual pool? We got some weird looks from other guests since we actually went into the pool. :D Luckily we weren't the only ones so I guess those sunbathers were really the weird ones.
