The location is excellent. The subway is just in front of the hotel. This is a long established hotel with a equally long history.. The staff were nice. We only had lunch at the hotel and the burger and salad were excellent. The dinning room is good. The room we had faced the opera house and had a nice balcony. The room was good and the bed comfort was excellent. Good expresso machine in the room. Good cocktails bar downstairs with a good selection of cocktails.

If I had to nit pick I would have preferred a separate shower. Nothing else.

The building was amazing. Historical. We have stayed for 9 nights so it was like a home to us. The location is a mintute walk from everything. Under the hotel there is falafel stand and Starbucks (Always busy :). The rooms are authentic european style and decor. marble bathrooms and floors and elaborate curtains.

They gave us complementary 2 psc per guest for ironing everyday. Since I am the mother and we have 4 rooms, I sent them all from my room. They charged all that's for other rooms and didn't tell us that the complementary service is for shirts only!!

The Bristol is a posh five star hotel a few steps from the Vienna Opera House. Everything there is spotless clean and the services are flawless. Not surprisingly, since The Bristol has a reputation it needs to preserve and is a quite expensive place. Breakfast was extensive and very tasty, and customers could order pancakes or omelettes on spot and have them ready in a few minutes. The room was large, well insulated and very stylish. In fact, "style" is the key-word for the Bristol, starting with the doorman and ending with the rest of the staff. My heartfelt compliments after a superb stay in a warm and crowded city.

It's hard to find fault with anything really. Maybe we were a bit surprised because when getting back to the room the air conditioning was a tad weaker than it was when leaving the room. A mere technicality though, to be settled in a couple of minutes.

An amount was blocked on my card each night at around 1-2 AM for what we spent during the day at the restaurant or for the parking. I never encoumtered this in any other hotel and I don’t think it’s appropriate for the hotel to just block certain amounts of money without my permission. These transactions in the middle of the night were also considered suspicious by my bank who wanted to block the card.

The whole experience of staying at The Bristol Hotel Vienna was wonderful. All the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, our rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, there was a grand selection at breakfast and the concierge were extremely helpful. The location for us was perfect, as we had planned to attend performances at the Spanish Riding School and then simply walk around Vienna. If I ever return, I will certainly choose to stay at this hotel.

Location was excellent, staff was very nice, and allowed a late check out.

The room needs to be updated, the bar was small for the size of the hotel, missed breakfast, and was charged for coffee.....this is a famous hotel and I had a higher expectation for the price point. Rooms are sold as an upgrade upon arrival if there is availability for a better room it should automatically be done without an extra charge...as a hotel owner, this is our policy to advance if possible, which makes for a better stay!

To be honest, everything about this hotel was perfect: the setting, the people, the food, the beds, the room. Every single thing was wonderful. We are pretty critical people, so this is saying something ;-). We found it to be absolute perfection! The breakfast was absolutely wonderful! My husband had to do the FODmap diet which is very difficult because he cant eat loads of stuff. The hotel had arranged for gluten free bread, lactose free products and we loved the breakfast, it was so good! Anything was possible, so lovely. The beds are amazing and we are very fussy sleepers, so that is saying something ;-) The room was so wonderful, it really has that Vienna fairy tale style. So lovely. This was by far the best hotel we ever visited and the people are also very helpful.

Absolutely fabulous time. The staff were all so happy, smiling and gracious. All were ever wishing to help. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was glorious in that art deco sense, so you need to want that. If you're into minimalism, then go somewhere else. It gave us a sense of that timeless courtesy and style that comes with a hotel that has class.

The location was outstanding, smack in the middle of the city where all the attractions are But that is not the best attribute of Hotel Bristol. The staff, esp the concierge, were outstandingly helpful and effective. The Concierge got me awesome tickets ti Giselle at the last minute as well was reservations at a Michelin starred restaurant. Bravo

Bed was a little soft

Old world style understated luxury. We have been going to this hotel for half a century and it hasn’t changed. Some will find it needs modernization but we love it the way it is! The restaurant serves typical Austrian fare and is stylish with tables far apart! Prices very fair. Excellent as well for breakfast and afternoon tea.
