Great hotel, recently redone in a 1920’s style with great decor and atmosphere both in the public areas and the room itself. The staff at the reception were lovely and always willing to help. Breakfast held a fair selection of both hot and cold options. Everything always tasted really nice and the breakfast room was always very clean.

If you mean to take transportation to the centre then you’ll be fine, as there are metro stations surrounding the area and the hotel is also quite close with one of Brussels’ main train stations. However, if you’re planing on walking to the centre where the main attractions are, be aware it is quite the stretch - about half an hour walking with a nice pace. Doing it everyday like we did can get very tiresome.

Located on a quiet side street but an easy walk into the city centre. Room was spacious, bed was ultra comfy and shower was fabulous. Good choice of breakfast items and staff were always on hand to assist if necessary

One lift which carries 3 people to serve 8 floors. This is a bit inadequate, especially as the stairs were closed for redecoration for part of our stay. We were on floor 6 and often the lift would be full when it arrived and there would be a lengthy wait for it to go down and back up. This was a minor inconvenience and wouldn’t put me off booking the hotel again.

The hotel was situated well for walking to the city etc. the room and bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty choices.. the staff were all very helpful and friendly

I received a messsage by email on Saturday evening informing me that no cars allowed in brussreis 17 Sept between 9.30sm-7pm!! I went to put my car into a car park only discover at 8.40am my car was lifted and taken to the car pound.. the police on duty told me it was uplifted 5 mins previous to myself.. I had to pay €294 to recover the vehicle and wish to appeal this cost as the time given was incorrect and my vehicle was taken before 8.40am Please forward and email in order to appeal this. Thank you

Hotel facilities and location were great for our needs (short weekend break). Staff were helpful and room was cleaned every day. I liked the fact that there was a firm and a soft pillow available. Twin beds were perfect for mother/daughter. Room has a Nespresso machine which was handy for a quick early morning coffee before heading back to the airport. It took a day for us to get our bearings and to realise just how near we were to Rue Jourdan and Parvis St- Gilles for restaurants, the metro stops of Louise and Hotel des Monnaies, and tram stops on Chau. du Charleroi. It made getting around the city very easy and helped us get the most from our time there.

The corridor on our bedroom floor could do with being brightened up - it's narrow with dark colours and carpet is a bit grubby - which would have the benefit of making it appear wider.

Incredible location and wonderful, friendly staff. They upgraded us when we said we were there to celebrate a birthday. Beautiful, spacious rooms and everything was very clean. The only thing is that some rooms are up flights of stairs (no elevator in the section we stayed) so may not be suitable for everyone depending on mobility. Also, the lights are motion activated so we had to rely on our phone torches when going up to one of the rooms, as the light didn't come on until we reached the landing. For us though, this was a minor issue compared to everything else. Great location with plenty to do within walking distance and public transport was also a short walk away. A beautiful bakery directly across from the hotel which is perfect for breakfast and lunch. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again too. Thank you!

Beautifully decorated hotel with lovely lobby bar. We booked a room with pull-out sofa bed as we were travelling with our two children and it was a great size with a (partially shared) terrace. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean and we loved the velvet drapes and art deco/F Scott Fitzgerald details everywhere. Reception staff on arrival were super-helpful, nothing was too much trouble and he was happy to provide us with an ice bucket for a bottle of wine we had with us. A bit further out, but we enjoyed walking through the Marollen to the centre for an explore and dinner and easily got a taxi back afterwards.

Our air con was broken, so was incredibly noisy and we couldn't keep it on at night. Consequently, we were really hot and had difficulty sleeping, but couldn't get it fixed at the time as it would have disturbed the children. My husband mentioned this to the front desk on check out, assuming they would offer a discount, but they didn't, which was a little disappointing.

Hotel staff was nice. Beds were very comfortable. AC and wife were working excellent. There was a great variety for breakfast. Location was perfect for me, as it was in walking distance to the station and the city center, but also near the tram station leading to the university. There were also several restaurant options nearby, and the neighbourhood felt very safe.

Breakfast could be served a little bit earlier for people on business trips. It would have been nice if the window could be fully opened for ventilation, but AC was working fine.

Nice location, close to trains and trams. Glad we stayed here and not in central Brussels - this is a far nicer area with easy access to all the main sights. Large quiet room, very clean, blackout curtains, good wi-fi. Late night check-in was no problem. We enjoyed our stay.

Bathroom was a bit pokey and didn’t have an anti-slip shower floor, I nearly slipped twice. Reception would do better with smiling or acknowledging guests as it’s quite impersonal, however, they were all very polite and professional when approached.

Really great location. We were given a room with a big terrace on the top floor. Seeing the Brussels skyline from our room was impressive.

There was an issue with the heating in our room. It wasn't possible to turn it off. The weather was really warm in Brussels when we visited and our room was always boiling hot. The radiators also made strange noises all the time. It made it difficult to sleep. We complained to reception but they were not able to fix it, they turned on the air con instead. That's not great for the environment. I think a discount should have been offered.

the quality of the rooms and staff were absolutely fine. Breakfast was good. Location was good , a little out of centre but that was a good thing for us - gave a bit of peace. We had a balcony where we sat out which was really enjoyable - trade off with room size.

The lift was a bit small which when you were in it didn't matter but it meant that you could only get 325KG of people in it (3 !!) so there was a long wait at peak times. The stairs alternative (not much fun from the 7th floor) were like some old castle - "spiral". Coffee machine at breakfast cause everyone some difficulty. Nespresso - unimpressed. There were seats too close to the buffet which resulted in access problems but everyone was polite and coped well. More chairs less sofas. Nothing that would stop you going again.
