Everything was first class from the moment we entered the property until we left it was outstanding in every way. The owners were on hand to meet us, they explained everything about the hotel, nothing was left to chance. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

There was nothing that didn't exceed expectations

The property has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard, the owners have impeccable taste and have kept the character and spirit of the building alive whilst adding modern comforts - also lift for accessibility. Set in a central location only a few minutes walk from the centre of Ypres - museums / cathedral and Menin gate. We were also able to book a secure off road parking space. We stayed in “The View” across from the English church in Ypres Our room was lovely and large with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. luxurious bedding and pillows, sumptuous bath robes and soft towels. Touch operated Electric blinds / curtains / lights and state of the art bathroom with fabulous shower and delightful toiletries. The accommodation is 5* The lounge and breakfast dining room are also beautifully decorated and comfortable and the breakfast was superb, freshly squeezed orange / homemade pancakes / delicious fresh fruits / pastries and more. The hosts are friendly and warm and extremely accommodating and helpful, we wish them every success in this venture as it is rightly deserved. We cannot recommend this boutique hotel highly enough, nor can we wait to return.

There was nothing not to like.

Amazing, service, style, breakfast, and hostess. I could not have wished for better accommodation after 30 days of traveling. I arrived late in the afternoon unable to get a taxi or uber. I rang the accommodation and the Veered said she would send her husband to pick me up. Huge bonus. She then greeted me and showed me around her incredibly beautiful house. My room was huge and tastefully decorated. The bar fridge had a range of drinks stocked in it. Breakfast was delicious in a lovely dining experience. You name it she had it. You can tell Veered loves looking after her clients going out of her way to ensure they feel comfortable, taking time to ask about any other requirements. She even dropped me to my train at 5:45am the morning I left and hung around to ensure I got on the train safely as a solo traveler. Highly recommend this place to stay. Bars and food places all around her place. Laundromat just around the corner as well

Everything was perfect. Perfect hotel, perfect location, perfect hosts & perfect breakfast. This hotel makes you feel like you have arrived at a 5 star hotel. Just 4 rooms - all different. Bedrooms were lavish and bathrooms super modern & luxurious. Arriving after a very hot day on our motorbikes we were met with a very warm friendly welcome. Parking was very secure and under cover. Again perfect for our needs. This is by far the best hotel we stayed in all holiday. Hosts really care about every detail. It’s such a beautiful hotel. We could have easily stayed another few nights. The service held at 8pm every evening at the Menin Gate was very moving. This hotel is in the perfect location just 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. Really hope we get to stay again.

There is nothing not to love about this property. It’s perfect.

Great location for Ypres and exploring the history of the surrounding area. Beautifully renovated hotel. Our host was lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms were amazing, with electric shutters, curtains, air con and lights. Very well laid out and designed. Extremely comfortable and clean, with lots of lovely little touches. Amazing bathroom and well appointed; double sinks, heated mirror, bidet toilet with Rituals toiletries and plenty of towels. There was a kettle and coffee machine and a well stocked drinks fridge in our room. A lot of thought had gone into the design and decoration of the rooms. Breakfast was laid out well and in addition to the continental breakfast of pastries, breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, yoghurts, fruit etc, our host offered us an egg on toast, which was well received. It was great that we could help ourselves to tea and coffee and the machine was easy to use. We liked the sweetie jars and chocolate bars that were available to help yourself to in the lounge and entrance. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We would have like English breakfast tea bags and more than 2 milk sachets in our room, as us English like a cup of tea!! There was a fridge in our room so milk could have been provided. If we had stayed longer we would have bought a carton in the supermarket. We took our tea bags anyway! Limited parking at the hotel for 12 Euros a day, which you should book well in advance. We didn’t but our host lent us a permit to park outside on the street. There was free parking without a permit one street further away if needed. It was not a problem to find parking.

Firstly, the welcome by the owner, who pointed out the car space reserved for us, which was on the hotel grounds and very convenient (at a reasonable daily charge) - she was so lovely. The hotel itself is extraordinary - beautiful interiors, the room was absolutely gorgeous; electric blinds and curtains, huge bed with fabulous linens, huge bathroom, lovely touches such as a small bottle of wine and sweets/snacks and all within 5 minutes walk of the main square. The breakfast was delicious - huge variety of continental items together with pancakes and freshly cooked eggs. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - we will definitely be back, an unforgettable experience.

Nothing!

St-Georges IV is ideally located in Ypres for the market square, restaurants and the Menin Gate . All within easy walking distance. An additional benefit is that car parking is available (pre booking is needed) The decoration of this property has been done to a very high standard as are the facilities available to guests. The property whilst close to the centre is very quiet. A extensive breakfast was served in the dining room. Fresh fruit, cereals , pancakes and eggs etc were all available . A great host preparing to share information and made us most welcome. We would definitely stay here again; it was absolutely fabulous to us.

This guest house is utter luxury and far better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in recently. The welcoming ambience created by owner and hostess Veerle is almost overwhelming. The house is beautiful from the outside and is matched inside by the same. The old facade gives way to a stunning hallway and light interesting reception rooms. The bedroom was cool and bright with electric blinds and curtains and an amazing shower room. There was also a small seating area which was very welcome.

Nothing!

The location was perfect because it was very close to the centre of Ypres but the street was quiet and there were electrically controlled metal shutters which would reduce noise. The hotel is very nicely decorated but there are some instances of style over substance. For instance the the taps in the sinks came out so far you couldn’t bend your head over the sink to wash your face. The proprietor is very helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast quality was good and there was a good variety. There was a lift which is v good. Curtains, lights and blinds all operated electronically

I wish that this and other hotels which had a mini bar, kettle etc would have some fresh milk in the mini bar so guests could make tea! Could do with some drawers and somewhere to put cases on. Not much to complain about
