Location on the main square was superb, two minute walk to the Menin Gate, Cloth Hall Museums and the town centre restaurants. Breakfast was excellent, typical European offering, excellent quality and plenty of food. Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant.

Due to it's position on the main square parking away from the hotel is inevitable. However there are plenty of spaces/places a short walk away, Hotel looked a little dated in it's décor but we were told it will close for renovation at the end of this season.

Pleasant and helpful receptionist. The room had comfortable beds. The hotel had a really good central location (a couple of minutes walk to the Menin Gate) and a good variety of food at breakfast

The room was quite small , especially the bathroom

The location was perfect for our requirements and as we had already researched the free parking zones, it wasn't an issue. The bedroom was airy and clean, albeit basic. The staff were friendly

It was sad to see such a lovely build being lost in an attempt to make the interior modern, it lacked "soul", but this didn't affect our stay regarding sleep etc. Maybe my only proper criticism is that the shower interior behind the sliding doors was dirty.

Room was adequate, bed comfortable but a headboard would have good, along with an extra pillow. The location was exceptional and the breakfast was very good value.

Tea making facilities would have made our stay perfect. There was only a tiny bin in the bathroom for rubbish and a little more space to hang clothes would have been great., but for our 2 night stay this wasn't touch of a problem.

A Fantastic location base for motorcyclists, able to park on pavement next door outside a Bank , CCTV overlooking, the young girl running the place was exceptionally good, she appeared to do every job in the hotel ,cooking, cleaning, reception & the rest ,I hope the owner of the hotel appreciate her loyalty & work ethic in these times , don’t expect a pool, gym or sauna , but expect a warm welcome & great host

unfortunately the restaurant at front of hotel was closed due to lack of available staff Labour! but this wasn’t a problem

Please remember this is a two star hotel. Great location, decent breakfast and good rooms. You could not get more central in Ypres, bars, restaurants, shops, museum and more, on the doorstep. For 9 men over 40 on a Beer and Battlefield tour, it was perfect. The breakfast was continental, enough to keep you going. The rooms where a decent size, enough for two grown men to move about comfortably, mattresses were good, ensuite facilities were large and well lay out.

The pillows need upgrading. The stairs were a nightmare, only used them once, fortunately the lift worked perfectly.

Loved the location. Right on the town square. Close to everything , walking distance to Menin Gate - last post played there every night at 8pm without fail. Loved it. Good brekky - cooked and continental all included. Can't beat this one.

That I couldn't stay longer!

Very basic but superb location right on the square. Room quite hot and could do with a fan and perhaps more plug sockets but given the price, location and cleanliness they are small points.

Not enough plug sockets, no fan.

We loved the location of this hostel style hotel and we were able to park on the street free from 18.00-9.00 and pay up to 4.50 euro for 3 hours. The woman who ran it was very friendly and efficient. There was a lift to the upper rooms. There were numerous restaurants nearby and it was only a 5 minute walk to the Menin gate.

The breakfast was perhaps a little basic

Perfect location on Ieper Grote Markt. Stunning buffet breakfast. Very friendly staff on arrival and check-out. Room was basically furnished, but no 'frills'. Awesome value for money.

A long'ish walk across cobbles (700metres) with a wheely suitcase from any free parking if arriving mid-afternoon and leaving mid afternoon. Best pack a simple overnight bag if staying just one night in Ieper and moving on the following day.
