The location of hotel Ambrosia is perfect. It's very close to the town square and still very close to free parking. the advice and help given even before we set off was excellent and really helpful. When we arrived we were asked what sites we wanted to visit and were given given some solid advice and a free map. The breakfast was excellent with a good buffet and bacon and eggs cooked for you as you arrive (If you want). The rooms were very comfortable, if a little small, but very functional. Toiletries were very good and did the job perfectly. The welcome we received was much appreciated and made us feel very welcome!

Aircon was perfect - coolish not freezing (it was 33 degrees when we were there). Breakfast was lovely, all food options were available and all were delicious. Staff (Pebbles) was super friendly and helpful on everything. Location was within 100 metres of the town square so it couldn't be any more convenient for spending time in Ypres.

There isn't any free parking particularly near but this is because Ypres is an old historical town. it would be the same if it were in the same location in, say, Oxford. Parked for free about 5 minutes walk away.

The choice at breakfast was great with a cooked option as well as a continental selection available. The location is excellent for accessing the centre of Ypres , restaurants, shops and the Menin gate which is about a 10 minute walk away.

Although there is no car park, it is often possible to park outside to unload your car. You need to pay for on street parking but there is a car park one street away (about a 2 minute walk) which costs 2 euros per day.

Super conveniently located in the center of Ieper, this family-run hotel offers excellent value for money. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was yummy. We had an issue with a light fixture in our room and the owner immediately came to fix it. would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The only downside is that it’s paid street parking around the hotel, with free parking at a ten min walk. no big deal for us but less convenient for some, perhaps. also, this hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues due to small, steep staircases.

The property was well located to the Main Square of Ypres and the Menin gate. Breakfast was very nice and we were offered a cooked breakfast if we wished. Marie was very helpful with instructions for the parking in the street and even changed a note into coins for us to use. The room was a good size and quiet at night.

Location was excellent 5 minutes walk to main square and parking nearby. Breakfast was good and cooked by Peables freshly when you came down, such a lovely bubbly lady who chatted with us advising us of places to visit. Free coffee in reception in the morning up to 10am.

Room was abit on the small size and we where on different floors to the rest of our party. Could have done with tea and coffee facilities in the room for when you got back in at night.

Breakfast room was great, the breakfast had a very good choice, all you had to do was ask. they also spoke very good English which was very helpful to me The Hotel is in a good position to access most of the tourist spots easily on foot. Parking is a problem for this hotel as it is for most of the hotels in the town.

The Menin Gate has scaffolding around it but this is nothing to do with hotel.

Fabulous location, lovely hosts - very welcoming and had lots of local information for us. Very comfortable bed, cooked breakfast was fast and delicious. Glad to have an overhead fan in the room as it was warm when we stayed. Would stay again.

We would have liked to be able to make a hot drink in the room, however there are facilities for this downstairs. The stairs may be a problem for the less able, but weren’t for us. The room and bathroom are small, so wouldn’t want a long stay, but fine for a couple of night.

The hotel is a gem, a real oasis of calm close enough to the centre to be easy to walk too but on a quiet street. The rooms (1) was gorgeous, lovely comfy bed plenty of space to move around and soft towels and linen. The shower and toilet had everything you need. We had to leave before breakfast but Pebbles made sure we took a bag of pastries with us for the ferry. What a lovely touch.

Friendly welcome. Spotlessly clean throughout and great breakfasts included in the room price. Both continental and freshly cooked available and offered with a smile. Location perfect down a fairly quiet backstreet less than 5 minutes walk from the central square and the Cloth Hall with its superb museum. Comfortable large beds.

We have no criticisms to make.
