The property was beautifully kept, both the room we stayed in and the gardens that were available for all the guests to enjoy. The gardens were colourful and well maintained, obviously displaying the owners horticultural skills. The room was immaculate and had everything we could have possibly required. The breakfast was amazing!! A lot of choice and plenty for everyone. The guesthouse itself was clean, tidy and beautifully presented and only a short walk away from the centre of Ypres. We only had one night there but it was fantastic. The host was a lovely, friendly lady and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend a stay at this delightful guesthouse!!

Nothing. It was beautiful.

Excellent location within the city ramparts and easy to navigate by car when locating the property. Just 10/15 min. walk to the centre and Menin Gate. Magda and her neighbour who helps with breakfast were very friendly and helpful. This is a true small B&B with breakfast in her kitchen and dining room. Unbelievable breakfast is provided from bacon/eggs to many pastries, cereals and breads and an array of meats and cheese and fruit and jams. Whilst we were just a couple the room did have a third bed but should warn that it is in a separate building up a metal staircase that may not be easy if you have any disability. There was good air con as well and good size bathroom and shower and all rooms overlook a well kept small garden. The area was very quiet and clean and the whole town was remarkably clean. Parking is available on the street and is free from 6pm to 9am and Magda will provide a blue disk that allows 2 hours free parking and you can park for free just outside the city ramparts nearby

The sink in the room was cracked

It was a very nice well maintained property with a good sized room that had a door leading onto a roof terrace, the gardens below & the hanging baskets were full of flowers & looked beautiful. The bathroom had a nice shower as well as the normal, breakfast was really good with a choice of bacon & eggs as well as bread rolls, cheese & other selections.

Parking was a bit of a problem which I hastened to add was sorted by the owner who told us to park in the shop car park next door, we left the car there for the 2 days we were there with no problems. The stairs up to the room were a wooden spiral type, the runs in the left side were very narrow & they were steep, however we managed without any mishaps.

We stayed at many B&Bs during out trip and this one had the best breakfast by far. The house and gardens were also stunning. It's also within easy walking distance of downtown Ypres and the train station. The owners also provides a blue parking pass so you can park on the street during the day for two hours at a time if you have a rental car. Also, the owners were so kind and friendly. We stayed in a loft room a few steps away from the main house. The room had everything we needed and it was very easy to come and go freely. We were a party of three adults so the accommodations were a little small for our party but the beds were comfortable and we were mostly touring and so we didn't stay in our room other than to sleep.

Really well placed B&B only a 10-15 minute walk from the Menin gate. Rooms are compact but are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Very comfortable bed and tea coffee in the room. Breakfast was excellent and included in the price. Very good value. We were able to park our motorcycle in the garage for an extra 10 euro, which again is good value. The owners speak English and are a very nice couple. We used this place as our last stop before home via Le Shuttle which is about 60 miles away and we will most definitely stay here again.

Nothing.

Beautifull building at a good location. A clean, albeit a bit old, interior. Very friendly people. Great breakfast with yoghurt, lots of fruits, breads, bacon, eggs, quality butter, coffee, thee, orange juice etc.

We didn't like the fact that the "double bed" consisted of two seperate single beds and matrasses that were just moved together. The gap in between is annoying. For more introversial people it is worth noting that all guests eat at one big breakfast table.

The property was lovely. Our room was comfortable and included a small kitchenette which was a pleasant surprise. Magda was lovely and accommodating. We asked if we could drop our luggage early on check in day and she let us into our room early instead.

It isn’t a great place to stay if you have any sort of mobility issues. Our room was off the roof top terrace and you had to access it by a steep outdoor spiral staircase. It wasn’t an issue for us but I can imagine it might be for some people.

It was about ten min walk from town. A lovely walk along the canal got us into town. The beautiful garden to the rear of the property where we had breakfast, which was a well thought through menu combination of continental and English . All staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. There is parking to the front of the property, but some restrictions with that. The staff informed us as soon as we got there as to what was allowed, Parking wise. Will definatly go again

Perfect location, just a little way from the hustle & bustle of the centre but within a stones throw of the ramparts. The facilities were excellent and the availability of secure and safe parking for my motorbike was a real bonus. The room was larger than expected and, whilst within the garden area of Ter Vesten, remained secluded but only steps away from the main (beautiful) dwelling. Breakfast was a feast. Bacon & eggs on offer and a whole host of fruits, cold meats, cereals, fresh bread, fruit and drinks.

Nothing. Everything was available!

The property is in a great location for the town of Ypres and the Menin Gate, we had the room in the garden which was self contained, and nicely private, breakfast was stunning and plentiful a mix of served hot and huge array of cold options from fruits to cheeses

nothing bad just a observation, parking is in the supermarket next door, which is locked overnight, not sure if it’s a agreed thing between the owner and the B&B, there were towing signs which did make us a bit uncomfortable, however some guests did get a permit for the road parking, so best to ask before booking if your precious about your car.
