Vitosha Park Hotel

Great room, very stylish and modern. Really nice view (if you have luck to be on a higher floor and on the better hotel sides). Great, huge bed, very nice bathroom with hot water all the time. Everything that you might need is present and I will definately visit again if I need similar stay.

It's a great room overall, but for a deluxe, modern and renovated one I think it should be a little bit more clean - dust and dirty footprints on the floor. A lot of dust below the desk. Finger drawings on the bathroom mirrors and glasses. Broken water jug. VERY limited tv channels, missing even the national ones. Missing towel and very low heating (probably general for the whole hotel, because of the warmer weather outside).

Second time here and had a great stay. Big modern room. Very big and comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Invoice provided. Free parking near the University. Big green park in front of the hotel. Coffee machine in the room. Nice view over the city. Lots of sunshine in the morning, but there are blackout curtains if you need.

No slippers and bathrobes so you can't go decent at the swimming pool. Empty minibar. No shops or restaurants in proximity. You have to walk for at least 10-15 min or more for a restaurant or metro station. Far from city center.

The location was good, near to the university. There was a parking place at the property and it was free of charge. The breakfast was very tasty, various and for all claims. The coffee was very good. The apartment for 3 people was very spacious with 2 bedrooms and a living room. Also, there were 2 TV sets in the apartment and coffee and tea for 3 people. Spa retreat was available (extra charge).

The daily cleaning was not done. There wasn't any recycle bin in the room.

The spa was beautiful. The hotel had a very tranquil feel about it, located right by a park. Our room was amazing overlooking the park with a lounge area as we were there a week. The wifi worked brilliantly from everywhere in the hotel. The receptionist was very professional and went over and above to change our accommodation.

They had no evening restaurant only breakfast was supplied which had a good choice. Initially when we checked in, we were given a very small room, however within the hour we were moved swiftly into our larger accommodation so this professionalism we liked very much.

Having lived in Sofia for years in the past, I have recently come around staying in hotels. I tried a few before and they are all either terribly priced or run-down. Not Vitosha Park Hotel! I was genuinely impressed with the hotel management, given that it is one of the older big hotels in the city. All premises are super large and spacious. The lobby is grand, yet cosy. Rooms are spotless clean and have everything you need. There was practically no wear and tear in my room which, again, was surprising given the age of the property. There is also free secure parking. For the £40 I paid for my room, this is excellent value for a European capital!

WiFi was solid, but it could have been faster.

Unfortunately the room wasn’t so clean.There were cigarette ash on the floor below the window and also when you open the window. In the bathroom above the shower system there was soap from previous guests and quite a bit of dust on the furniture.Also the guy at the reception was expressionless he doesn't even look at you and answered with grimaces

I believe it's a nice place to stay in Sofia. The hotel is not central but I didn't mind, it's actually near a university and has a nice park around. The room was on one of the top floors and we had a nice view of the mountains. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Everything was ok in terms of facilities. The bathroom was also very clean. PS: the cakes from the bar on the ground floor are super delicious.

One of the beds in the room was broken but they changed the room without any issue.

Modern building located in peaceful area, easily reachable by car or on foot (10 min walk to 1 of 2 subway stations nearby). Quite a big and very clean room. Very comfortable bed, very nice and well-equipped bathroom. Pretty good breakfast (super tasty mini pancakes). Free parking.

Check-in process was kind of slow and chaotic. Didn't like the fact that while processing of our data they switched to other guests and left us completely unattended for couple of minutes. We just stood there like idiots.

The receptionist, at 9 at night that we arrived at the hotel for one night only, didn't give one towel that was missing from our room. He said he thought one only towel in the room it's Ok to use by a couple (!!). He was very persistent to that, saying at first that he didn't' have any towels. Then he explained why 1 only is enough. And after, he gave us 2 big towels, asking why we needed them (!!)

Lack of service attitude from the crew. The cleaning lady lost my contact lens case. When I asked at the recepetion to buy me a new case, they refused to take any responsablity, asked me "can I pruve it?" and didn't show any willing to help.
