Sukchan is such a real person. Down to earth, friendly and always makes eye contact when speaking with you. His desire is for you to have the best time possible while at his place. He treats you as if you were the only person there and you are of utmost importance. The room was super clean, the kitchen ware was great, it had an actual vent that goes outside, not recirculated back into the room! Everything is well thought out. He does everything with an eye to future proofing and ensuring that it’s all quality from top to bottom. It shows. The bathroom has great fixtures, the towels are better than I get at hotels that cost double. It’s the little things sometimes. Nothing is run down, dirty or broken. Everything is as new or close. He even had one of his staff get my suitcase from the second floor. I’ve been to so many hotels and motels and Medicine Hat, from budget to high end and nothing comes close to the service, care and quality that I’ve seen with him and Riverside Motel

Easy access to highway and great price. Full kitchenette with minimal dishes, silverware and pots in room for use. Separate wifi for every room. There is no cable or satellite connected to the tv but it’s easy to log in your own streaming service to watch on the tv. Owner at office is very nice and accommodating. Food services nearby will deliver to your room upon request but the building is right next door. Car wash available across the street. There was a convention in town and almost no hotels had open space and if they did their prices were way to high for only that reason but this place was incredibly reasonably priced.

No continental breakfast, No swimming pool as expected.

This room was wonderfully modern. Obviously much attention was given to this motel when remodeled. Full kitchenette including an induction hot plate. Very good WiFi. Comfortable bed. Not fancy place but a good nights rest. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

My second time. It’s even better this time around. I have stayed in so many hotels in the area. This place is the best for me. Clean, updated, can cook, quiet and Sukchan is everything everyone says he is. Impossible not to like him. He goes above and beyond for his guests.

It is a little far away from downtown and is well located if you have a car on your own or can rent one. All the rest was ok...the wifi is fast and stable...there is no breakfast service, but it has amenities to cook your meals. As well it has laundry in the place. The owner is also the manager and a great guy, always alert to assist and help you.

The location is a bit away from the stores and the mall. There is a public transportation app to help you move through the city, but the manager doesn´t have any information. He has phone numbers for different cab companies, but they are expensive. It could be great if he would recommend public transportation to keep your budget in check.

The owner, Sukhchan, was greqt and was able to accommodate my very late check-in (1am). The rooms have recently been renovated and are very clean and comfortable. They also have nice big tubs, and I only wish I had enough time to take a bath in it. The location is also great, just off the main highway and behind a restaurant that starts serving breakfast at 6am. The prices looked very reasonable (2 eggs, hash, toast and choice of 4 bacon, sausage or ham - $8). I didn't have time to eat so I don't know how good it is, but I'll try it next time.

I couldn't get local TV on the TV, but that may have been user error on my part. It is set up with streaming channels you can sign into though.

Love the renovations at this cute little motel, they have 2 dedicated pet friendly rooms on the ground floor so you don’t pay an extra fee, there is a nice walking trail along river, it’s right off the highway and not far from historic downtown. There’s a decent restaurant, pizza place and convenience store next door. the kitchen was well equipped and good pressure in the shower. The room was very clean; and even though they are doing renovations the property was clean and tidy; the construction debris neatly put aside and never blocking the parking area. The owner is very attentive, he knows his target market and he caters very well to them, as a former hotelier myself I was impressed. The motel was busy but quiet, it’s not fancy, it’s a motel, but I’ve paid more elsewhere in The Hat for lesser quality and poor service and this is the only place I will stay again next time I’m in town. Owner-operated properties are rare but refreshing.

I would have appreciated thicker pillows, a mattress protector on the bed, (mattress is new and clean), and an extra blanket. Also the odour of fabric softener was overpowering and the towels are soft but don’t absorb water.

The best price for a rather big queen room with full kitchen. I haven't seen a good price like this queen room with or without kitchen for a very long time. This old motel is still undergoing renovation by owner. My room was nicely renovated and kept clean. I like the hard wood floor instead of smelly old carpet. A full size fridge and almost fully equipped basic kitchen. I was assigned a ground floor room as requested and it was like to park right in front of my room, which made moving luggage a piece of cake. I will definitely stay in this motel when I visit the city again.

The first thing that bothered me was the smell of kind of cheap perfumes in the room. The fridge was not level properly. Due to the location by the main highway, and trucks were allowed to use engine braking, it was rather noisy when the windows were open. I understand the reason of using dark color towels but never like the idea myself. Personally, I think better beddings will enhance my two night stay quite a bit. There was no blanket or comforter provided.

Owner of property was onsite and a nice guy. Room was clean and full kitchen.

TV in room had no channels. You need to have Amazon prime, Netflix or another subscription to watch TV. Just seemed kind of odd to not have basic local television channels at a minimum.
