The breakfast was well maintained and had good options for everyone in our family. There are many restaurant choices within walking distance of this hotel, and other shopping. The beds were comfortable.

We didn’t realize the bright LED light on the heating unit would light up our room at night. It was mentioned in the page of information provided at check-in…that we read the next morning. The helpful staff responded promptly and reset it so that it was no longer a problem for us.

We like this hotel because we know it's pet friendly. We have stayed here 3 times with our dogs now. When we travel from Fort St John to the island. We usually are on a late ferry. So we like coming here to spend the night before going to Campbell River. I like the neighborhood so I can walk my dogs in the morning. The dogs are comfortable, the room its nice, clean and the beds/matresss are very comfy. I like the 1st floor room so I can easily take my dogs out to do their buisness. It's quiet and unlike other hotels, the ac is quiet. One we stayed at in Prince George was clunky and cycled on and off all night. Thank you!

When I drove up I was underwhelmed as the building looks a little old school from a distance. I was late checking in, but there were still a few parking spots close to the front door. When I walked in everything was fresh and new, staff were fantastic and the room I was in felt recently renovated. Carpet was new, bed was perfect, room was very clean. Best hotel sleep I've had in a very long time. So quiet in there.

Breakfast was wonderful. The staff even made me fresh gluten free waffles! The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were wonderful. The bathroom was meticulously clean

I did find a hair elastic on the floor in my room that did not belong to me so I questioned the cleanliness but overall very clean. My freezer didn't work great which was a must for me for post surgery ice packs.

Breakfast included in the room rate was pleasant surprise. Also bottled water complimentary from reception. Although located within a business park the location was convenient for exploring both north and south of Nanaimo, and a few restaurants within walking distance.

Nothing to dislike.

Cleanest hotel I have stayed at in years. Absolutely spotless. Staff were SO lovely and attentive. Close proximity to Starbucks, and a giant grocery store, and a mall. The a/c worked well & was quiet!

There isn’t a ton of parking on site. (Good overflow parking was avail)

Breakfast was excellent. Location was good. The parking felt safe. The beds were super comfy. The only wee tiny thing that was tricky was the squeakiness of the bathroom door. 🤣

As I said, it would have been good to have a bit of WD40 in the bathroom door so we didn’t wake each other up when using it.

It’s just a normal hotel size room but it was very clean. They are remodeled dark in colors but it was spotless. They have. Starbucks 4-5 minutes walking distance.

The location is in the middle on the roads and we encountered homeless people as we walked out for a coffee.

Breakfast had a lot of choices and the hot foods were hot. Finding a table was not hard a table and everyone enjoyed their breakfast. The staff were freindly and helpful. Check in was easy and fast. The room was comfortable for all of us and was nicely updated and very clean. The whole experience was great and we look forward to coming back to Northgate best Western.

This is a nice hotel; the rooms are well appointed and are comfortable. The breakfast was good.

The lobby was uncomfortably cold, but the rooms etc were not. The lobby was cold in hopes of helping keep upper rooms comfortable. (The weather was hot).
