Best Western Plus Barrie

The room size was good, staff at the reception were very polite and friendly, breakfast was excellent with many choices, the location was convenient, the room was fairly clean and comfortable,

The vending machines were almost empty, the coffee maker in the room wasn't working, the TV was not set up correctly, many channels had images kind of flattened, the air conditioning was very noisy when it was running

I was greeted by Brittany, she was fantastic,there was a mistake made on my room, but took care of it in a timely manner. Her customer service was second to none. My company gives 150% customer service, so when I travel, and I receive customer service at that level,I have to let the company know. Arlene the manager was top notch, I had to have a fax sent for my business and she took care of it, plus I was having problems with the internet, she rectified it immediately. I definitely intend to stay at This Best Western again. Unfortunately being I just got out of the hospital, I couldn't use any of the amenities but my sons and their girlfriend and my wife were over joked. I Recommend highly for anybody looking for a place to stay for business, to definitely stay here.

Convenient location to local hockey rinks. Friendly staff. Nice selection at breakfast. More importantly, When my new truck didn’t start in the morning, and no other guests in the hotel were able to help, on the morning of a semifinal hockey game, the staff at the front desk around 9 AM we’re nothing but amazing. Thankfully there was a charged booster pack available for this anxiety inducing morning surprise. It also didn’t help to find 100 pinecones mostly packed in my engine

Tiny elves knocking on my door and running away at different hours. 7:00 am and, To my chagrin, the children right outside my door didn’t know which way they ran. I politely asked the children to scare the elves away the next time they came around but it didn’t work!! A struggle ensued in the hall about 10 minutes later, I was scared, shut the door hard the score of the Avs away and called the front desk for help. They must’ve taken down the security guard as well. I hope he made if not, he was a nice guy. prayers to his family and side piece.

Staff welcomed us. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. When some things ran out, they were replenished quickly and kindly on request. Excellent and helpful breakfast staff person. The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We did not hear road noise. The in-room coffee supplies were excellent, and decaf was included.

Pool hours ended as we arrived. We did arrive fairly late in the evening due to travel times. Another hour added to pool time would be nice, but I understand why the hotel limits hours.

It was great the kids enjoyed staying in a motel. They lived the food and the pool. I enjoyed the staff being so freindly and the price was great especially for a room that holds all 5 of us.

The pool was a bit small and the air very cold after we swam. And there was small amounts of mold in the bathroom and i could see the shower walls were needing a scrub. The heater/airconditioner would not work in the seprate bedroom. Found it a bit stuffy for sleeping

Room was spacious and very clean. Really liked having both a mini fridge and microwave in the room with lots of shelving space above the microwave area. Cleaning lady was very helpful and friendly when we requested additional supplies on our second day. Lots of parking available and breakfast was decent considering the covid restrictions. Morning coffee was delicious.

We were in room 205 and both mornings around 6 am we could hear consistent scraping noises in the area above us. It sounded as if chairs were being pulled in and out from a table. We wondered if it was a conference room and maybe breakfast was being set up?

Kitchen staff was quick to smile and very accommodating The breakfast was very good and the eating area was spotless

I had to go through bookings.com because I could not get the direct phone number. Housekeeping failed to remove used towels and did not empty the garbage pails. Only made the bed.

The breakfast room was comfortable and clean. The bed in our room was very comfortable. Everything seems nice and clean.

How the breakfast room is arranged was confusing. Doesn’t have a good flow. The room was huge so it felt empty. Could use a more comfortable couch. The bathtub looks a bit rough.

Everything was wonderful! In February of this year, I needed to visit Barrie, Ontario to help a very ill relative. (This, during the pandemic, and amid a federal and provincial "grey lock-down"). Driving in from the U.S., I was required to bring food and medications for 14 days and to quarantine alone in the hotel room for 14 days. The hotel staff was kind and gracious, providing a larger refrigerator, and bringing me (and leaving outside my door) not just a "to-go" bagged breakfast, but also a hot breakfast each morning. I was working the entire time I was there. Once out of quarantine, the front desk printed my things and helped me with directions and plans. As well, they were flexible with my travel plans as we discerned my relative's needed medical care and the time I need to stay/was able to stay to help him. The hotel was always clean, followed safety protocols, required masks of all guests, and all staff wore masks. Everyone, especially Brittany and the woman who did the breakfasts, was INCREDIBLY cheerful and kind.

Pool was still closed so kids were disappointed. I had asked for a play pen/crib at time of booking and received an email verifying one would be available. However on the morning we began our trip I was advised by email that this location did not provide cribs/play pens. It was too late to cancel without incurring a financial penalty.
