Comfort Inn Barrie

Linens were comfortable, air conditioning nice and cool, team were welcoming and helpful, overall the room was clean, but best of all, access to parking lot!!

The bathroom had visible mildew (pink residue) on the grout and a dark stain, appearing to be mold along a section of caulking in shower. Room had a bit of an odour upon arrival, unsure if it was a product used, or smell in carpet, but did dissipate over the stay. Pet allowances are great but neighbour across the hall left dog unattended, who proceeded to bark for an extensive period. The team was helpful once we finally gave up on owners and called the desk, they seemed to have found the owner as it did stop fairly shortly after that.

The staff - especially the morning front desk lady! Top notch - we stayed 2 nights previous at your neighbouring hotel and your front desk morning lady is leagues ahead in customer service. The breakfast, water machine, comfy beds and pillows, and did I mention the staff were great.

Only complaint is that the outside lights were quite bright even with curtains, but the bed was comfy enough to make up for it. And bright lights, at night, out back, is a good thing if you happen to be out there!

It was good for us just a one night's stay.

Pool was out of order And we brought our bathing suits.. I booked online and there was no mention that the pool was not working. Breakfast was really good but apparently there was no paper plates as the order did not come in and they were waiting for the truck. I think my wife and I actually got the last 2 paper plates and I still remember maybe 15 people coming in after us and there was no plates for them to use...

- Good Breakfast - Comfortable room - All necessary amenities available inside the room exept a Coffe Machine - Parking available at the property

- Easy access to the room. Carrying Luggage through the Emergency staircase was a challange - Coffee machine inside the room (As per the hotel all machines were removed during the COVID period and stationed a Coffee station at the reception)

The breakfast was great. Nice that the Comfort Inn recognizes the importance of maintaining their level of service. NO bagged breakfast, so many hotels are only prividing this, not, the Comfort Inn, they had a staff member serve scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns and waffles. You were able to also select from cold cereals and other items. When we arrived, they originally had us booked for the second floor, however, my room mate cannot negotiate stairs, and the clerk quickly switched us to another room on the first floor, no issue at all.

The only downfall was that your key could not open tje back door and since it was pouring rain, I got soaked walking to the front door to get to our room.

Breakfast was good good variety

Tv was new and had only five channels. No sport channels no news channels No instructions on how to find normal channels. Staff were excellent but didn’t have technical knowledge. There was an offer to move to another room

Breakfast was for such kind of hotel quiet good. Will miss the sausage, bit spicy.Therefore, good to me. Bed must been good, slept very well.

Can’t complain since I liked the breakfast but the eggs, probably out of carton, looked like tofu and were without taste.

great location easy on/off to 400hwy. close to all amenities. free breakfast was good good selection. Hotel was clean staff awesome

the mattress was very worn with great sag in the middle.

Just took some fruit to go, but the breakfast and coffee smelled good.

The shower faucet seemed loose and made a "squealing" noise while I was showering. Had to fiddle with it to make it stop, but it would start again. A minor difficulty. Also thought it odd that there were no disposable cups in the room, but just went to the lobby to get some.

Breakfast was adequate, similar to other places. Happy they made the effort to provide breakfast during lockdown. Room was exactly what I was expecting, bed was comfortable, temperature control was good and great having a fridge and microwave.

Remote control for TV was not in good shape. Battery cover was missing and several of the buttons on it did not work without repeated tries. Simple to fix....get a new one to save your paying customer the frustration. I would also recommend a second set of lighter curtains inside the thick heavy ones currently in place. With the curtains closed the room was totally dark even in the middle of the afternoon. Would have been nice to have a lighter set of curtains to let at least some light through during the daytime.
