From the moment we walked into this hotel, we were impressed. Friendly welcome from the receptionist, and we found our room to be well-presented. Very comfortable beds, and the bathroom was spotless. Large TV straight opposite the main bed. We ate at the neighbouring pub, and would recommend this to anyone, because the food and drink there is excellent (huge portions) and a discount is offered to hotel guests. Breakfast is good -- but any place that has a make-your-own waffle-maker gets my vote! Great location for the waterfront area, too.

The car park is a little bit tight, but I think this will improve as the significant waterfront development in Orillia progresses. This is a very minor gripe, though.

We were visiting a family member in Orillia, so we had picked The Champlain Waterfront for its location which is right next to the lake, the main street and a good sized Metro grocery store. We were delighted with the hotel itself. Check in was effortless, the staff were friendly, the room was clean and super comfortable, and the adjoining bar/restaurant Fionn MacCool's was exactly what we needed to unwind after a long day of travelling. We will definitely be staying again on our next trip to Orillia, we loved it.

We can't actually fault our stay!

Lobby staff were very courteous and friendly. Because I had seen on line that that the prices had come down, I asked if there was a room upgrade available to us preferably on an upper floor at the same price. The staff were very accommodating and switched us to a 2nd floor room. This was much better than the lower floor.

Coffee maker did not work so my husband went to lobby for coffee and muffins.

We stayed because of emergency an needed to go to the hospital. 4 mons down the road. Chellie a staff member say my anxiety and helped and rush me to my room. I appreciate her understanding and making me feel welcome. Great location for every thing you need.

Some of the extra changes like marketing tax. I pay you to market to me ...lol plus city tax ok but then another community tax. The rate plus plus.

Limited parking. Maybe they could come to an agreement with Golden Wok next door to use part of their lot. Toilets are very low making it had to get up. Maybe they could add a 4- 5 " rizer seat for Seniors. Just takes a couple of minutes to install.

It was close to the Mariposa Folk Festival venue.

Wifi was intermittent. Hotel couldn't provide a receipt due to wifi down & never emailed receipt as requested. Room was small & taken up mostly by the bed. Breakfast was not very satisfactory.

Room was small but very comfortable and very clean. Continental breakfast was very good.

Parking could be a bit of a problem especially if the hotel is fully booked. However, given the location and the history of the hotel this is a minor inconvenience .

Location was close for walking through the downtown area and waterfront and close to 2 restaurants.

Not enough parking spaces at hotel but offer parking in the public lot. Rooms are small but are updated and adequate for an overnight stay.

The staff was great, the hotel was very clean and the location was fantastic.

The parking was horrible and I didn’t like having to challenge the cleaning staff for a parking spot, when they could have used the adjacent parking lot.

The staff were helpful and the room was clean and well equipped. The location of the hotel is excellent with respect to the lake, restaurants, shops.

The room was a little small. The mattress on the bed was too soft for my wife.
