Room was very comfortable, complete kitchen with everything I needed and bathroom was amazing! Room was very clean and looked brand new! Location was astonishing, lots of green and they facilitate your dislocation with staff providing golf-cart ride around the resort (no extra fee)

Food options was limited for family with young kids, price was way too high although with good quality. Room service was ok, but again very costly with extra fees on top of the tip. I missed printed menus in the room. they provide R codes but some of them were not working.

The mattresses need to be changed. The mattress topper slipped as soon as you moved in bed. Too short. The furniture has lived and required a good renovation. The hotel surfs on its name. Kitchen a bit under furnished. The only real problem was the bed which is close to the wost we have experienced in a Marriott. A King bed with a miserable mattress that caused me to feel every twitch and bounce and turn my husband made , keeping me awake much of the night. and i really hate the smushy pillow-top mattress . Would also have liked a larger beach ..more room for those of us who dont get up early enough to grab / reserve a space down there. Food is pricy and the price of alcoholic drinks is ridiculous.

The meals were excellent and waitstaff attentive and pleasant. Buffets were amazing, love them and was so glad they were available. Mia, Akshay, Anthony, William, and Sherman went out of their way to make our stay seamless. Amazing staff. The bar/grill poolside down by the waterfront was great as well. Everything convenient to the pool. Very relaxing. In addition staff were prompt in delivering whatever we needed brought to our room ie extra bedding. Repairs to a leaking fridge was serviced quickly despite it being quite late at night when we noticed, and called for assistance.

Our suite had a leaking fridge, the screen on the sliding door leading out to the balcony had a huge rip and the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom was soaked with water; I suspect from a leak somewhere. Some of the toiletries we brought with us were affected.

The JW Marriott Muskoka has dramatically improved their entire operation. Clearly there is new General Manager. This is evident from the very first point of contact. I have stayed here a few times, just for the view and scenery. The view from the hotel terrace of Lake Rousseau literally makes me cry. It is breathtakingly beautiful! What used to be a supreme disappointment since it opened back in 2009-2010 is now a superb, ultra-luxurious 5 star experience. The change in service, the food, the restaurant is dramatic and remarkable. The staff is in training and there is room for improvement but I can see it won’t take long and I am coming back soon! They have hired well - all cheery, smart and friendly staff. They’re happy and it shows! This is a huge reflection on the management team. The JW Marriott Muskoka to me, always used to feel like the Motel 6 with a great view. Now this resort may finally soon compete with some of the top Fairmont Resorts in the world. Excellent experience!

There is very little I didn’t like. The in room coffee is dreadful. The wine list needs some work. That about it.

The JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa provided us with a lovely time. Every one of the personnel we encountered was pleasant and willing to assist us, from valet to check-in to the pool attendants and housekeeping crew. Kudos to the following - Christian, Valet Attendant Jilan, Guest Reception Staff Rajat, Guest Reception Supervisor Johary, Food & Beverage Staff Faith, Guest Reception Staff Jamie, Housekeeping Staff We failed to mention the name of the person who delivered our belongings into the room and the Guest Reception Supervisor who helped us with our issue while we were checking out. This property's entire staff is outstanding! All of them go out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Please recognize your employees at JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa. The hotel was lovely, tidy, and ideal for a birthday, anniversary or any special celebration.

Our room is a little bit warm when we arrived. We raised our concern immediately to Guest Relations about our room being a little warm when we arrived, they apologized and told us that the Engineering Team will look into it, as well as allowing us a late check-out as a pleasant gesture.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurants were good as well. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and they really went above and beyond to make it special. There was a gift and bottle of wine in the room when we arrived and a special dessert during our first dinner. Rajat and some of the front desk staff were extremely kind and helpful. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub were a welcome luxury. Ashkay at the bar was very attentive and made a great Caesar. The live entertainment the first night was fantastic. The bird of prey show was really interesting as well. They did a good job of having things to keep the kids interested.

The price was a bit high overall, but the kicker is that it was much less to stay than it usually is. We’ve looked previously and were considering coming back in the summer to be able to enjoy the property/amenities more, but it’s around $1,000 a night. O_O So, as much as we would like to come back again, it sadly isn’t feasible for us.

Exceptional welcome on arrival. The suite was fantastic. Great view. Nice bathrooms. Fabulous soaking tub. Excellent service throughout. Wonderful pool. Loved the Muskoka vibe - even the granite surfaces resembled Muskoka rock. I would like to say a special thank you to Patrick, who welcomed us on arrival, took care of luggage, etc. It was effortless. On departure, my car had not been brought up as I expected, and Patrick saw me waiting, asked how he could help, and ran to get my car himself. He is an excellent ambassador for the hotel.

The mattress cover and sheet on the king bed kept coming off. They were too small for the bed. For winter, the fireplace did not have enough flame to produce ambiance. The shower head in the main bedroom sprayed everywhere except where you wanted it to hit. Very hard to rinse hair, etc. Should be replaced.

The location is great with amazing views. Rooms and other hotel facilities were well maintained. Lots of things to do with kids. We really enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool.

Limited access to shade on the beach. Very long waiting times in the hotel's restaurants. Pricy

Because I have long hair I appreciated the generous size tubes of shampoo/conditioner and the pure soap unlike most other hotels.we only stayed the one night but would have liked to stay longer to enjoy some of the perks of the area. But thank you for the lovely experience

Not exactly a hot breakfast Disliked the in-room powdered creamer ..yuck! There’s a fridge so why not small cream/milk like in the breakfast room??
