Typical of this chain, clean and well kept rooms, great beds and bathroom. Did not have breakfast but they have Starbucks on site.

The dog charge is clearly a financial opportunity to make some easy revenue. A $40 charge can in no way be reflected in the cost of 'pet cleaning'. That would be the wages of two housecleaners working for an hour in one room. By far most dogs would be well toilet trained before owners would allow them in a hotel room. And the move in dogs is toward non shedding varieties. Unjustifiable.

I had the Sunday brunch and it is always really good. Bed super comfortable Rooms were clean

There was a consistent banging coming from where in the hotel. It was Sunday morning so I don’t believe it was construction. Could not figure out where it was coming from but it was loud enough to wake me from sleep at 7 am.When I did fall back asleep, house keeping knocked on my door at 9 am. I did not have a do not disturb but I thought that to be very early when check out is noon. I am a very light sleeper and so I only managed to get about 4 hours of undisturbed sleep between loud guests until 3 am, the banging and the house keeper. My room was at the end of the hall close to the exit stairs and could hear very clearly every time the door closed and that went on until 3 am. These things are out of the control of the hotel but things to consider if you’re hoping to sleep well.

Front desk staff in particular were wonderful - helpful, personable and knowledgeable. Additional facilities, housekeeping, bar and event staff I encountered were also friendly and courteous.

Out of the control of the property, but the road is somewhat busy with a sharp turn close to the entrance/exit. For walking and crossing to the mall in particular it's a little dangerous.

The location is excellent. Close to a local brewery and museum. The waterfront path is lively for an evening or morning walk. The staff was courteous and professional. Parking was easy and free right beside the building. Our room had a fantastic view of the water and Mother Nature put on a stunning sunset. Our dog was welcome at the property. The beds were comfortable and lots of pillows were provided. The entire property was very clean.

The pet fee is the most expensive I have ever paid ($35/night).

Breakfast was a little pricey but very well done. The room/location/bed amazing! The most comfortable bed I'm had the pleasure to sleep in a hotel. The location was perfect, view great and the hotel was very clean, staff courteous and knowledgable. A great experience, would stay again!

Cleaning service didn't replace empty tissue or coffee cups but staff brought them up very quickly when called.

Right on the water, we could sit and have tea and watch the ships going in and out of the locks, and see the overall waterfront. Ate at both restaurants, really enjoyed each meal, but the indoors room was slightly better food, and much nicer ambience and service.

Problems with billing/description of costs on Booking.com website

Great location, easy access to downtown (walkable).

As far as I am concerned, Booking.com misrepresented the price of this room. The 'total cost of this booking' did not include local taxes etc, which were more than $200 additional. This is misleading advertising, and I have noted it as such - and will no doubt make mention of this to others.

The breakfast was excellent and the waiter was great. Very polite, attentive, and as we were heading for the train tour he was very prompt with timing. We appreciated it all.

We were happy with the room. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant. Staff was very helpful and polite and friendly.

We loved the location & being on the main floor the view was incredible also able to walk the boardwalk so easily was a plus.

No grab bars in the bathroom & being seniors we were very disappointed. However on request management delivered us chair to use in the tub which we managed to use. Do think though that grab bars are needed.

Location, restaurant at the hotel is really great. Love the Starbucks. Very clean. I've stayed here for years. I'm comfortable here.

The water pressure in the shower was very poor. The bathrooms could be nicer. They are getting tired looking, in need of a refresh. It's pricey.
