bHistorically nice and funky at the same time. AMAZING staff, unbelievably happy and helpful, even in moments of doubt. They are all so nice from cleaning, bistro (breakfast), rooftop and the lovely front office team, including their croissant & coffee recommendation. Smiley and a delight to interact with, such lovely people. Food is good but exceptional in the roof top. I think I tried almost everything on their menu!! No complaints. Background: I stayed 6 nights..!

air-con does need attention… but they are responsive to everything. internet is fine but annoying (conflict of interest as I work in this industry) to repeatedly login everyday if you have more than one device.

Staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. I asked for conditioner and towels and they were both sent promptly. There are tons of amazing restaurants in walking distance. All of the fixtures and accessories in the rooms were cute (chair matched the wallpaper!); the building has a lot of history and that is made apparent which is very cool. Bathroom was clean and modern, awesome shower head

Very limited parking on site, and parking across the street cost an arm and a leg. No kitchenette in the room, no USB plug-ins (only standard prong plugs)

It is a little pricey but I guess that's how Toronto is. I do wish they had more parking because during our 3 day stay we were never able to find a spot in their lot and just paid to park across the street, which was inexpensive but still an added cost.

Everything about the hotel was great. We had a little mishap with the AC not working properly the first night but the staff immediately brought us fans when they were unable to resolve the issue that night. The next day everything had been fixed and our room was nice and cool.

The hotel was recommended by ChatGPT (true) when I prompted it to suggest boutique hotels in a bohemian neighbourhood of Toronto. And that’s The Broadview. Very good experience overall; very kind staff; many cool food and drink options in the area; comfortable bedding and nice touches to the room.

On the down side, the room was a bit tight for 4, and the construction materials looked a bit cheap, such as the flooring of the room for instance. The rooftop restaurant has a great vibe but the food is not exactly on par with the view and the prices. Can do a tad better there.

Loved seeing the hotel in its current state, dog friendly and dog park next door is a plus. The balcony was lovely and private. Furnishings and fixtures were thoughtful and nice quality. Evening staff was very nice, informative and check in was a breeze, and both day and night were helpful. The Pet Policy wording still has me giggling - fits the comfortable feel of the hotel, the record player and record room, sparkling and filtered water dispensers, the old aspects of the hotel preserved nicely and in a fun way, lovely tiling throughout made it a really good stay for me and my child and dogs.

Being asked what room I was in on my way in from my morning walk. Was stopped because when they noticed me and my dogs they didn't see a housekeeping note. It's not my position when trying to get a break/rest/start a fun week with my child for March Break, to assist with your system and why you need to verify my room#. Hard when you are someone who is Oversurveilled and racialized and alone and deal with specific traumas. I'm born and raised downtown but somehow need to be monitored everywhere. We stay at hotels and cabins often for work and fun so would be nice to be comfortable and not questioned. It's embarrassing and exhausting

super comfortable beds, nice decor, and close proximity to bars and restaurants! friendly front desk reception staff

the room is not quiet, the doors allow for all noise from the hallway to come in. I may have been unlucky with the floor plan because there were many adjacent doors to my room so I could easily hear doors slamming. Every night I was woken up by talking in the hallway… One day my room was not cleaned which was disappointing for the price of the stay. Having said that it is a wonderful hotel and would stay again!

The hotel is very charming and in a convenient location close to many shops and restaurants on Queen St. There's a city parking lot right across from the hotel.

We were surprised to see the room windows were completely inaccessible... starting from 6.5ft/2m from the floor up to the ceiling. None of us was over 6.5ft tall so we couldn't see out from the windows and the room was always dark. We were only there for 2 nights and barely in the room so we didn't mind it as much, but I wouldn't stay there for a longer stay. We were on the 3rd floor, not sure if all other floors/rooms are the same.

Cool and stylish hotel close to the city. With public transportation directly in front of the hotel it just takes you 5-10 min to downtown. As it is an old house totally renovated it has a lot of atmosphere. What I found surprising: although it is directly at a busy street you did not notice the Traffic, windows were top. I asked for a room on the higher floor and they took care and arranged for it.

A wedding was going on that day and hotel could have prepared better to avoid the chaos at the check in. It is a pitty if the arrival / first impression is stress / hectic people. I could not open the window what I do not like

Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and very stylish decor. Bathrooms were clean and shower also nice. We had a cool little balcony as well. Restaurants were also very nice and the food was god quality. We also really liked the neighbourhood. Friendly and competent staff - check in and out were seamless. We would stay here again.

Our record player wasn't working, but no big deal.

Good size standard rooms. Extremely comfortable bed. Nicely appointed. Very nice bathroom with very good shower. French press coffee maker, still & sparkling water stations Very good security-must have card key to work elevator. Convenient off site parking nearby. Public transportation bus and trolley stop on the corner.. Although we didn't use it the rooftop bar and restaurant looked very inviting. Staff was extra friendly and helpful (particularly Martine).

I was very pleased to see the French press coffee maker in room but the free coffee provided was terrible. They need to offer another blend.
