This hotel is in a great location, lots of food and stores nearby, very clean, wonderful facilities, very professional and accommodating. The overall experience was very pleasant, and I would recommend this hotel.

The only downside would be the Wi-Fi. It was absolutely horrible in my room. I was on the 25th floor corner room and Netflix wouldn't load; messages were delayed, and calls were dropping. I had to go to the ground floor for better connection. Please ensure each room has solid connection. It was a big roadblock.

I didn’t have the breakfast. Staff were kind, prompt and knowledgeable. Room was very clean. Price was reasonable. Location was great. Gym, sauna, jacuzzi was an extra bonus. Will be staying again.

The one complaint I have is the swimming arrangements. When having children you don’t want to be swimming separate from them..my daughter and her friend were age 13, we were super excited about the pool until we found out adults had to swim at a different floor and kids were in a lower level. Because of the age, they (we) did not want to swim with 20 younger kids. We wanted to relax in the jacuzzi and sauna together for a back to school family vacation. When I got to the top level ready to enjoy the amenities, both swimming pool and jacuzzi were broken. Very disappointing.

My stay at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto was absolutely delightful. As a straightforward, no-frills 4-star hotel, it provided everything I needed for a comfortable and convenient visit. The hotel's massive size and more than adequate accommodations exceeded my expectations. Its prime downtown location was a game-changer, especially because I was in town for TIFF. The proximity to festival venues made it stress-free to walk back and forth, and the nearby TTC access offered even more flexibility. Overall, the Chelsea Hotel struck the perfect balance of quality and convenience, making my Toronto experience truly memorable.

The doors for Elm Street, Yonge Street and Bay street close at 10pm which is somewhat of a shame, but it's only a nitpick. Often times, I'd come back to the hotel at midnight and it's faster for me to enter through the Yonge Street entrance, so it would have been great if it stayed open longer instead of having to walk around the block to enter from Gerrard Street.

All of the staff was incredibly helpful and competent. Turn over service was quick and efficient. The king sized bed was luxurious and lovely. The view from our room was mostly construction, but that's Toronto for you. The dresser drawers and closet were really helpful storage for us to make it feel like home and less like we were living out of our suitcases. The programmable thermostat made an extremely sweaty trip much more bearable. We loved our stay here!

The free guest WiFi was very poor quality. It didn't work in certain areas of our room. I was a bit surprised they still were using older TVs and basic cable access channels instead of streaming services. This wasn't too difficult to work around, but just a little surprising. Hotel food was a bit lacking, but it mostly just suffers in comparison to the insanely good food in the surrounding restaurants in the area.

The food was amazing, the location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful, and I love that the balconys are accessible. (I'm sure that won't last, you know because of "safety")

Price! I also didn't have any meaningful conversations or helpful moments of any kind whatsoever from any staff I interacted with. Honestly every single interaction was negative, which really when you think about it is not OK. to their defense, the place is an absolute zoo, all day, every day. Hotel check-in should be much easier and faster than the total Kaos I witnessed for 4 days straight.

Front desk staff/ concierge always very helpful. Great location; can walk to a lot of things. We stayed for 3 nights in June, at the end of our Canada road trip. Toronto is a big place, and lots of construction going on, so getting around by car or bus was tricky at times. Some great attractions (e.g. ROM & Casa Loma), and plenty of shopping & restaurants. PS - Lovely slice of pizza as a late night snack!

This was our most expensive hotel in Canada. I'd struggle to say it was good value: but would consider staying here again because of the excellent staff and location. Room was ok; a little bit dark. WiFi was variable.

The lobby looks clean. Although it was a bit crowded when we stayed there as it was a long weekend. The room that we were assigned to is nice and clean. The bathroom is spacious.

Didn’t like how the lock of the room seems to be loose like the lock was recently changed but they did not modify the door frame to fit the locks exactly. We didn’t 100% feel safe because of that. I hope they would consider changing or modifying the door frame! Showers: during busy hours (in the morning) the water pressure is low! (We stayed at floor 21) I would say, we have a pleasant stay the price that we paid, is a bit expensive for the experience! But I would still recommend it.

The hotel location is very good, near DUNDAS Square. Even Union Station it is in a walkable distance (maybe 15/20 min) ), shops and a shopping mall are also in the surrounding areas of Dundas Square, the sightseeing buses depart from DS. There are lots of restaurant choices around too, a TIM HORTONS nearby for a reasonable breakfast in the morning(their coffee and hot chocolate are great). The reception and concierge staff are friendly and very helpful, the ladies that take care of cleaning the rooms are the friendliest I have ever met (polite, smiling and just ready to help, especially the ones on my floor). There is a kitchenette in the room which can be very handy.

Carpet is a little old and needs updating

The location was perfect. Yonge street had restaurants and activity all the time. The Dundas station is very close and easy to walk to and from public transportation. The hotel is large and has a lot of rooms but the service was personalized and we never felt rushed or had to wait for service. All staff were professional, helpful and kind.

The restaurant onsite was nice but the continental breakfast and full breakfast were expensive given we are light breakfast eaters. There weren't a lot of ala carte options so we ended up eating a lighter breakfast elsewhere.

The property far exceeded my expectations as it relates to amenities and services. I was in a group of 7 (3 adults/ 4 children) Upon arrival all 4 kids went to the kids check-in desk and received a small toy (wow!). Then after some sightseeing and dinner we brought the kids to the pool and family centre. All 4 kids are excellent swimmers and massively enjoyed the pool, the super fast corkscrew water slide as well as the play room with actual live bunnies. I honestly had no idea these amenities were at the property so it was a real wow for me. On the second day where again we brought the kids down for pool / slide time we spent the day at st Lawrence market and travelled to centre island. We walked every where. The hotel was decently close to our planned activities. Once returning to hotel for a rest before the evening Jays game; we were greeted by hotel staff with cold lemonade and small snack size bags of freshly popped popcorn. Again, it was a wow for us! Congratulations to the team at the Chelsea Hotel and to management for delivering such a great experience.

The ONLY thing that wasn’t amazing was the room. It was fine but gas not been updated and quite dated. The bathroom is very small. It also wasn’t 100% spotless. I also found the room damp.
