Breakfast was very good.

We had a very bad experience with some of the waiters while we at the breakfast room. They were very greedy and wanted to be given tips. They were very kind at the beginning and afterwards when we didn't tipped them they became very arrogant and did not give us the usually service like asking us if we wanted tea or coffee. We have been experience that attitude almost 5 days by some of the waiters Another day a lady was serving the guests around us but she never came to our table. It like she been avoiding us. That's not the way to treat guests. I don't think we will stay in future at SAN FERNANDO HOTEL more.

The staff was incredibly helpful with all our needs, our room was entirely up to the highest standards and our breakfast was a delicious delight every day. We liked every minute of our stay at San Fernando Plaza Hotel. Compared with other potential hotels, we wouldn’t do anything differently the next time we’re in Medellin. Also the surroundings were great with many malls, massage parlours, restaurants and markets around. Thank you for this unforgettable experience.

The sound isolation towards the neighbouring rooms as well as towards the gangway could be slightly better.

Breakfast was really good, with lots of options and plenty of food even until last hours of the breakfast time. Staff supported with all requested needs we asfed for knowing we have a baby. Room service and food options were really good. Pool was amazing, never crowded for the time we were there and the temperature was perfect.

It was maybe a little too expensive for the room service food and the restaurant but still it was very tasty and with lots of variety. Food to the room maybe could be a like more faster even really late it took almost an hour.

The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and accommodating. Through Google translate and limited Spanish, we were able to communicate and sort out relevant matters. I found the wait staff at the restaurant to be very kind, helpful and pleasant. There was one waiter in particular who we found and thanked before we left because of his professional service throughout our time at the hotel. In addition to the great service, the buffet breakfast in the mornings were quite excellent - a mixture of local Colombian fare and international options. We ate at Spezia, the hotel restaurant a number of times because of the great food. The location of the hotel was definitively a plus, coupled with the adjoining plaza at the same site and shopping/malls within walking distance. Taxi cabs were always parked by the hotel/plaza to get us to keys spots throughout El Poblado/Medellin at all times.

I did not find an iron or iron board in the room but the hotel staff provided these items when the request was made.

I have chosen to stay in the San Fernando Plaza Hotel on more than 10 different occasions because I like the areas and some of the service there but every time I’ve been running into problems with the dayshift front desk staff. I never got the room that I requested in advance when I arrived. It takes them an hour every single time for me to get checked in after the long flight getting there. I feel that They don't seem to value me as a guest. Knowing that I have many options in the area.

Comfortable and in good condition. Excellent breakfast and service. Excellent location also.

The uncomfortable situation of checking in late, because our flight was delayed, while seeing drunk men bringing women with then to the hotel. Paid a lot compared to other hotels in the area and felt like we were staying at a motel. It doesn’t matter how clean the hotel room can be, it feels like if you are sleeping in a motel. Thought it was more like a business/family oriented hotel, but, it’s definitely not.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. most of the staff was really kind and helpful. the pool was great!

the wifi was on and off. I had to keep reconnecting. we had arranged for a airport transfer (taxi) the day before our check out for 2am in the morning but the taxi wasn’t there and ready for us, almost as if the reservation was forgotten. luckily they were able to get the taxi 15mins later. my advice is to double check even if it was arranged the day before to ensure the taxi would be on time. also the taxi price wasn’t what the hotel said it would be. it was slightly more, not enough to complain about … but it’s the principle of it…

The bed was most comfortable in 3 months travel. Great pillows too. The pool was very nice, didn't have a chance to check out spa services. All staff members were very friendly and efficient, especially the breakfast staff!! Breakfast was good, lots of variety.

The TV kept losing the signal. Did not like the dining room server and manager who stood over me and demanded that I add 10% tip to my dinner bill. Tips are meant for good service. The waiter was more interested in watching the two soccer games on the big screens rather than ensuring that this older, single woman was treated with the same respect as a younger hottie!!! When I asked for a glass of water he poured in such a way that water was spilled on the table. Not cool.

Overall, the San Fernando Plaza Hotel is an excellent hotel in an excellent location to all that El Pablado has to offer. I would recommend this hotel. I would stay at this hotel again when visiting Medellin.

After booking my room 2 months in advance, my room was placed next to the janitorial closet and faculty where the mini bar accsessories were stored. The mornings were somewhat noisy due to my room location. Other than this small detail of room location, the hotel is excellent.

This hotel was absolutely the best I've stayed in Medellin. The hotel was overly clean (hotel staff even wash the elevator floor, bedroom floor everyday I was there). I wore white socks in my room and no dirty socks (that was my litmus test). staff was great, pool was large, food was good and it was close to other restaurants. We went to Parmessan Italian restaurant which was only 3 min walk across the street. It was good food.

It pains me to say this but the only thing I didn't like about my entire stay was the toilet seat was smaller than the toilet.... so part of your skin touches the toilet rim.
