Monte Mulini exceeded my expectations that we extended our stay. From the beautiful hotel grounds and beach, exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms to all the amazing people that work there. From the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed by portir Toni who with his professionalism and pleasant personality already made us feel so welcomed. His detailed explanation of our amenities and what we can expect from our stay was like a mini welcome tour that it made us extend another night as soon as we changed for dinner. Thank you Toni for such an amazing welcome your professionalism won't be forgotten! The twin sisters Ines & Nives kept our room spotless and impeccable which I couldn't say for many other hotels we stayed in throughout our trips. So thank you for making us feel comfortable! From all the wonderful people that work in the restaurant that made our breakfasts enjoyable to the people that work at the towel and bar services. Two other guys which we talked to the most were Damir & Aleksandar from the beach bar. They made our lounging on the beach and days very enjoyable with their professionalism and great energy. They kept our drinks coming and their professionalism at all times. Hotel Monte Mulini is truly a beautiful hotel and worth every dollar. If you expect good value and a high standard food, experience and professionalism from high end hotels you should definitely stay at Hotel Monte Mulini. I will recommend and will definitely come back again. Thank you to everyone for the beautiful experience we had during our stay.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and the pool and spa facilities beautiful. Having access to the beach and complimentary loungers was lovely. We dined at the cave restaurant and were very impressed by the food and the presentation. Matija was our waiter and he made our dining experience extra special with his excellent knowledge of the food, wine and olive oil. We also dined in old town at some equivalent priced venues but felt the Cave Restaurant did it better, wish we had dined there twice. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and after five days we didn’t tire of it. We look forward to returning again.

My only issue was the dog hair on our carpet. It is not common practice to take dogs into hotels where we are from and I would have assumed that rooms are kept separate for quest travelling with their pets.

One of the best in the area! I loved the fact that they turned it to a couple friendly hotel. The Mulini beach is the best spot to enjoy the sea and the beautiful swimming pool is now very peaceful. The staff is professional and very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. Very good breakfast and valet parking. We had to leave one day earlier due to the upcoming extremely bad weather conditions on our route to Italy and they did not charge this one day although we left on a short notice and I have not asked for a discount. So professional!

I prefer the old umbrellas that could lean against the sun. So you don’t have to move those heavy sun beds in order to be in the shade. Additionally, some sun bed mattresses need to be changed. They are worn up.

1. LOVED the location! The property has beach access, and the views are spectacular. 2. The staff were mostly helpful, if occasionally a little hectic and somewhat unprepared. For example: we needed to leave early; our car took a while, and the front desk clerk was not able to either bring the car to the front (as he is not permitted to do it) OR help us load our luggage. Granted, it was early, but we would expect not to have this issue in a hotel of this caliber) 3. Breakfast was WONDERFUL. Want to particularly compliment Sasha who was SO on top of things despite having to wait on numerous tables. 4. LOVED the bathroom - excellent shower and plenty of storage space.

Staff were wonderful. Staff at the pool bar not so friendly! Hotel Restaurants only provide fine-dining, it would be an advantage to offer an alternative, although it is easy to go into the old town to eat. Just sometimes within a 2 week vacation, you just want to stay within the hotel after a full day poolside! Carpets in the rooms feels quite old-fashioned. Rooms generally need an update, although clean and large. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. But it seems this will not be addressed as so many reviews have mentioned this and nothing has changed. WI-FI is challenging and very frustrating. Breakfast is fantastic, and only a short waiting time to find outside seating. Service at breakfast extremely professional and friendly. Please note, parking is a disaster at peak holiday times, not enough availability. Towels, sunbeds and views are all good. Cleanliness of hotel is very good. MONTE MULINI is 5-Star , but could do better. Little details like tea/coffee facilities and a little shop on the premises with newspaper etc. would put the luxury into the experience. It is our second visit to this hotel, which was a good relaxing vacation. We will consider returning in a few years time, if and when the small details are addressed. All-in-all a good hotel , in a great location, great views and close to the old town. Book early for a good price. Executive room ok, Deluxe better views on higher floors. Spa massage fantastic…. recommended.

A great all round experience - our 5th visit

Service at breakfast if you’re in the dining room. Service on the terrace is more focused or perhaps the only morning we breakfasted in the dining room and not the terrace was exceptionally busy - either way service that morning should have been much better Biggest dislike which might put us off from ever returning is Maistra’s 16+ age policy from 2023 at the MM. We were going to take the family and grandchildren to the Monte Mulini again next year as we have done previously - but not possible now. Time with the family more important than anything else relating any hotel policy no matter how good the hotel is - very, very disappointing since there will be many families being unable to return for a good while Somewhere else will now get our business.

We really appreciated the friendly and efficient staff, loved the leisurely breakfast hours (07:00 - 12:00) and comprehensive breakfast menu, and we made the most of the quiet and relaxing sauna area. The evening meals also did not disappoint. The walk into town is pleasant, easy and worthwhile for the range of independent shops and restaurants. We wanted a relaxing, stress-free break and Monte Mulini delivered on every count. We will definitely be returning.

I really can't think of anything I didn't like.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The location of the hotel was perfect: the beach was just a few steps from the hotel, and the city center of Rovinj was only a 20-minute walk away. We also loved the view from our room, the pool area and the restaurant. Plus, the breakfast was delicious.

The closet was a bit small for two people for a stay of more than a week.

Mario the Concierge was excellent and to be congratulated on his handling of my complaint about there being no air conditioning. His reaction was speedy and positive.

The service although good was not quite as seamless as last year. No air conditioning for the first three nights was a major issue. I did not like as i am sure the member of staff did not also when his knee gave way and my wife and I wish him well, it did not look or sound good.

This was my third time at the Monte Mulini. Everything runs very smoothly. The staff are all charming and helpful. As someone who enjoys swimming, I particularly like the pool, and there is the option to use the larger pool at the Hotel Lone next door. Although the hotel was pretty full, nowhere felt crowded - it was always possible to get sun loungers or tables on the terrace at breakfast.

The meals in the the two main restaurants (Medierraneo and Wine Cellar) are over-priced and not particularly good (this comment does not apply to the pool bar). That's why hardly anyone eats in them in the evening -- walk a mile into the town and you'll find over 200 restaurants, most of which are much less expensive.
