The location was great and Claudia was very helpful. Located 5 min walk from the ferry to/from Venice, Italy. The room was very nice but we had to go up 25 stairs to get there. You have to be physically fit to do that a couple of times a day. One thing very important is to travel with a carry-on and backpack. In Croatia if you book a place in the old town there are no car access so you have to carry your suitcases. The streets are cobblestoned and it's hard to pull a big suitcase. Better be warned than sorry 😉

They don't offer breakfast at Porta Antica but there was a nice place close by opening at 8am and offering a very nice breakfast at 19€ per person. There was also a very nice bakery nearby opening at 7am serving coffee.

Claudia the host. Stays on contact with you the entire time. From where to meet if you need parking, the keys for check in and driving you back to your car with your luggage at the end of your stay. We wanted to stay forever. Great view of the marina, you're right on the promenade. Great comfort, great restaurants, beautiful places to walk for leisurely exercise in morning, afternoon, or after dinner.

Nothing, everything was lovely

Even better than I hoped it would be. Room was full of character and with all I required, including coffee making facilities and a little fridge. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well. There are four windows giving a lovely view of the harbour. At night with the windows closed perfect silence and air conditioning that worked well whilst also being very quiet. I just loved this room and would definitely return.

A beautiful apartment in a very old building, in the old town, above a lovely restaurant in a busy harbour with stunning sea views. The ladies running it were so helpful and friendly and transported our luggage for us when we rang to say we’d arrived. It was clean, spacious, beautifully furnished with a well equipped small kitchen if you needed to cook. Sofa bed was handy in the living room. Balcony overlooking the harbour with table and chairs. Great place to sit and watch the world go by! Right at the heart of the town with many restaurants on your doorstep and boat trips. Shutters on windows meant you could shut out the noise if you were wanting to sleep before the outside activity had stopped.

Nothing, it was exactly as expected.

We had a large, heavy number of luggage and both Petra abd Claudia carried our luggage to our room up several flights if stairs. They would not let me do it. They were both amazing, pleasant ladies! They made our stay extra special. The room was comfortable, charming and large. The hotel location was great! The breakfast was wonderful. They gave an overwhelming amount of food that tasted delicious.

The waterheater was small and would run out of hot water quickly. We prefer bars of soap rather than soap dispensers of body wash. We would have enjoyed a better view from the room. Being a person who enjoys coffee, only being allowed one free cup at breakfast was not good for me; however, the coffee maker in the room worked wonderfully.

Everything the location was great the apartment was fantastic the view was wonderful the fireworks for out of this world And the breakfast at the hotel was exceptional

The location was great, very clean, the staff was very friendly and helped shuttle our bags to and from the parking lot, and it was located in an historical building with a lot of old world charm (Loved the old ceiling beams in the top floor room).

The main issue are the stairs...if you have heavy bags or are not good at navigating somewhat narrow stair cases or are just getting up there in years, make sure you get on the lower floor (s). We were on the top floor, and thought it was a challenge with our bags.

The location was superb- We had the top floor apartment, while the windows are smaller than conventional windows they open and the view is of the sea front promenade, harbor- delightful people watching yet still very quiet at night. Our hosts were very pleasant and extremely helpful with all of our questions and provided exceptional service in aiding of the parking our vehicle- Since all of old town is car free- they made our car parking challenges evaporate with their insight and compassion.

I do not have a criticism.

The welcome to the hotel was lovely helping us to our room. Amazing Our attic room was charming, with exposed beams and roof, great siting area overlooking the harbour and little kitchen. Location could not have been better!!! Beds and pillows were really comfy. Help getting to and from the hotel in the golf buddy

Even better, nicer, cleaner than expected. The location is simply perfect. The view is amazing. Although I prefer modern furnitures, but the Porta Antica design was really convincing, authentic, but also modern in a way :-). The walls are very thick, so you can not hear your neighbours. The street noise in the early morning / late night might be disturbing for those who does not sleep deep or well. For us these noises were simply entertaining. To hear when the city is getting ready to the new day, the restaurants are restocking their food supply, seagulls are hunting..... amazing noises!! And the city is vibrant till late night, hundreds of tourists are walking, dancing, eating, laughing right under your terrace/window. I really loved it!!! The 2 hosts - Claudia and Petra - are super, super nice, helpful, best host I have ever experienced during my travellings (I travel a lot!!) They always had some nice words in the morning, they were always ready to help their guests.... Can't imagine better host than they! I have already booked my next visit in the same apartment in Porta Antica :-)

I loved everything about apartment. There might be a microwave in the kitchen, but I could survive without that :-) There is only one thing to mention which needs improvement. The breakfast in the Adriatic Hotel. Inspite of the high price of the breakfast, the selection is really boring. A la carte with the worst waiters I have experienced. They are almost all rude, no smile, do not pay attention on their guests. I was complaining at the restaurant manager every other day. Or I got total different food I have ordered, or the food was completely cold, or the waiter simple forgot about us ... every day some annoyng behaviour. A 4star hotel can not allow this service.
