Antik Hotel Prague

Beautiful room in annex, not main hotel. Located in an old building that has maintained many original features. Comfortable, firm bed. Large, tastefully decorated room. Fridge & safe. Coffee machine. Bathroom with large shower. Hair/body wash supplied as well as hair conditioner. The only hotel that I have stayed in that provides a diffuser with the hair dryer (much appreciated). Luggage store available before & after check in/out. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of fresh fruit/salad, meats, cheeses, baked goods & some hot selections.

The hotel was difficult to identify as it was a single door in a row of shops/cafes. The only identifying feature was the word hotel in the glass panel over the door. There was a coffee machine in the room, but not the option to make tea which was disappointing. The lady at reception was a brusk & dismissive at check in.

What a great experience! The location was great—right next to the city center and concert venues. The room was even bigger than we had expected—neat and clean, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice, clean and spacious enough. But the one thing I have to highlight was the breakfast—amazing presentation, fresh and varied. Thumbs up! The staff was also very nice—they had even let us keep our stuff there for a few hours after we checked out, which we really appreciated.

The room could've used a little pre-heating—it was a little cold when we came in. Also, having a kettle and complimentary coffee wouldn't have hurt either, but it wasn't a big deal.

The hotel is close to the Dlouhá třída tram station if you’re arriving at the Hlavní nádraží train station, it’s easy to take a tram from there. The location is perfect. Several minutes away from the main square with the Astronomical Clock. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants, drug stores, small stores nearby. The hotel looks quite antique (no pun intended) but it is actually very comfortable. We lived on the 4th floor. Fortunately there was an elevator. The room was very clean, the bathroom was spacious. There was a good AC in the room. There was no kettle in a room, but the was a coffee machine and variety of tea in the breakfast room for a free use any time of the day. We didn’t try the breakfast, because we wanted to wake up late, but it was quite cheap - just 8€.

i personally didn’t like the big pillow. felt uncomfortable to sleep on it. but there was an extra one in the closet, so didn’t matter much.

The hotel's location is excellent. It is a few minutes' walk away from the major sights in the old town area. Breakfast is ample. The beds are the most comfortable we've ever slept in at a hotel.

The room was super clean. It had an excellent location and the staff was lovely. It was also a pretty cute building, the beds were comfy, nice bathroom, plus the coffee and fridge was a nice touch. The front desk is manned 24 hrs.

The room was a little bare. There was one corner that just had...nothing in it, and it looked kind of weird. Like a nice armchair or something would be good in that corner, it sort of looked like they just gave up on decorating it.

Since I'm from the UAE, I really appreciate a bathroom with a hand-held bidet which Antik had. The towel dryer/heater was also a plus. Our room was well-designed and there was a decent breakfast as well. Central location – can access the main square by foot!

Accessing the room was very different compared to some other hotels. Check in was in a different building to where our room was located. And it looked like the hotel was converted from apartment homes. However it was beautifully laid out and in Old Town so no complaints!

Annoyingly you have to ring the bell to get in late at night, and one night it took the shaven-headed night concierge 20 minutes to answer the door. Not good when there are dozens of drunks, prostitutes and drug dealers hassling you. I expressed my annoyance and instead of apologising he simply remained sullen and silent and indeed every other time I saw him..

Location is perfect and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The reception is open 24 hours and the room and facilities are well maintained. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. The hotel is quiet and it's very comfortable to do sightseeing and be able to come back to the hotel at anytime.

There is nothing we disliked but if we have to note something, it would be that there is no elevator, which is understandable because the hotel it is an historic building. Also our room faced the street and there was a little noise at night from bar-goers and our shower could have used a shower caddy to hold things.

Despite the obvious age and history of the building the hotel is very clean, well-maintained and stylishly decorated. Above all else, the location is amazing, being only moments away from some great bars and Old Town attractions, whilst the double windows ensure a quiet night sleep, keeping out the buzz of street noise.

Excellent location and neighborhood; close to many attractions and restaurants by foot. Clean and quiet room, recently refurbished. Good breakfast and very nice breakfast room. Baggage storage available.

Our room was not in the main building and we had to use umbrellas to go have breakfast. Street parking only; it might be hard to find a spot in the vicinity of the hotel. The parking is public and the fee is paid at the reception. Make sure with the receptionist that your parking is not cut at check-out, in case you want to stay a little longer!
