Metropolitan Old Town Hotel - Czech Leading Hotels

I have to say that this was an awesome experience. The room was big, clean and the housekeeping service was very good. The staff was really kind and helped us with everything, from the beginning until the end of our stay. At check-in, they offered us 2 beers, on the house. Another nice thing was that, when we entered the room, we found a bottle of wine, again, on the house! Not to mention that almost everyday we received small gifts, like cupcakes or cookies. During an evening, we were asked if we want a glass of mulled wine, again, on the house! At check-out, the 2 girls from the staff were very kind and helped me with printing the boarding passes. As for the breakfast, nobody can wish more than that! Very tasty, with a large variety of food, home made desserts (very delicious!), juice, water, coffee etc. I think that this is the best example of how a hotel should be! I can't know if I will ever come back to Prague, but if I do, I will definitely choose again this hotel!

Great location with a very friendly staff. The breakfast was very well done with lots of variety! Rooms were clean and spacious.

Recommend not to stay on the first or second floor, our room was 101 and the hotel has a squash court inside and they started playing 1 morning at 0700! They normally stopped playing by 2200 hours but if you wanted to go to bed earlier or sleep late the sound of the pounding squash balls reverberated throughout our room at least and was very annoying!

Breakfast was Excellent. They had an excellent spread of all types of continental breakfast items, even a chocolate fountain. Option for various types of breads, bagels, baguettes were available. There was porridge. Rooms were nice and clean. The rooms did not have AC as it is a vintage hotel. But every room has a portable fan. Location is excellent - centrally located. The main square and Astronomical Clock is just 5 - 6 minutes walk from the hotel. Lots of eateries around the place. Vlatava river bank is around 3 minutes walk. Very good location

Only thing I did not like is there was no AC. In the summer months it gets hot in Prague. But Fan was provided.

First and foremost, the staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English, and were very helpful! The hotel is situated well in the city, and you can easily get to anywhere. The bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was great. The checkout time is very fair. I would recommend this hotel! Just make sure to properly look on Maps where the Hotel is exactly located. Google Maps wasn't quite accurate at navigating to the hotel for some reason, so I had to circle several times.

The parking was the oddest parking I've ever seen, and it was like a Pigeon hangout place. My car looked like an Art project after I checked out. Not to be dramatic, but the elevator was one of the slowest I've seen in my life.

we absolutely loved the rooftop bar area. Perfect place to take in the gorgeous sunsets over the beautiful medieval city of Prague. Daniel was very helpful showing how everything went and checking out into the hotel. Veronika was extremely pleasant and efficient. Great experience. Parking wad easy and free. The location is very close to all the sites you want to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Prague

it was unseasonably hot in the room, was a little bit warm in the evening. They did supply you with the fan and the windows opened pretty wide

The hotel staff was amazing, friendly and helpful each time we encountered them. The hotel is amazingly close to the main Prague points, like the city square or Charles bridge. The breakfasts were the same each day, but rich and tasty, with high quality products. Even though there's no parking place guaranteed, it's possible to park on the streets and the staff will make it free for you. They have their own bar, so it's your safe place in the evening to have a reasonably priced beer. We were welcomed with a free prosecco voucher and we used it in a rooftop bar, having a lovely view over the city.

We really lacked an air conditioning unit - it was really hot and humid during our stay, making it difficult to have a proper sleep. The lift is unbearably slow, it was much faster to get to the TV tower's viewpoint, than to the 2nd floor of the hotel.

Great location very close to the Old town Square. The breakfast was excellent and with a very good variety. Veronica and George at reception were excellent and very helpful. Veronica also made great recommendations about restaurants and general information that was useful to us as tourists. The hotel has a great rooftop terrace for afternoon drinks and Veronica even arranged for us to visit another property in the group which has an even better rooftop terrace. Thanks, you were a star.

Everything was so good! First of all the hotel is in such a great place - you can reach city center in five minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly - we found a hotel manager compliment in our room with handwritten note, when it was our time to check out receptionist offered us to extend our parking for free! And last but not least they gave us two bottles of water for our trip. I’ve been in a lot of great hotels but I can honestly say that the best customer service was here in Metropolitan old town hotel. Next time in Prague we will definitely choose this hotel.

Location, close to EVERYTHING. The friendliest, approachable staff I've ever encountered. I travel with a folding wheelchair and the staff insisted on carrying it the 5 steps to the lift. Even the female staff would rush over to assist me. Honestly I felt guilty because the wheelchair weighs approx 22kg! The manager is very professional, approachable, pleasant as all staff. The maids greet all guests with smiles and pleasantries. Tea, coffee, kettle, wine! Fridge. I would definitely stay here again.

The wifi bit patchy but overall ok. The shower temperature was not consistent, no smart tv. But maybe it was just my room.

On arrival (which was late) the staff were superb, the hotel rooms were spacious and very clean, I chatted with the manager the next day he was very polite and gave us nice tips f9r around the city, breakfast was amazing so many different choices, Bar the staff here was so nice and couldn't do anything more , they are such nice staff constantly coming outside making sure we were OK and if they could get us more drinks. We stayed in room 219 and there was so much space and always cleaned every day. The location was perfect it wasn't too close to the bars but was close enough for all the night and day life from the old town and square and only a small walk to the new town and cathedral (they do like their steps thought 😀) but this definitely didn't put us off.
