The Black Swan Lee - Lenox, Ascend Hotel Collection

The view was nice, the room very comfortable with a small seating area to watch TV, ( we were there Superbowl weekend ), or just look out at the lake. The restaurant was nice, the food was excellent, and service great.

We upgraded to a room for people with mobility issues as my husband has two bad knees and severe arthritis and they named a flat fee for the upgrade, but didn't mention that this fee would be for both nights, so when I went to check out, I owed another 27 dollars, so the upgrade wasn't 27, it was 54 dollars. I just wish they would have given me the total price instead of the price for one night. Also, the room we were in is supposed to be wheelchair accessible and most of the room was, but if anyone is in there with a wheelchair they're going to have a very hard time going out onto the porch because of the large lip for the door track and the fairly large step down. There should be a ramp at least for them to go down. My husband even had a hard time and he's not in a wheelchair.

The hotel was lakefront and the view was nice. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Great for a night stay. Variety of coffee /tea options available until 10pm, which was great. Hot water/ shower had sufficient water flow.

For people who mistakenly assume that you can walk around the lake, there is a residential house right next to the hotel, so you only have limited access to the lake, mostly right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was mediocre. Musty smell in the hallways.

This is my fourth stay at the property. The location is perfect for exploring the Berkshires. The lakefront rooms are wonderful and well-appointed. Staff is very helpful and efficient. Breakfast is a very nice continental with great coffee! Great value any time of the year. Excellent restaurant onsite with Indian cuisine.

We love it here! Calm, peaceful, beautiful! We love that Mint is in-house and we can go get food and drinks, then just walk back to the room and enjoy a comfortable evening with a beautiful view of the lake, rain or shine.

The only issue was the shower wasn’t draining great at first. That was the only issue we had, but it seemed to fix itself after a couple of showers. Not sure what it was!

Great location. Loved having the balcony overlooking the lake - it was sp peaceful and relaxing. The staff could not have been nicer. They let us check in early which made our trip much less stressful as we were traveling with our dogs.we will definitely be back.

The room needs a deep clean. There were cobwebs in the corners and dead bugs/flies. It would be great if they got rid of the carpets in the rooms as they are a bit dated.

Clean, airy breakfast room with good selection. Bedroom layout extremely comfortable--nice amenities-comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Great Location just outside of town.

Older decor BUT is in good condition/clean so a very good value for the price.

Hotel room was gorgeous and clean. Front desk staff is courteous and provided for whatever we needed, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping the rooms tidy. When they made my kid's bed, they positioned his stuffed animals neatly and with care in the center of his bed, kind of tucked in (see pic). I really appreciate little human touches like that. Check in/out was a breeze. Wi-fi is free. Pretty good value considering the property is right on a lake and super accessible from the Mass Pike and a lot of highways. It was easy to get pretty much anywhere we wanted to go in the Berkshires. Breakfast is pretty good. On-site Indian restaurant is excellent. There's a workout room and a laundry room, neither of which we used during our stay, but they are available for those who need them.

I wish they had better toilet paper in the rooms but I understand that gets expensive when you buy in bulk for a whole hotel. Cell phone reception is pretty poor throughout the property (not the hotel's fault, but it did make life difficult).

Very comfortable room with a porch with a view of the lake. Bathroom was fairly recently renovated and provided a good shower. Comfortable bed and sofa and mini fridge was helpful. Mint Restaurant for dinner was WONDERFUL. Kayaks easy to reserve and use.

The breakfast was fairly minimal, maybe because of COVID. Also rooms were not being cleaned because of COVID, and we didn't know this in advance, but maybe we missed the notification of this. The hotel was more than willing to provide extra towels or other needs, like trash bags.

Loved the lake out back, really wished we stayed longer than one night, you could rent a kayak or there pontoon boat and take it around the lake, it was very peaceful and quiet, we noticed to late that there is a shopping outlet right down the road about 8 mons. There hotel restaurant was closed on Monday but we had help from the staff threw a text messaging system, which was very handy, to help us find a local food location that delivered. We ended up ordering online right from our room from the 51 Park and Restaurant tavern which was about 1.5 miles down the road and the food was great. Loved how it was delivered right to our hotel door. The room was super clean, great pressure in the shower. Really nothing bad about this place loved it would definitely recommend 10 out of 10!

WE come here a couple of times a year. Its always consistent to our expectations: Wonderful! Clean, Breakfast good, Food at MINT Exceptional. WE love it here because we always can depend on top quality!. WE love it here, we love the walks ,the Bird watching and the peace and tranquility it gives us!
