We were visiting family and friends all over Scotland so liked the location as it was very central for us. The breakfast included was amazing which meant I could feed my toddler before heading out. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. I was able to pack a few extra bits to eat for my toddler if he didn't have a good breakfast which was really handy. On one occasion I had to put my toddler's car seat in the luggage room for a few hours and the staff were extremely helpful when it came to arranging that for me. The beds were super comfortable. We had a travel cot in our room but our bed was so big that we let our toddler sleep with us and honestly didn't even feel he was there! Over all it was a great wee place to stay and we felt very welcomed. Will definitely be back again.

The only things we didn't like about the room was the lack of plugs around the room to charge phones etc. There was a usb port in the middle of the headboard but that was no use to us as our toddler was sleeping in the middle so we couldn't even use it. And also the lack of lighting, it was quite dull in the evenings.

Lovely new hotel next to retail park. Asda etc Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was ok. We were able to dine off the reception area with the dog which is greatly appreciated when travelling with a pet. There was a reasonable selection for food. For a ‘free’ breakfast it was fine and the porridge pots were good. Check out was easy and the location of the hotel is perfect for onward travel The hotel was clean and the carpets were in good condition

The area the buffet is in very small room and was very, very busy and cramped. Family room sleeps four but this is across a small double and a very small double sofa bed. There is no third camp bed facility. Having two teenagers a boy and a girl they were less than impressed with their sleeping arrangements. Had I realised this would be the case I would have booked two rooms. The hotel was fully booked so this wasn’t possible to change on arrival. In the end the hotel provided extra bedding and we bought a camp bed from Asda.

We've stayed here several times before when visiting family and friends in the area. You know what to expect from Holiday Inn - comfortable and clean. I've always been impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Team member prepped us a meal (nowhere else to eat in Hamilton that time of night) - very nice it was too.

Slight hitch around breakfast as a large coach party with appetites to match had temporarily cleaned out breakfast just before we came down in the morning. Quickly re-filled by staff, but another time, I'll know to check. More seriously, another guest put a croissant in the toaster which went on fire. Staff member went to get help from kitchen and it was extinguished. Would strongly suggest ALL staff are trained to deal with this incident; that a clear, pictorial sign is put up to reduce chances of a re-occurrence and that a way is found to safely provide warm croissants or that they're not provided at all.

The breakfast was good it had a variety of options. Rooms were kept neat and tidy and was very presentable when we entered for the first time. House keeping staff were really nice and were able to provide what we needed quickly e.g towels, tolliet rolls, coffee, tea and sugar.

There were a few things we didn't like about the hotel. In the rooms the lighting in the rooms were decent but it wasn't bright enough and would occaisonally flicker. In the morning when we had breakfast sometimes a specific food would run out and we would have to wait a while for it to restock. Back to the rooms the toliet flush buttons were quite stiff and wouldnt flush that well if wasn't pressed hard enough. Overall I would recomend this place to family and friends.

I stayed here for one night as a stop over during a long journey. I was staying with my husband and our son. I had requested if possible a room in a quieter part, away from the lift etc. The room was quiet which was great. The hotel was lovely, the room was a good size, it was clean and all the amenities which were advertised were provided. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good, there was a good selection of choices of hot and cold breakfast options. There was great parking, would be helpful to have the details of parking noted in the confirmation of booking. When we arrived it wasn't obvious to use the larger retail park and initially we were in the Keith Street car park. It wasn't a problem to move to the larger car park but it would be useful to know to head there and parking is covered by the hotel.

The room wasn't that well lit, even with all the lights on it was quite a dark room. It was fine for one night though. The sofa bed wasn't that comfortable, again suitable for one night though.

Staff were not attentive, we were left standing at reception with two young children at 10pm being ignored before being checked in. one staff member walked past us into the office on his own personal phone and didn't speak to us or check us in. booked a family room but the sofa bed was not made up so we had to make this up late at night before putting the children to bed. it was also extremely expensive for one night stay.

We will definitely be back. it’s next to a cinema and close to M&D’s/Amazonia and The Time Capsule. my son had a great birthday weekend and this hotel was the cherry on top of the cake. Friendly staff, good food, comfortable, relaxing and fairly quiet/not many guests.

When we arrived, we requested a double bed and a single/sofa bed/pull out bed but when we got to our room it wasn’t made up/ready, it was just a sofa with no bedding. One quick call to reception and we were given another room with a made-up bed, the staff couldn’t be more helpful, these things happen 😊

The parking was easy to access and only a short walk away from the Hotel entrance . The staff were amazing. very welcoming and informative and couldn’t do enough to help us . The hotel itself was clean and immaculate . Our family room was pleasant and was spacious and had everything we needed . The sofa bed was all made up for us arriving and our 2 girls had 2 nights of amazing sleep on it . The breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choice and the hot food was constantly being topped up with fresh food. The bar area was warm and cosy and has such a chilled atmosphere. Eithne should be getting a pay rise. she was fantastic and is a credit to the company . She was so hands on and very patient with the younger staff members . She was always checking things around the bar and reception areas making sure they were clean and that guests were happy and had everything they needed . She was so welcoming and was so lovely with our girls and even gave our girls a packet of sweets from behind the bar as it was our youngest girls birthday while we was staying there . Highly recommend this fantastic hotel . we will deffo be back soon. From the cleaning staff to the Reception staff they all need to be commended for such a well run hotel .

Hotel was nice. Beds comfy. Stayed in holiday inns before and they are always comfortable to stay in and this was the same here. Check in staff were lovely. I stayed with my 2 dogs and they were greeted as if they were any other guest which was lovely.

Minor downfall and not sure if it's because it was a pet room but carpet marked and stained and bits of fluff etc on floor. With the clean promise that's written and signed in the room stating its 100% cleaned and spotless I'm sorry but I would disagree there. Very likely just been an oversight. As I said minor thing and wouldn't stop me staying again.

Staff were all amazing and friendly. Could not be any more accommodating. Beds very comfy. Had great sleeps. Breakfast was perfect and if anything ran out it was very swiftly replaced.

Unfortunately housekeeping in the bedrooms could have been better. My husband moved the TV and it was full of dust. Under the bed and sofa bed were dirty and were were in an accessible room and the small sink felt sticky and dirty like it hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. Cleaners left a dirty cloth on top of my clothes and did not apologise when I returned it. Also bed not made well or changed for 3 night stay. That may be normal but I would have expected it to be changed even once in 4 days. Maybe not?!
