The breakfast at this hotel was excellent. Good choice and easy to serve yourself. The room was very good, with a comfortable bed, and a very good roomy shower and en-suite facilities. It was great that you could open the window in the main room too. Staff were helpful and friendly, the lifts were efficient and there was a nice atmosphere in the public areas. There were plenty of parking spaces available too which was great.

Not much to improve really, apart from maybe having some snacks such as cake, biscuits etc available to buy to have with a hot drink in the bar area. When I asked about this, we were advised that we would have to go to the nearby Morrisons supermarket if we wanted these items! Crisps are provided to have with the cold drinks, so why not some packet cake or biscuits to accompany a cup of tea or coffee?

Everything! After debating whether to stay in Cambridge itself, I was so pleased we didnt as this hotel was excellent. It is new so very clean and modern. Check in was really quick with welcoming, helpful staff. Parking was plentiful and free, the room was on the small side but comfortable, well designed and had air conditioning. Breakfast was functional, really basic but decent for toast, coffee or a bacon sandwich. There is a bus stop 2 mins away with buses every 30 mins, all the way into Cambridge for £2. Sit upstairs for a brilliant view, so stress free and really enjoyable. Thank you Holiday Inn for a great break which was good value for money. We saved over £200 vs the city centre hotels so allowed for more spending money. We chose to visit The Graduate Hotel for drinks, never in my life have I ever received such appaulling service and it was quite shabby and dirty. So there you go, you dont have to spend a fortune to get the better experience. Shame on you Graduate and Congratulations to the team at Holiday Inn.

Very comfortable, clean, spacious. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom had great shower etc. Good central location in Cambourne, close to Morrisons Supermarket and bus routes etc.. The Mmale member of staff who welcomed me at the Reception counter was very warm and friendly.

Television in my room seemed to have a very limited number of freeview tv channels. All light switches by the door, which operate both the main bedroom and bathroom, should be labelled, to show which lights they operate; this would save guests wasting any time and electricity - not good for the planet - having to unnecessarily switch on lights they did not mean to switch on. The same issue with the light switches by both the beds, which should also be labelled for the same reason. One female member of staff I came across once, not very warm or friendly, when helping with a small matter. More cycle locking spaces.

The service at Holiday Inn was exceptional. I came across this receptionist by the name Meher who's service was beyond exceptional. The moment I entered the hotel premises, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel soo comfortable. Overall Meher was very friendly, caring and had a pleasant nature. Unfortunately I could not meet Meher during my check out but I do want to thank her for the warm welcome. I had an enjoyable stay and surely the hospitality exceeded my expectations. I am surely coming back soon...

The hotel is a bit far off Cambridge city so it would be great if there were ready taxi's available. Drinking water bottles need to be kept in the room as its essential...

Check in with Chelsea was amazing however, there was a chap working along side her who was quite argumentative when I was initally trying to explain an error with the booking. Chelsea took over and sorted everything very efficiently. All breakfast and bar staff were very pleasant during our stay. Breakfast was tasty however, in busy times there was a wait for food to be replenished.

As mentioned above - wasn't a great start The room for 3 people (double bed + sofa bed) wasn't really big enough - hardly room to move or hang clothes. Myself and my husband had an accessible room which was amazingly spacious.

Clean, comfortable, nice decor and well thought out details in our room. Good size, clutter free and a great bathroom. Kettle provided with teabags, coffee and milk. Iron and mini ironing board tucked away neatly came in very handy. Staff couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent customer service. Dining area was nicely laid out. Good options for breakfast (vegan, vegetarian and halal) but scrambled aggs contained milk so I couldn't eat them as I'm lactose intolerant, would have been good to have fried or boiled eggs on offer.

No fridge in the room but staff were happy to store things in the kitchen fridge. As stated above, scrambled eggs contained milk and there were no other egg options available.

Lovely sheets and pillows. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very efficient lifts. Everywhere was clean, fresh, modern and tasteful. Lots of electric sockets. Nice hairdryer. Good curtains to keep out the sun.

We had to hang longer dresses and the suit bag on the wall, as the main hanging space was for short items only, however at least there was this option. We were surprised that we were given fresh towels when we didn't request them, but must say that they were really lovely towels. There was no light directly over a mirror for ease of putting on makeup in the bedroom. I don't count the sink area, because it's not easy to put on makeup in the bathroom.

I was visiting the area as a wedding videographer, so it was a work trip for a wedding the following day. The hotel is newly built and at the time of writing everything is clean and fresh. It's located on the edge of a small village and new residential and commercial area. There is a Morrisons just around the corner with cashpoints and a couple of local places to eat. There is a large free car park. My room looked over this, so wasn't the most amazing view, but most people won't be there for the views or spending much time in their room, so it wasn't an issue for me. I had room 231 and I honestly could not fault it. It was clean, tidy and despite being 'compact' it had everything you would need including a iron, ironing board, hairdryer plus a nice bathroom and spacious shower. The TV channels all worked, there was air-conditioning and the bed was very large and comfortable. Downstairs is a large reception area with a small bar and lounge. Breakfast was included in the room rate and comsisted of a great selection of teas, coffee, pastries, breads, toast and a hot buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and beans, which you could help yourself to. The staff were all professional and friendly and I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative was the very limited bar menu for evening meal on my first night. Chicken nuggets and oven chips was my choice and although it was okay (I was starving) it wasn't worth the £8.50 (approx) I paid for it. If they could have a few more options and make the quality a bit better, it would be great. if you want to stay local to eat, there is a Chinese, Indian, a Dominos and a local pub. Otherwise you're not far from Cambridge and could always head there.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Location was pretty good for getting to and from Cambridge and other places. Electric charging stations, walks to nature reserve despite being on part of a new build beside a Morrisons super store. Having looked at the decorative map on the way in we even popped to the windmill a couple of miles away. Food was decent too and convenient.

All was pretty good to be fair, new, clean etc. We opened our window and there was a bit of noise from the direction of Morrisons but it didn't stop us falling asleep and getting a good night's sleep.

clean rooms, nice ambience, spacious lobby to sit in the evening or during the day. Next door there is another hotel Belfry, which has restaurant, bar and nice sitting outside at the pond. Relatively quiet rooms and neighbourhood. Quite handy that there is a supermarket just behind the hotel which is open until late.

Very limited food options - both at breakfast and evening. In the morning there was absolutely no veggies - fresh or cooked, no hard cheese and no normal bread - just one for toasting. Also I susspect the scrambled eggs were prepared from some powdered eggs mixture.
