I really liked the friendliness of the staff, who went out of their way to be helpful. I was pleased - and surprised - at the number of doggies that were staying here, with their families. I've always thought some Hotels don't even try to be dog-friendly? The food was good - nice cheesy ships snack, early on, then...hands-down...one of the best pizzas I've ever had!! And so big, I doggy-bagged half of it, which did for my tea the next night. Breakfast was a real winner! Buffet-style, so a grazer's delight - quality sausages and bacon!

Minor niggles! The worst, for me. was that the Hotel sign was mostly hidden by tree foliage, so I ended up driving around to try to find the place!;..but, this falls on Preston CC, I believe, as the Hotel have asked for the leaves to be trimmed back? My breakfast table top was a little wobbly...and I think that's it!

Room basic but large. clean and comfortable. Good sized warm bed. Big shower. Staff, as always, friendly and helpful. Excellent, regularly topped-up buffet breakfast in relaxing environment available from 6.00am until 10.30am. Late check-out time of 12pm means no need to rush away, which was helpful on this occasion. Perfect location for Preston or ongoing travel (we used it as a half-way house coming and going). Have stayed several times and always happy.

One very minor observation: room serviced but tea bags not replaced for evening of day #1 when we returned late wanting a brew. This was very easily solved however with a quick visit to Reception, so not an issue.

Because roadworks at Batley and other traffic crowding had delayed me, my arrival was a few minutes after midnight, but the staff welcomed me, expecting me and one other guest. My room was 009 on the ground floor with heaps of room for my large dog's mattress. My dog was allowed to be with me for breakfast (in the bar area). Breakfast was superb, and was available at a very early time (6.30am). The bed was lovely, and there is a well appointed en suite shower room.

There was no way to open the double glazed floor length window for direct access to the lawn/dog exercise area adjoining (on the other hand it was very secure from possible intrusion) I did not notice the carparking registration computer until I left, and it was not brought to my attention. However I entered my registration number as I left (same day because of my late arrival.) Hopefully the car park monitor will not send me notice of illegal parking.

The staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was quite good. There was everything I required. If my wife had been with me, she would probably have wanted rather more cold meat and cheese. But, for me, the cooked breakfast and porridge-based breakfast were fine. The staff were quick to reload an empty juice dispenser, so nobody went short.

At the price charged, I could not have expected any more.

It was clean. The room was a good size and the shower and bathroom were fine. I was able to order meals in the evening when I came in from the hospital as I was at the hospital staying with my husband having palliative care. The staff were so understanding bringing my evening meals to my room. I would like to thank them all for all their help.

One night (Thursday 29th) outside about 2 am there was a lot of noise in the car park. It sounded like a van and things were moved around. I didn’t get up to look

Excellent location for commuters with plenty of parking. Fairly quiet considering the proximity to two motorways. Bed was surprisingly comfy and staff were very friendly. Bathroom was pretty spacious and pleased to see a TV that works properly.

Some stains on the walls that I hope were from drinks. Curtains let in a lot of light and it was a sunny morning so no lie in. I think it's priced slightly too high for the very basic in-room facilities it offers, despite the location. Chose Ibis as it was short notice and it was the cheapest option close to the M6.

Friendly helpful staff. Room basic but had everything needed. Clean and tidy. Was a excellent base for myself whilst my Mum was in Preston Royal having complex operation. Excellent location for commuting to and from Hospital literally a 5 min drive. Would highly recommend for family wanting to be close to relatives who are at Preston Royal.

The staff were superb, perfect location for us albeit close to the motorway if noise worries you. The EV charger was a bonus, the pool table was a nice touch, tho expensive at £2 a game. The bed was comfy and the bathroom well equipped.

The room itself felt a bit grubby, particularly the carpet and it could have done with a lick of paint, good value for a one night stopover tho.

the lovely warm welcome and service from the brilliant greeting to getting extra pillows nothing was too much trouble and all done with smiles despite being extremely busy.. so a great thanks to keith and alice. we had stayed the night before at the marriott as i had an appt there and moved because friends were at the Ibis - a good move as we had much better service. decided to stay for breakfast and again met with the same good standard for service by the 2 chaps there - they were run off their feet but all smiles. would stay again.

Parking was good for me and staff were very helpful providing information about it. The hotel was well presented, with some tasteful festive decorations for Christmas. My room was very clean, and had everything I expected. In the morning a cleaner asked whether I'd liked my room cleaned, and helpfully gave me some more coffee too.

Duvet and/or duvet cover were slightly narrow on the single bed. Pillows were soft but were both very thick, so were uncomfortable to sleep on, either lying on my back or on my side. Cleaning staff or their manager said that unfortunately they could not provide any thinner pillows. It's shame as every other aspect of the hotel and staff either met or exceeded my expectations.
