Best Western Plus Hotel Bern

Clean room, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Breakfast compared well with larger convention hotel buffets. A Coop grocery store is immediately next door. On-site restaurant served tasty dinner at prices comparable to other Bern menus. Easy walk to train station, and literally right around the corner from the main street in the Old city. Staff was very helpful. Lodging comes with free tram and funicular access.

My room faced the inner courtyard, where people could smoke outdoors. I had to close my balcony door a couple of times because cigarette smoke was venting into my room. But this is a quibble.

Concierge recommended a wonderful dinner place since we arrived between the lunch and dinner seating. Comfy beds. Check In and check out were a breeze. Big beautiful room with couch. We really felt pampered. Since this was the last day of our 2 week trip, all the little things were appreciated.

Spa tub was not heated enough But the jets were wonderfully spaced. The spa area and tub were very clean. There was no explanation of the a/c system. We called for help and the young man didn't understand the system so he just disconnected the power.

Only stayed for one night, but wish we stayed longer. Staff were extremely lovely despite how busy it was - almost a line out the door for check in! Very beautiful hotel, clean fancy room. However the shower is shared with the toilet, so the water flooded the toilet floor. Not much of a problem though, just a bit odd. Perfect location a few steps from the main centre and street market. Surrounded by shops and restaurants just around the corner and only a 5 minute walk to the main station. We will be back! (24 year old couple)

Nothing, was great!

The hotel was easily accessible via a short walk from the train station. The staffs were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and soundproofing was quite good. The aircon in the rooms I booked (4 rooms) varied with some rooms being very cold whilst others being quite stuffy despite turning on the A/C. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

The layout of some of the standard rooms were very different from each other. I booked 4 standard rooms, of which 2 were much bigger in size and had really big toilets whilst the other 2 rooms were much smaller and had relatively smaller toilets. But our general stay overall was very comfortable.

Super friendly staff, especially Mr. Tobias and his colleague Ms. Hartman. Breakfast is OK. Beads are comfortable, matrasses are firm! Room - suite - is pretty big. The location is fantastic, in historical building of 1914, at the city center, near the Clock Tower.

On first night there was low water pressure in shower, but it was quickly fixed by our request! The air conditioning requires upgrade especially regarding the current warming - it was absolutely not sufficient

location was perfect , its just in the middle of the everything but also quit and very comfortable , rooms were unique and comfy , yes small but not that small , amazing and comfortable hotel , i loved it , if i ever come back to bern it will be my stay every-time , i didn't need to pay for breakfast coffee shops are just down the corner , supermarket also , we needed a charger and they just provided us with one , the staff in the reception is a hard worker , he is quit busy but will not forget to smile and give you what you asked for even if its late i respect that , simply i loved my stay and also its the only hotel that i paid my stay on check out , super

Very good location, nice quiet rooms recently renovated. Friendly staff and got free travel card for public transport. Shower was very good with nice big towels.

COVID-19 deal with hotel restaurant was not the greatest experience: totally packed, noisy, table booked for 8pm, first course which was a cold salad arrived at 9.20pm. We made a joke that there were not enough plates to go around and we had to wait for the next table to finish their food, so that they they could wash up the plates and serve us our food. Quality was ok/passable and would not have eaten here if it were not for the sanitary restrictions. Breakfast was equally busy but at least everyone was more spaced out.

The location was ideal close to the Zytglogge (clock tower), old town, and public transit. It was convenient to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. My room was pristine and modern with a comfortable bed. The hotel's breakfast is by far the nicest spread I have seen—there are two rooms where the food is located. The restaurant is spacious and it is clear that this is a very well maintained hotel. Staff are professional and helpful.

The location is perfect. There is complementary wine in the reception area and there never seemed to be much of a line to speak with someone. The rooms have a Nespresso machine with complementary bottles of water. The breakfast buffet was adequate.

We booked 2 rooms for the same price and one was quite a bit larger with a sitting area. The other was pretty cramped. Not sure how to get the bigger room! Although the offsite parking is listed on the website, how to pay the ticket was not explained when we checked in. We ended up paying double from what we should have. Each lot is different, so make sure and clarify before you pay your ticket.

The hotel Bern was a great place to stay in the city! The location is right in the middle of everything, the room was comfortable with good air conditioning, I balcony overlooking the rooftops of the town, a big bathtub, and a comfortable bed. The decor of the hotel is also very modern and classy. I also loved having a nespresso machine in the room.

The staff were fine but not exceptionally nice or helpful and the bathroom was a little bizarre if you’re traveling with a friend, as the shower has a frosted glass window in it connected to the room, so the light shines through if you use the bathroom at night.
