The A/C didn’t work. We called the front desk but nobody answered. We were told to leave a message.Nobody called back. We learned that the office had to turn it on. If only this information had been provided in the room a lot of aggravation would have been spared. We parked the car in a gated area but to walk out we could not find the right button to press. To get out of the same area with the car was also a problem. the gate opened only if the car was in a specific location in front of the gate. A lot of problems that someone with a minimum of common sense should be able to solve

This is a lovely hotel, located across the street from a wonderful swimming beach. It was a 25 min walk along the lake to the conference center and easily accessible to the city via the nearby tram stop. (Which goes directly to the train station) There are convenient bus stops too. The staff was, without exception, quite helpful. Our room was spacious and very well designed, with a view to the lake. We found the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel is quite well soundproofed. We enjoyed both the great local boulangerie and restaurant. We loved Bordeaux and would happily return to this hotel.

This is a relatively new hotel; everything quite modern and in fine condition, very friendly and helpful staff, both at the reception and in the bar/restaurant. The breakfast buffet was great. Had dinner twice in the restaurant - food was excellent & prices reasonable in a lovely environment. Wifi worked fine. I did not have time to check out the pool or gym. Overall price/performance absolutely on point.

The main drawback is the location - proximity to the lake looked good on paper, but in reality it's a not a pleasant area: run-down industrial estates on one side and homeless camp sites on the other. There are no other bars, restaurants or shops in the immediate vicinity and it's about a 10min walk to the nearest tram stop (which takes you downtown in about 15-20min). Would also have appreciated a fridge/minibar in the room.

The location is great: close enough to the city but also to the airport, main roads and shops, there’s a mall not too far by car as well. Safe car parking, the rooms are a good size and extra clean, the shower pressure was excellent.

In our staying at the Live Hotel only two things weren’t 10/10: the way their air vent system works, even when it’s programmed for colder temps it still gets quite warm during the night (we had to sleep with the windows opened). And two out of the three receptionists didn’t speak advanced English, for us specifically wasn’t a total problem, since we speak other languages and we were able to communicate, but for some guests that might be of some inconvenience. But all and all we’d definitely recommend the place and would stay there again!

location of hotel was very difficult to find , the satnav would not recognise the hotels address , once in Bordeaux found the area but not the hotel , did not realise it was a Business Conference area , and the lake had two lanes of traffic to cross and no view from window of lake with trees blocking the view .The young lady on reception was very kind and spoke very good English ,and was very informative about parking , etc ,The room we booked had a kitchenette , which was very compact but had every thing needed for a short stay , kettle , micro wave , hob , pots ,plates etc , really impressed .The room was really well thought out , compact , but managed to get , drop down table and chairs insitu and small seating area .Bathroom with a great shower was a real bonus , but the bed was amazing , so comfortable , it was bliss after a long journey , best sleep ever .The only complaint was the location , we had a dog and I was looking forward to an early morning walk , BUT THE ROAD WAS A NO NO , and on further looking at the area around the lake found lots of tents , which looked like a homeless settlement , not a good advertisement for business .

The room was in a good location especially since we were there for the Rugby World Cup and it's close to the stadium. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our first room smelt like smoke but they quickly moved us to a new room and it was great. The front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff was awesome!!!!

Although the staff was incredible the hotel could use a little touch up especially in the common areas. Still, it was worth the stay.

I recently stayed at Live Hotels Bordeaux Lac and had a pleasant experience. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily, with nice beds. The staff was friendly, and the pool provided a refreshing escape, perfect during the heatwave. However, the limited pool chairs (only 4 in total) got occupied quickly.

While the tram connection was convenient, the neighborhood seemed sketchy, especially at night.

Rooms were good, staff were lovely, breakfast was fine, the restaurant at the hotel served lovely food, occasionally running out of some things on the menu, but not a big deal.

The secure parking was not as expected, behind a gate but open to the footpath and main road beside the hotel and we were charged for two parking spaces even though we parked both bikes in one.

Great location near the lake, which has a lovely sandy beach and is good for swimming in the summer. Easy tram ride into Bordeaux centre. Parking decent too, with spaces for high vehicles - which we needed as had a roof pod. Food decent, staff nice, rooms clean etc.
