Beautiful and cosy lodge with Mountain View’s and a lovely park just on the doorstep. Room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was fantastic!

the hotel was a bus ride from the main town which was fine for our trip, we ate in the hotel and were in bed early. On previous trips when lots of apre ski involved this hotel probably a bit far from main bars/restaurants. The food in the hotel was good a variety for the 4 nights we were there. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean and beds comfy. shower was good.

didn't dislike anything really, the price was reasonable, the location was Ok for us as we didn't mind staying in the hotel and eating in the restaurant there. I think this hotel is good for a few days stay. any longer I'd prefer to have been nearer to the main town/restaurants/bars for variety. but was fine for a mum and daughter trip for a few days .

Stayed at this venue while my friends and I were in Chamonix to run the marathon. The hotel is great, there is a big bar and lounge area you can spend time in downstairs. Additionally the breakfast was really good, especially considering it's included in the price. Staff was super friendly to us!

Only small note is bedrooms are small, but this is something seen across Chamonix and not exclusive to this hotel. Hotel is a 30min walk from the city center but well connected. Buses take 5min and go from outside the hotel, and the train station is a 5min walk away, trains cost 1.5€ into the center.

Very nice old style hotel. Personally, I really liked the location. 15 minutes walking distance from the Chamonix centre and on the other hand in a bit quiter area that I appreciated. Right by the small lake where you can admire beatufiul views over the Mont Blanc. You can actually see the Mont Blanc from the balcony of the room and it was great. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Self check-in worked perfectly (which is not always the case in that kind of places ;) ). Breakfest was very decent. I also recommend the restaurant for the dinner - good food at very fair price. I definitely recommend this place.

Everything about this place was excellent! 1) Basic facilities but near & clean with a hot shower available 24x7. 2) Dining option with bar available on site. 3) Just a short walk from the city centre. Alternately you can take the bust which is right in front of the hotel. 4) Free guest pass available that allows you to use the bus and SNCF trains to all neighbouring villages. 5) Beautiful view of the Mont Blanc range across the street. 6) The picturesque Lake Gaillands is across the road with the SNCF train station next to it. 7) Free breakfast along with coffee & juice available 24x7. Overall an excellent place to stay on a budget trip. Great value for money. Highly recommended!

I stayed in a 4 bedroom dorm which was spacious and had an en-suite, making it very comfortable. The bus from Chamonix stops directly outside the lodge if you jump off at 'The Gillands', making it very convenient. I was also able to leave my extra luggage for free in a locked storage room whilst I completed my hike. Loved the breakfast too!

I found the restaurant a little pricy, and thought their could have been a bit more of a selection of affordable meals. But it was good to be able to stay onsite for dinner.

Everything. Ross and the Team he has built there give a great experience. Whilst breakfast is maybe a bit above hostel level but is more than ample with sufficient variety but provides a great environment to meet others. Restaurant just churns out amazing stuff. Ryan you the man and you're Team do you proud. All staff are invested in the business, the experience, the owner and the guests. Makes it pretty difficult to have a bad time. The bar and the mix of tourists, ex-pats and locals now deffo the best for a mixed up atmosphere and interesting meet ups.

No dislikes really but that Pool table needs a new baize :-)

Reception is great! Room is small and cozy, yet spacious enough for 2 adults. View is divine (directly on the A. du Midi)! Breakfast is organized in form of take what you see and it's possible to take. In time from 5am (when they bring the baguettes) to 10am? Coffee is good, offer of games + books, restaurant is great! Service recommends and is nice. Affordable for Chamonix.

A little further from center of Chamonix and you need to travel by bus number 1 (always full) 1x every 30 minutes (approx. 20 minutes on foot). Half of bed was sagging and I was sliding to side - probably mattress is already older.

Close to the centre of town. Walking distance & free bus with bus stop just outside the property. Every item on the menu is really great. Friendly & helpfull staff & hang out for locals which was great. Great value for money place.

The mattress & bed in room 4 was super uncomfortable & bathroom is one of those toilet & shower combo things. Room 7 was great - comfortable bed & bathroom. Room 11 is fantastic with comfortable bed & spacious bathroom and balcony to outside with view on mountain

Lodge is amazing 19th century building with plenty of character. Staff was amazing and friendly (big shout out to Sam who was super helpful, thanks). Parking was available on site and the breakfast/coffee room is available throughout the day as an added bonus. While we haven't tried it, on-site restaurant/pub/bar is also available.

Rooms were decent but cleanliness could be improved. We waited until 4.30pm to get into the room and while cleaned it was evident that they went quickly through it.
