The location of this hotel is superb - it is very close to the main station (but you do not hear noise from the trains) which is also where the you get the airport bus. From the hotel to the Old Port of Marseille is about a 20 minute walk and there are several restaurants, takeaways, shops, pharmacies etc very close by. The breakfast is fairly standard for France and is available from 05:00. Also, they have free unlimited cold drinking water available 24x7 at the reception desk so you can keep water bottles topped up. I had a couple of early starts for activities and onward travel and I must say that my room was very quiet, I had no disturbed sleep. The room was quite small but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom is adeqate with a good shower.

So close to the station, which is wonderful if you have very heavy luggage. We arrived in the afternoon and left the following morning, so this was ideal. Plus it is a very short walk to the marina and surrounding restaurants. For a free hotel breakfast it was very good. Cheese, bread, eggs, fresh juice and cereals were all available, as well as some lovely pastries and a home made cake.

The room is small. Truly, it can only be used as a place to sleep, I would not recommend if you want to work in the room or if you just want to chill in your hotel room. If you get a room facing the road it can be a little loud, but the windows are double glazed so it is not too bad.

Great location, decent-sized single room, good quality bedding, good-sized TV. But especially free water fountain at the entrance, including sparkling water! Great continental breakfast included: proper expresso coffee, a variety of teas from one of the top tea merchants in France fresh. Good of excellent quality, seasonal fruit, muesli you can make to your taste, delicious jams, a selection of cheeses etc. A firm commitment to reducing expendable plastic and food waste.

Minor issues: the toilet seat was of cheap plastic and I found the decor a bit kitch. But again, minor. I would have loved a kettle in the room, though I know that this is unusual in French hotels.

Fantastic location. A very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and bathroom. All good. The breakfast was very good. Big choice. The left luggage room is safe and convinient. Thank you for a cup of tea before leaving.

Helpful and pleasant staff. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable but a bit small. Zero plastic policy was a good thing. I would definitely stay there again, if I was visiting Marseille.

I thought that I had booked into a hotel on the same level as the train station and was perturbed that it was at the bottom of the 104 steps of the great stairway. OK if you are young, fit and not lugging a suitcase. In the hotel itself, my only concern was the room size. I had a double room and would imagine that it would be a bit cosy for 2 people.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is right next to the Marseille Saint-Charles station. The reception was good with the staff super friendly and nice. The room was clean and daily cleaning was impeccable. The mattress is too soft for my taste but it won't be a negative point because I rested well. The room has a huge smart TV and the ease of connecting to my tablet (for example) is wonderful. Breakfast has plenty to choose from and the bar has some variety of drinks - thanks to the staff member who suggested where to get a sandwich for dinner and after, served me a bottle of French wine and a coffee after a long day...

Excellent breakfast with zero waste ethos, high quality ingredients, freshly baked homemade cake and biscuits, great breads, jams, cheeses etc. Location right by the station and a shortish walk from the port. Nice staff, straightforward check-in and a water cooler in the lobby to refill before you head out into the hot streets.

Rooms are quite small. Bathroom furnishings of poor quality. Decor a bit tacky.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to be accommodating, even allowing us to sneak in for breakfast if we woke up late. The rooms and facilities were all very clean. We also enjoyed the courtyard in the centre and found that it was a great place to meet others staying at the hotel.

A bit far from the Old Port and Central downtown area. Otherwise no complaints!

Reasonably priced Location near station (for early train); good facilities and breakfast.

People permitted to talk (loudly) in the outside courtyard till late; the sound echoes everywhere and is annoying when trying to get to sleep! Note that I was initially informed after my stay by booking.com that I was a 'no-show' ! Staff had clearly forgotten to tell booking.com that I'd booked in, perhaps because I was early.

- The staff was very kind and accomodating with the early check-in. - Room has a good amenity for a short stay. - Price and location is great, close to the metro and the train station. - Wifi excellent - Continental breakfast is with a good basic selection.

- The shower does not have a curtain so the water can get splashed around in the bathroom.
