Perfect location, flowless decoration and incredible breakfast

We have reserved a confort room which was not what we expected (very dark, old, not confortable bed and the bathroom was without shower, only bathtube). We were lucky that there was a superior room available in that moment so we changed rooms paying a very small difference in price. The superior room was amazing. If you are planing to stay in the hotel please consider that there is a huge difference in terms of space, venue, light and decor between the different types of rooms, which can change the quality of the experience.

We have stayed at this hotel over many years and it never disappoints. Lovely old building with loads of character, in what we think is the best village in Alsace. Once you know how to negotiate the one way system through the village, the parking is free and near to the hotel and the many good bars and restaurants are in easy walking distance. We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard so a bit dark (but cool!) and you had to keep the curtains drawn all the time, but the room was really large, quiet and comfortable with a fantastic bathroom. Amazing value for money. We will be going back.

This is a high end hotel with ample lounge spaces including an open courtyard. It’s very comfortable and tastefully presented with a fabulous restaurant, where we enjoyed 2 beautiful dinners and a breakfast. It’s very central yet quiet.

The breakfast was a fairly simple selection and felt expensive. We didn’t have it after the first one, choosing a nearby cafe which was comparable at a fraction of the cost. The dinner, on the other hand, is excellent with great cuts of meat and beautiful sauces prepared by an experienced chef.

Hotel in a beautiful old building in the centre of Turckheim. Large, clean, quiet, comfortable room with huge bathroom (no.26 directly onto the cool courtyard). Excellent helpful staff. Easy free parking directly opposite the hotel. Excellent lounge/public areas.

No air-con but a new and very effective fan was provided when I asked for one (we stayed during a 32+ degree heatwave). Breakfast was expensive and a bit of a free-for-all. I would recommend using a simple local bar/boulangerie/patisserie.

For the price, the best breakfast we have ever had in either a hotel or B&B. The buffet choice was amazing and all excellent quality - from the multiple bottles of chilled juice (all different fruits) to the fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurts, cooked eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, pastries and cakes and a large pot of coffee or tea (could be refilled) brought to your table, we were very spoilt. We paid a lot more at our next B&B for a very simple continental breakfast. The weather was extremely hot but the hotel provided a good fan in the room.

Other than the excellent breakfast no other meals were served at the hotel, although there was an excellent bar. The local restaurants get very full and if one doesn't book one is hard pressed to find a meal, even if you try early.

The hotel had loads of space to sit and relax and enjoy being on holidays. Great locations to have a day in Colmar, walks up in the hills and they have three great winery. We made a cheese board each night and sat in the garden with a bottle of local wine. Perfect way to spend the evening after a day of exploring.

Our room had the afternoon to sunset sun directly on the room. We struggled to sleep before 11:30, I’d ask for a room with morning sun in the summer.

The property was ultra charming! A great value for what we paid. The shared spaces were beautiful and I wish I'd had more time to spend there. The rooms were of the older style, but they thoughtfully provided phone charger direct hookups by the bed and the desk. Julia at the night desk helped us to procure a dinner reservation when it turned out every open restaurant in town was fully booked! We appreciated her help.

I don't love having to stand in a bathtub to shower, and as there was no divider, I had to be careful to not get water all over the floor. The bathroom was old and very basic, but the rest of the hotel made up for this.

A beautiful property located in the heart of Turckheim. The inside of the property has retained its charm and decorated the same, quirky and classical mix. Car parking was available on site via a small courtyard area. Our room was quite small, which we did expect, was very clean and cosy. The room is suitable for a short stay to explore the town and neighbouring locations. All staff were welcoming and friendly.

One criticism was the cost of breakfast, we opted not to have the breakfast based on the price whilst we had read it was delicious. We calculated it would have been a third of the cost of the hotel stay so it didn’t seem a balanced price especially when there are plenty of lovely bakeries etc around the area offering the same

The hotel is extremely beautiful, it is such a little gem in a such chocolate box town. Everything is so elegant around you and the little touches make such a difference. The staff is really polite and competent and eager to help. Our bedroom was big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served in their stunning dining room. We traveled with our well behaved dog. Really highly recommended.

initially we reserved a room in the second building that we did not liked, not luminous and without shower, only bathtube. we changed to a superior room in the main building that was completely amazing. We recommend you to choose this room (#3) is like being in the middle of a tale :) we stayed 3 nights wifi didt worked during our stay
