There are hardly any bakeries around so you have to have breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast is 18 euros a head, for this price the breakfast variety is too small, the vegetables are even only a little cucumber and small tomatoes. No coffee machines in standard rooms, which is inappropriate for a resort hotel.

We love most things about this hotel, especially the pool! Everything was in great condition and the air was so fresh! We didn't like the noise that we have to deal with every morning but it was not something the hotel can prevent. Some parents let their kids run all over the hallway like it's their own home. Another thing was the consistency of the housekeeping, our room was not vacuumed every day, on some days there was no replenishment of the bathroom amenities and the sheets on our beds were not changed for the 5 nights we stayed.

The hotel is nestled in the trees and perched on a hilltop as part of Husseren de Chateaux village. The views of the Alsace valley and the vinyards are breathtaking. The nearest known village is Eguishiem (part of les plus beaux villages de France). Where you would need to go in case you don't want to repeatedly eat at the hotel's only restaurant. Which you won't be able to if you don't book before arriving (a typical French peculiarity, most restaurants won't entertain you without reservation). The hotel, however, does provide the possibility to order from a fixed menu 24x7 (a surprise given that this is France!). Fixed menu has a great pasta and risotto. The rooms are spacious. We were in a room with terrace where bunk beds were on lower level and the main bed on upper level. The room has two bathrooms and toilets which is a really convenient and nice touch. Terrace space was ample and on sunny days serves as sunbathing space. Hotel hospitality is typical French, warm, endearing but inflexible. All in all a great place to stay in Alsace. However you would need a car (the nearest supermarket is kms away) and nearest eatery in Eguishiem.

The swimming pool is small and limited for use by kids younger than 16.

The sofa bed in the room was not very comfortable for an adult, we should have requested a second matrass Groundfloor rooms have a direct view on the parking lot Exterior of the hotel has no garden Limited times for the kids to go to the swimming pool (but still 5 hours per day), understandable given the rather small swimming pool relative to the size of the hotel The restaurant was full upon our arrival for the next 5 days! One could expect a few tables to be kept available for guests A small curtain should be added in the spa ladies changing room to avoid going out of the shower and facing some guests outside just a few meters away ;-)

Probably the best hotel we stayed at on our Alsace wine tour. Large airy twin room with separate shower and toilet and excellent air conditioning made for a great sleep. The spa was lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace for drinks and snacks. The hillside location is stunning with a beautiful walk into town through the vineyards and walks to the 5 chateaux just behind.

A few tiny things but nothing that spoiled our stay. Children weren’t supposed to be in the spa after 11 but there were very noisy children jumping in the pool at 1pm. The breakfast was just ok for the price but due to the remote location there wasn’t the usual option of popping to a local bakery. It’s a long walk back from town on an evening, but worth it!

Located in a small town close to Colmar, quiet place and easy access by car. adequate parking, reception was good, good breakfast. Relatively clean room and good size for families. Dinner was very good, not much variety but it was expected.

Limited time for the pool to be enjoyed by children, only two short hours. As there are no other attractions for children in the hotel, perhaps if you expect to take the family with kids you will have to make other plans in the cities and surroundings.

If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, I definitely recommend this hotel. It is in the middle of a forest with plenty of fresh air with a great swimming pool and SPA services. The room was very clean and comfy. Everything was new and nothing was missing. It was pretty quiet except for the relaxing bird sounds from the forest which was amazing. The view from the restaurant (and our room) was also great.

The breakfast might have been a bit more rich. Also, if you do not have a car it is not easy to reach the hotel as it is 10 minutes drive from Eguisheim and 20 minutes from Colmar.

- Restaurant is good but nothing special and does not offer Alsace specialities. We spent 170 euro’s on a night’s dinner for food you can get anywhere in france. It is not the money and I would have been happy to spend that same amount on anything I can get for half in Eguisheim. So I would recommend they also include Alsace dishes in their restaurant, because we found ourselves going to Eguisheim for dinner on a daily basis. - The bar dishes were not as good or diverse as hoped for. more choice would be good and the club sandwhich was more a sandwich than a club sandwich.

Really nice chateau that was adapted to a hotel. It is extremely well maintained - renovated and well maintained. The pool is warm and suitable for kids being not so chlorinated. The food is on a very good level, while staff really try their best to accommodate you and make you feel comfortable.

Service was overall great, but you can see it vary a bit between the different shifts. One day breakfast buffet would be well equipped, while the next it will miss certain elements and refilling would take some time. the Bain-au-foret restaurant is a great experience, but they miss some final details in making it an exquisite culinary location.

The style of the hotel was beautiful and elegant. The spa and swimming pool were such a welcome respite before and after days of shopping and walking. The rooms were large and comfortable The hotel was set in a beautiful location and the staff despite our language barriers were helpful and accommodating. The hotel recommended Antonia as a taxi service and he was both a game changer and life saver for our group. He was extremely flexible picking us up within 10 minutes at any destination.

The hotel breakfast was 18.00 euros per person and we thought that was too expensive
