A lovely, old, quaint hotel (and I mean 'old' in a good way). It's in an historic looking neighborhood in Wintzenheim, a suburb of Colmar. The owner was nice, and I was able to communicate with her in German. It is a few km from Colmar station, so it's a cheaper, non-touristy area, and the hotel is a good value. It can be reached by bus from Comar station; if you plan to go to and from Colmar, then be sure to ask the bus driver for a day pass or multi-day pass (Tageskarte) instead of paying individual bus fares.

We stayed here in late July, and there was nobody else around, in the hotel or in the neighborhood. It was like a ghost town, and I'm not sure why. Booking.com kind of messed up our reservation - the interface keeps dropping my son when I try to book some things, but the hotel owner was understanding, though I had to pay extra for him when checking in (that's the fault of the sometimes buggy Booking.com site, not the hotel). It is a bit far from Colmar, and a bus comes by once or twice an hour, but you need to check bus schedules ahead of time (the last bus may come around 7pm-ish). The nearest grocery store was a few bus stops away. The room may seem small (not a problem for us, though), but our room had an attic-like ceiling, and it is easy to bump your head on the ceiling.

The owner was so cheerful. Our room was so cozy and warm after being at the cold Christmas markets. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable. We felt like we had a small apartment, it was so spacious.

Unbelievable host. Lots of history and experience here. Only needs half a word, writes nothing down but doesn’t forget anything. Great room, great location and nice parking too. The host makes the place. A true gem.

host family smoke and the smell goes everywhere. It was horrible for allergy cutomers. Wi-fi works only at the hall, not in the room.the hostess belittled the internet connection, the fault was reportedly in the my flaptop. Wall to wall carpets are old-fasioned and terrible for allergy customers. carpets were everywhere.

Wifi wasn’t brilliant but that’s not the end of the world

Very clean, comfortable bed, friendly owner . Hotel is on main street and has a car park. We checked in at 9pm and this was no problem.

The lady at the place was very nice and helpful. Food (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The place was truly a good old guesthouse style !

The double bed was a bit too soft (for a 190cm, 90 kg, plus) man.

We stayed at this on the route from south France to northern Germany. Very friendly madame and tasty dinner and dessert at the restaurant with reasonable price. Parking inside.
