It was lovely having windows that open to let in some air. They open right up which was wonderful. The room wasn't huge but was comfortable. It was nicely decorated. From the window, you can see a portion of the Dom cathedral! The bed was comfortable. The shower worked well. There is a lift. You would not want to carry cases up the stairs.

The light on the stairs doesn't have a movement sensor and sometimes goes off when you are halfway up/down leaving you in darkness. The bed sheet was polyester or similar material and very hot, no top sheet. No tea/coffee facilities in the room.

The location was great for proximity to Cologne Central Statioin - less than ten minutes walk (with a heavy suitcase). The cathedral spires were easily visible from our room which was at the front of the hotel and it was unbelievably quiet. The double glazed windows (which could be opened) were super-efficient when closed. The shower was great, with plenty of hot water. The bed was softer than we would choose but it was comfortable. Our room was larger than expected, and very clean, although a little bit dated. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we could leave our luggage for several hours at the hotel after checking out. We cannot comment on breakfast there as we did not have it.

The pillows on our bed were really lumpy.

The Hotel is at a very central location, close to the station, city center and public transport. The room was fairly big, with more than enough room for three people, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything seemed very clean.

When we wanted to check in, no one was at the door and we did not know whether it was possible to leave our bags or anything. However, when we called the phone number on the door the host arrived very quickly and was very nice. If this happens to you, do not hesitate to call the host :)

The location was fantastic for the Old Town area of Cologne! The price also made it very convenient. The hotel does have an elevator also, and the rooms had a great view of the cathedral spires. The hotel is also conveniently located to the Cologne Main Train Station. Maybe a 5 minute walk at most.

The parking situation around the hotel is quite not good if I'm being honest, so I would recommend anyone staying here take a train into town and then walking to the hotel.

The location is excellent. Right on the old square. 5 mins from the river. It's less than ten mins walk from the train station with the cathedral in between!! A lovely little street. Excellent variety of rooms for all size groups. Ideal for our family of 4. Really happy.

You'll hear the church bells early in the morning...... but that's what the cities about! So no problem.

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room. The location cannot be beaten - 5 mins walk from the train station, right next to the Old Town, and the view out of the hotel window was of the Cologne Cathedral. Just superb! The street in front of the hotel has a beer house, restaurants and several souvenir shops, and many bars and restaurants are only minutes away. It's also a short 10 minute walk to the Rhine

There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel.

Lovely family run hotel in the centre of cologne. Bed was extremely comfortable, the room was warm (it’s chilly in December), the breakfast was delicious and the wee touches you get from a boutique hotel really added to the personality of the place (we were given a chocolate St Nicholas/Santa upon arrival). The couple running it are very friendly and more than happy to help you get the most out of your stay with ideas of what to visit and where to eat. Would highly recommend.

Great position, big room, clean.

No luggage storage available after the check out, I kindly suggest to take care about that, of course we were happy to pay for it. Staff must be more happy to see a customer, not really helpful. The idea that the same room key open also the general entrance door is not the safest way to avoid problems.

Amazing location in the old town, just a block from the Dom and the Altmarkt. Very friendly hotelier. The beds were extremely comfortable. Great assortment of restaurants and pubs nearby.

Parking in the old city of Cologne is hard. This isn't controlled or influenced in any way by the hotel, just something to know for travelers.

The location is perfect. Loved the quaint furniture in the rooms and the amazing comfy bed and warm quilt.

It was a bit desolate inside as i felt i may have been the only guest and it was nerve-wracking. Also the room door handle seemed broken and i could not open the lock and i was stuck until i was rescued!! Quite scary as a lone traveller..
