I love the restaurant (PVLS), the restaurant staff, the menu - all very notable. I've hosted a larger client dinner there and it was impressive, and also casually dined there on my own, and it was equally special. Breakfast was also great. I love the style of the rooms and they way they are laid out. It feels modern and elegant, yet simple and uncomplicated at the same time with quality finishes, muted/non-intrusive decor. Also, I very much appreciated the still and sparkling water in my room, which was refilled each day.

The only thing that could have been improved was the mattress set up. I had a king sized bed which was actually 2 single beds pushed together, and while in the bed you can feel the divot in the middle between the 2 mattresses. Easily addressed if they knew it was affecting the comfort of one's sleep. Though the pillows and linens were very high quality.

We really like the Legend Hotel, and will go back. The location truly is excellent. We had a fabulous large room (so can't speak to the others), very well decorated and with an extremely comfortable bed. The storage, climate controls and sound insulation were all excellent.

Our view was only of the building across the lane (as opposed to the Rathaus, which would have been cool!). The breakfast was fine but unexceptional, and a bit expensive for what was offered. The excavations behind the Rathaus and so close to the hotel are a bit annoying (although there was no noise at all, which I found astonishing). The basin was in the main room, rather than the bathroom, which has advantages but disadvantages as well.

Beautiful room with view on the Cathedral. Location superb, close to the train station, old market square with pubs and restaurants, Christmas market, shopping street, supermarket, and the Cathedral. Very comfortable bed and soft linen. Nice to be able to make tea and coffee in the room, though be sure to press the water container fully down, else it can spill water. Breakfast was much better than reception made it sound: they said it would be a small snack but there were very nice bread rolls with seeds on them and a variety of fillings, including brie with salad. Also orange juice, coffee and water all for free.

Nothing, it was a beautiful, comfortable and conveniently located hotel.

The staff are just amazing. Genuinely some of the nicest, most friendly, most helpful staff I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always more than happy to go above and beyond. The room was incredible. Clean, modern, well-furnished. Had everything you need and again, honestly, was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in. The location is also PERFECT. You are only a short walk round the corner from the Cathedral and all the shops etc., but without feeling like you are in the touristy shopping part. You are also right next to the old Town Hall and its square with a vibrant atmosphere and lots of restaurants & beer venues etc. Another short walk and you are at the banks of the Rhine. If I ever come back to Cologne, this is where I will stay. Absolutely recommend it!

As other people have said, lack of a proper breakfast is something perhaps to work on? I'm not really a big breakfast person though so it didn't bother me too much, but some pastries/croissants on offer might have been nice. The hotel's restaurant is very upmarket which is hardly something negative... for me, personally, I just wish they had a few less fancy options for when I was a bit tired and didn't feel like going out and wanted room service etc. (like a basic pasta or pizza or French fries type of thing). But that is just my personal preference and the quality of the food that they do serve was superb. Also, this doesn't really matter too much since you can get a takeaway pizza literally around the corner in the square.

This was our second stay at the Legend Hotel. Because we knew the hotel was so easy to get to from the station we stayed overnight to break up a long rail journey from Austria to the UK. For this the hotel was ideal. Last time we stayed in a larger suite but because this time we only had the one night we chose a smaller loft room. Although smaller the room was just as nicely furnished, comfortable and quiet as the suite so it suited us fine. The staff were just as good as they were on our first stay and we were just as happy with the hotel. As well as being close to the Station the hotel is also well situated for Cologne's main attractions and many breweries, cafes, and restaurants. We had a great night out in the old town before catching an early train in the morning. If we return for longer stays (as we hope to) we'll stay at the Legend if possible and probably choose a suite again but for shorter stays we'd be happy with the Loft Rooms.

I liked how central the Hotel is. We had the fortune of having a balcony in out room. The unexpected surprise was free breakfast. Great fresh snack before touring Cologne. Great service and the rooms were fabulous. Best feature was the light controlling system.

Not that it's the hotels fault but there was lots of Construction going on. Found out a Jewish Museum is being built next door which will be completed by 2026. That didn't affect our holiday as no noise could be heard from outside and hotel had black out windows.

The hotel is well located, you have everything you need nearby (shops, restaurants...) and the main train station is only 5 minutes walking. The room was nice and the bed comfy, and the street is really quite. Went there with my little dog without problem, you just need to let them know that you are coming with one.

Would really love an option for the breakfast. The coffee machine is a nice plus, but it's making a lot of noise! Had the feeling I woke up the whole hotel using it.

The Legend is a high quality new hotel in a great central location. Our room was spacious, comfortable, really well appointed and spotlessly clean. We were warmly greeted on arrival and found all of the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly placed to visit all of Cologne's major attractions. One of the best Christmas markets is literally on the doorstep, many of the best brewery bar/ restaurants are in the near vicinity, it's very close to the Cathedral, the main shopping areas and the river and only 5 minutes walk to the Central Station. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

I love the small, quaint hotel feel. the view was incredible. Room looked at tge old town hall and I could see the cathedral in the background on opposite side. The room was very architectural. Convenient to mass transit and in the heart of the city. Plenty of restaurants walking distance, definitely the highlight of my trip. Don’t forget to check out the rooftop terrace and have a cocktail.

Hotel was difficult to fine and kind of tucked away. I wasn’t sure I was in the correct place until I walk to the end of the street.

I absolutely loved the design, style, and the detail in the room and bathroom. The timber floors, the stony walls, the amazing huge and comfy bed, the porcelain cups, the L'Occitane cosmetics, and the window facing a historical part of the town hall- all this was wonderful and made my stay extremely pleasant. I also appreciated that the hotel was located only a short walking distance from the Cologne Cathedral and the main train station.

I wish I could have stayed longer than I did! I will definitely come back in the future.
