The Location was excellent, The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were mostly very good. The two people who checked me in and checked me out were friendly, professional, and courteous.

I had an unacceptably bad interaction with a person named Gina. I arrived the first morning twelve minutes after breakfast time had elapsed (I mistook the last time for breakfast). Gina called me out in a public and unprofessional manner. They seemed to be trying their best to talk down to me. When I explained I simply got the time wrong, Gina responded with the tone of someone talking to a newborn wall, and rudely tried to explain to me how time works. A refresher course on guest services would work well. I would still recommend this establishment, just do not come late for breakfast or Gina may come for you.

breakfast was exceptional - excellent

there was no aircon -room too hot-i would have appreciated a fan at least for air movement. the window does not open so the ventilation pathetic. also in winter it would be cold without the aircon could not get the TVto work - did not worry me as i spent little time in the room the pillow was poor- went out and bought a pillow

The room was a lovely size, bed was super soft, clean and nicely decorated. Great location, close to the train station and a sort walk from the main shops and cathedral. The breakfast was lovely wide range of options along with items for those with dietary requirement. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Being on the top floor was a bit of a pain with awkward stairs from 4th to 5th floor. The floor boards were a little squeaky and could here most things in the room next door, but not to the point it disturbed us. worst thing was the radiators didn't heat up properly but luckily it wasn't to cold.

Very well furnished, comfy bed, great shower. Literally across the road from the train station. Tasty breakfast (usual great options continental style - meats, breads, cheeses etc) with some unique desserts which were a nice touch and friendly staff who spoke English well.

There was a cctv camera pointed at the roof garden/balcony area immediately outside our room, which felt like it was looking into our room, though it was clearly there for security. We had curtains but some blinds would've helped it feel more private whilst still allowing light in.

The location is excellent with a U Bahn station right at the end of the road and a REWE supermarket at the other end. It is right by the main station but I know Cologne well so chose the location deliberately as we would be using the trains to visit other places. The breakfast was good with eggs any which way cooked to order. Did we really need so many sweets on offer, or biscuits? My granddaughter went straight for them, of course.

I always make sure that the hotel I book has a lift as I'm over 70 but we were given a room in the apartment part of the hotel, a few doors down and up 4 flights of stairs. This was exhausting at the end of our busy days. The receptionist carried my case up in the first evening and my 13 year old granddaughter carried it back down. The shower tray was quite high off the ground which was a bit difficult. A microwave oven would have been better than the two hot plates in the kitchen corner.

Stayed twice already and will surely book it again. The room is cancellable until the last day. Great value for money as their rate includes breakfast. Great location as I needed to be in the city center and close to the train station. The breakfast is really good. The staff was great and prepared a breakfast box for me as I was leaving early.

Wifi connection is not great, I had to switch to 4G. If you're into fancy bathrooms, then you'll be disappointed but that it worked well for me as everything I needed was provided and everything was clean.

We had a great triple room up at the top of the building which was like a mini suite. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for us when there. The breakfast was great, all the usual continental fare but with a few additional twists as well. The hotel is right across the road from the HBF, so perfectly located for the cathedral and all the areas around there and if you want to travel further, the train station is on your doorstep. I'd highly recommend staying here if visiting Colonge, which itself is a nice City that is overlooked too often in favour of Berlin, Munich etc.

We were a family of 5 that booked two rooms close together. We had arrived in Cologne via train. The hotel is 2 blocks from the central station, which was very convenient for arrival/departure and made it easy to take transit to other parts of the city. The hotel is also a short walk from many of Cologne's attractions including the river, old town and the cathedral. The rooms were simple but clean and fairly spacious. The staff were friendly and were happy to store our bags for several hours after we checked out. The included breakfast was one of the better ones we had on our trip, including fresh fruit and eggs or omlettes made to order.

This is a highly recommended amazing hotel, in the city center yet on a quiet and calm street. The beds were extremely comfortable, the room (we stayed in a triple room) consisted of two rooms, spacious and nice. There was a separate bathroom and toilet. The staff was very nice, the facility was very clean, cosy and nice. The breakfast service totally exceeded our expectations and made our stay memorable. Amazing variety for a small place, delicious food, attention, just above all our expectations. Thank you and we would love to come back!

In our room the toilet did not have a fan, but possibly because it is an old building.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Domspitzen. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the main train station and cathedral. The staff were amazing-so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Such a fantastic range of foods on the buffet, and eggs made to order as well. A great place to stay when in Cologne.

The room was a good size, but the bathroom was tiny. Some would find it hard to use.
