The hotel was very central and very close to the central station. Decor is really fresh and they provide you with free-flowing water and coffee. The staff was always there to help and very friendly. Everyone spoke English in the hotel.

Room was a little too small for two people. There is no room service too we had to use the same towel for 4 days and our bins were never emptied.

Location was superb while being in the centre of action, it also infuses the cosmopolitan air with local flavours. There are convenient stores where one could get almost anything. The hotel is in the heart of city but never noisy.

I like to interact with the front office staff when i stay in hotels as i used to work in one. However, this time the staff are always attending to guests and the hotel is always busy with corporate events, Another thing I wish they raise the level of shower floor as the water spread easily to the dry floor.

The staff really friendly and helpful but they should have told us that the room wont be clean for the weekend, we have to go to reception to get some clean towels, room itself good enough as we both are not too big, else it will be hard to navigate each other in the room. The bed really hard and made lots of noise. the location also good but be prepared to find lots of homeless and drunk people on your way to the city, we didn't really stay outside till midnight tho, just be prepared!..... Breakfast is good, you got to go box with buns and some sweet tiny muffins, banana, apple and sweet yoghurt and muesli, they should have put unsweetened one as everything already so sweet, should put more healthier stuff instead of sweet ad dry banana cake. The coffee and water facility really convenience and nice gesture!.....We booked parking onsite and was happy with is, overall we are happy but will think twice to stay again, as I kind of not enjoying the location, not hotel fault tho!....maybe this hotel more for young people who is more adventurous..

Excellent hotel which really made our trip to Cologne that much better! I find that the little things go a long way with hotels, in this case: - Easy Netflix access on the TV. - Early check in + late check out - Free coffee/hot choc is given in the mornings which made grabbing one to go on our way out a really nice treat. - Really friendly employees - Double windows eliminated any sort of noise The hotel has a really cosy and youthful vibe to it, rooms have a really nice design, equipped with large TV’s, compared to hotel standards. The little puns all around the room felt like a really friendly touch too :) Lastly, location is really central. 10/10 Recommend, Keep up the good work!

The location is great - near the station and cathedral and in a place with lots of places to eat and drink. We loved the room - perfectly air conditioned and sound proofed with a great shower. Everything worked smoothly - and it was great to be able to watch Netflix after a rainy day and eve in Cologne. We also loved the roof terrace.

Check in was a bit tedious - they guy got exasperated with me when I was filling out the wrong thing on the I pad but the instructions weren't clear and I had been travelling for hours.

The location was great, five to ten minutes from the main train station and plenty of food options nearby. The beds were comfortable and there were many free amenities in the lobby area (different coffees, orange juice and tea). Rooms were quiet. The staff did let us have a late check-out free of charge, which we really appreciated.

There was a huge, rather disgusting looking stain under the desk that just put us off immensely. The shower doors stop halfway (it doesn't cover the entire wall, it just ends in the middle), so lots of water sloshed out everywhere onto the floor and the bathroom was a danger zone to step in. Also, we couldn't get the heating to work.

I loved pretty much everything about Urban Loft! The location is great, with views of the Cathedral in the area, and the street outside is very lively and bustling without feeling like a "tourist" area. It's so close to the train station which made it a perfect place to arrive at and made it so easy to get around Cologne, and it's a very central location which makes it easy to walk or S-Bahn ride to places you'll want to go. I also spent a day in Amsterdam (taking the ICE up early in the morning and then taking a night train in the evening), and the location made it so easy to get up for the early train and then go straight to sleep when I got back.

I only have two minor complaints: First, the music in the lobby is a bit too loud and intrusive. Music that's either a bit quieter or a bit more "background" music would be much nicer. Second, the lack of free breakfast being included in the stay is unfortunate. Even if there was a small free breakfast and then a nicer "additional expense" breakfast, that would have been better. Otherwise, excellent experience!

Good stay, helpful & friendly staff, very good facilities available. Bed was comfortable & location was good.

Hotel didn't respond to my special request before my stay so I had to chase them up. I was also bombarded with emails before & after my stay & they wanted me to download an app to check in & out online (as far as I understood) and the emails were in German even though I booked through booking.com's UK site. In fact, when I arrived check-in & out in-person were hassle-free & well handled by staff. So what was the point in all those emails? A small issue, but worth knowing that the kitchen is closed for anything other than breakfast.

Went with my husband and some friends in december to enjoy the xmas markets. We stayed 4 days in the hotel, and the location was great. There are a lot of restaurants and things to do nearby. The rooms are very small, but the bethrooms are good size. Some staff were very nice and friendly, others not at all, but overall, a great stay and I would stay there again.

High-quality, clean, modern and fashionable rooms and facilities overall • central location with 8-minute walking distance to Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) and 5-minute walking distance to tram (U-Bahn) station Breslauer Platz • short walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants • customer- centric, organized and friendly staff • despite the proximity to the train station and despite my overall sleeping challenges, I slept like a baby, owing to the double-glazed windows • Overall, my favorite hotel in Cologne (Köln): I'm a local 'kölsche Mädche' who has now settled down in Amsterdam, but who still enjoys coming back to her homecity Cologne on a regular basis. Based on my knowledge and experience as a local, as a passionate traveler who has stayed at lots of hotels world-wide, and as a high-maintenace germaphobe, I can tell that the Urban Loft and its staff has exceeded standards. The only aspects I dislike about the Urban Loft are: 1) that I'm not the founder who came up with this genius customer experience that Urban Loft obviously offers, 2) that I don't have the exclusive right to actually LIVE at the Urban Loft which I'd immediately do in a heartbeat – Joking aside, again, I have high expectations and in my humble opinion, the Urban Loft counts amongst the best hotels I've so far stayed at world-wide.
