Holiday Inn Munich - Leuchtenbergring, an IHG Hotel

The staff were friendly but not really informed and somehow clueless about their workplace and their job. I asked of aircon cuz it was hella hot, but they said, there was only ventilation and there’s no aircon in the room. I stayed like 2 nights and extended day and i had to work in my room, it wasn’t that kinda stay i would have imagined. Plus, i forgot my universal power point in the room. I sent them email, called them many times, no one could give me any answer, they said their housekeeping would check on it and they would get back to me, but since then, nothing, not even email reply, so, not that really professional or problem solvers. BTW, worked for hotel in all departments, so i know how it’s supposed to work correctly, so…

Close to the city center, some rooms are possible to connect because they are separated by some doors. The breakfast is awesome with a lot to choose from. The gym was there with modest equipment. Clean and very cozy beds. They are promoting water saving and environmentally friendly. There is some free coffee and a bottle of water. The underground parking lot is very well maintained with charging possibility for PHEV and EL cars, but with 20€ / day fee.

Pretty warm in the rooms and we needed to open the window with a special key from reception. The air conditioners are inefficient, very poor and do a lot of noise.

Perfect place if you want to visit Messe in Munchen. You need just 15 minutes from your door to Messe entrance if you use S-Bahn and U-Bahn. Hotel is perfectly clean, staff members are very kind, rooms are spacious. City centre is just 3 minutes with S-Bahn from hotel. I will definitely book this hotel for next visit to Baumesse. It is not too expensive comparing to other hotels in period of year when Baumesse is held (prices in Munchen are crazy in that period). Breakfast is ok.

I have never experience hotel with such obvious flaws and that is still excellent hotel(in my opinion of course). Wardrobe in room is extremely small(it even does not look like a wardrobe). Ventilation in bathroom doesn't work and hairdryer works for only like 30 seconds. Scrambled eggs for breakfast are awful(but the rest of breakfast is fine except the fact that constantly something is missing - in one moment coffee machine doesn't work, next moment the juice machine doesn't work, then you don't have bread anymore...).

The room was nice and spacey, with a very comfy bed. We took a suite, which had tv sets in both the living and bedroom (which we did not use, but we find it annoying when travelling with kids and TV is only in the living room, where they normally get their extra bed prepared). Although the location is not ideal, close to a major road, a construction site and S bahn, with windows closed the room was very quiet. On the other hand, the location was convenient for our needs, but also for reaching the city center, as Sbahn and tram stations were very closeby, and there was even a small shopping mall with a supermarket and a farmacy just around the corner. The breakfast was excellent, with amazing staff, we've had a table reserved for us each morning. Nice selection, not huge, but more than enough for a nice start of the day. The parking was very convenient, a part of a public garage in the same building, reserved just for hotel guests, very clean and safe. The Croatian ladies at the reception desk were great and went out of their ways to help us. We will not hesitate to stay there again.

It was just a bit annoying that we had to get an exit ticket at the reservation desk every time we wanted to drive out of the garage. The room was generally clean, but we accidentally noticed some small items from previous guests underneath one of the counters. But those are really minor things. The toilet room is separate from the bathroom, which is nice, but we did not notice any ventilation system, which was not ideal, let's say :) There is a gym, but very basic, you can do some cardio and that's it.

The location was great for arriving with a car in a not-as-crowded area of Munich and moving around the city with the metro/bus/tram. The Hotel is nicely located by 15 minutes from Marienplatz and around 30 from Olympiazentrum, so it was very comfortable for our trip. The rooms were standard and nice, and the beds were super comfy. The staff was extremely helpful and nice and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Fresh fruits and a great Muesli bar, Weisswurstfrühstück, and even a different variety of plant-based milk and vegan options, super nice! The parking place was a bit pricey but available below the Hotel, so it was very convenient.

The room smelled intense like plastic had burned/been replaced somehow (I suspected it was the carpet, which looked very new). This was bothersome because even with the window open the smell was there, but otherwise not a big problem. For people with several technology needs the plugs available in the room were few, only 1 next to the bed, one below the desk, and one in the wardrobe area. Absolutely no plugs in the toilet (one in the hair dryer area but you needed an adapter for a special plug, which we found weird for a European Hotel).

Excellent breakfast with a very rich choice of food. The rooms are spacious enough. The location is quite OKish - close to tram and metro stops (about 15 mins to the city center). When you come by car from the east - very easy to find the Hotel.

Paid parking (20 Euro per night, suggested by Receptionist). Despite the info on the telly which says parking is free of charge. On the other hand, the Receptionist suggested places where to park over the weekend and not to pay.

The hotel is very close to metro and tram stations, the staff is accommodating, the room was well-furnished.In the room we were given the air conditioning was not working, when we raised the issue, they said there was a problem with the room and we were given an executive double room where it was working okay. We appreciated the change but were left wondering why we were given the faulty room in the first place.

There was no hot water during our last day at the hotel.

The hotel was clean and well located - right by a train station, and also by a tram going to Marienplatz. There is also a small convenience mall next door where you can find a supermarket and a pharmacy, amongst other things. The staff was helpful and we left our luggage in the luggage room on our last day, as we had a few hours between check-out and our flight. There is also a convenient bar and restaurant in the lobby.

The room was very hot, even with the ventilation on. The wifi was weak.

The lovely ladies at the reception. They define hospitality in true sense. One of the receptionists at night suggested that we can order food from Liferando app as it was quite late and all eateries would be closed. Upon the arrival of the order, she was so helpful and lended the cutlery from the kitchen. She was very polite and kind. It was a moment that mattered and she created a long lasting impression. Next to that, the room was spacious and very nice. The breakfast was lovely with a lot of options. The gym was also really good. Overall really enjoyed the stay here.

Nothing in particular

Located near to the S-bahn station, well-connected with the Central Station Munich. The heating of the floor in the bathroom surprised me, it is very nice! The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The blanket is too dense for the hot summer. The air-condition is too noisy, I finally had to turn it off for the night. If the room is located on the outer side of the building, as my room, the street near to the hotel makes a noise even during the night. I even had to close the window tight, which resulted in a lack of fresh air.
