The staff are absolutely amazing. They always made me feel well cared for. The location right at the Viktualienmarkt is hard to beat.

The rooms are spacious, but the choice seemed to be for design rather than function. There was a closet, but the hanging bar was so low, I couldn't hang anything in there. There were only 2 small shelves to hold clothes.... and this only after I had removed the hotel's items (shoe horn, etc). My nephew, his girlfriend, and I stayed in 2 rooms for 5 nights, and there wasn't anyplace to put clothes. Further, the bathroom was overheated, and the door would not stay open -- we had to ask reception for a door stop so the bathroom could air out.

Beautiful property in the city center.  Room was a large, sweet with windows overlooking the plaza.  Big room gorgeous.

The room was never cleaned when I was there for four days after I requested  I found a hair from the previous guest in my tub.  Some of the guest pushed me trying to get on the elevator and were extremely rude.  Luckily, one of the chefs saw me and took me up the elevator to take me to my room, which was very nice.  Went to the rooftop to have dinner which I thought they were supposed to reserve for hotel guest.  They turned me away which is fine but had to go back to room.  They did call after 30 minutes but at that time it was late.

The Louis Hotel is in the best location in München. Exiting the from door drops you directly into Viktualienmarkt and the back exit drops you right into Marienplatz. The rooms are spacious, super clean, quiet and modern. They even filled the room refrigerator with soft drinks, beer and cream for your coffee and brought us fresh fruit and snacks. All for free. The staff is very friendly and efficient and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and more. They offered to make travel arrangements and give suggestions on what to do and see without us lifting a finger. For the price, it would be difficult to find a better place to stay in München. I hope they have rooms available for our next visit.

It is impossible to find anything not to like about Louis Hotel.

Yet another time staying in this hotel (one of my favourite in Munich) i was not disappointed - quite the opposite. It's still beautiful, very stylish, quiet and comfortable hotel, offering you understated, subtle luxury and elegance, with impeccable service and smart location (very close to the very center, but on a side from the main touristic hustle&bustle). the quality of amenities and each of elements of the room design (from beds to light switches) and thoughtfulness and practicality of design is staggering: if you are into these small details, you will enjoy spending every minute in the room and in the hotel generally. All your senses are mesmerised (ok, that's a bit of exaggeration, but...) Overall, great place to stay in munich. True 5!

the bar happened to shut their service quite early, so as i came down there, i was offered to make 'a last order'. With a limitation: i could have a 'long drink' (2 components), but not a real cocktail from a menu. I don't think it has sense to degrade the service of the bar for such minor time saving. And overall it was a very minor flaw, which did not ruin my overall impression.

The location was perfect. Near our favorite seafood Christmas Market stand (Hamburg's Fischhütt'n). Close to the subway (Marienplatz). Close to Viktualienmarkt. Close to a wonderful chocolate shop (Beluga). Easy access to other iconic landmarks. Easy access to dining and shopping options.

The minor issue that became a major inconvenience was the door to our room had a malfunction. So we needed to use a physical key in conjunction with our room card. May not be an issue if you are staying alone but it required extra coordination with my wife.

The location, the spotless cleanliness of the rooms.

The plumbing could be much better. The shower head would not slide on the rail. Since it had been fixed at a low height I had to crouch under it. The single lever controller of water flow and temperature was quite sticky. Hence difficult to control. The hotel management needs to service the plumbing more often to ensure effortless movement.

We had to checkout 1 day early due to a strike at the airport. Hotel requested 90%/day as cancellation fee. I found this percentage very greedy. We were disappointed. No ventilation at the toilet, thus whenever someone uses the toilet the smell stays in whole day&night.

The location is exceptional. The staff were considerate and thoughtful. I loved the decor and the overall experience was very welcoming. The hard wood floors and views of the market made for a warm, clean and scenic hotel stay.

Perfect location for exploring Munich. Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Would have preferred a buffet breakfast every day, not just at the weekend. Room needs more and easier to use storage - there were no drawers and a small, half length wardrobe.
