September 2023

The hotel was very nice, the style, decorations, room. The breakfast was also really good. It was very quiet as well during our stay.

The only problem we had was the water supply. We got the room in the basement. In the shower, there were two faucets on the wall, red and blue. We thought they were there for adjusting the water temperature, so we were turning them, even though the shower itself was not connected to them. Then later our water stopped running completely, in the whole bathroom. Happened twice. On the second time, the hotel stuff told us not to touch them, that's for the stopping of water. 😅

(Maxim) The hotel is nicely located, no too far from central station and closely to U-bahn stations. The neighbourhood is quiet, although it might be very chaotic during Oktoberfest, as this hotel is close to the festival area for Oktober Fest. I would also like to give a compliment for the friendly staff. When we checked in, it turned out that the hotel's administration forgot about our request to put 2 separate beds. This problem was, however, perfectly solved by a very kind receptionist, as she managed to find an empty room with 2 separate beds. As last but not least, I enjoyed the served breakfast. The products are fresh, tasty and the staff is continously checking the food stock. In combination with old-fashioned furniture and a splendid balcony, the breakfast was amazing!

The first major problem is the absence of an elevator, which obliged me to carry a heavy suitcase up to the 2nd floor. Now I'm a young, fit man, but if I were a senior... Besides, my room didn't have air conditioning and there are no structural measures to prevent the sunrays coming in (yes, there are curtains, but they don't help against the heath that already has entered the room through glass). It was very hot in the room. During night we had to open the windows, which permitted various zooming insects to join us in our sleep. Lastly, I would like to mention the "ecological" shower. It is very water saving, as it is such a crap that nobody is able to stand there longer than 5 minutes, which prevents us from using too much water.

it is in an old building. the room decor i liked, old furniture in white. we had two separate beds. i found it comfortable. the room and the bathroom were clean. good toilet paper. enough space for us two. water pressure of the shower was good. bed was clean! no other hairs, which happens in mist hotels. the breakfast was very good. good variety of baked goods, delicious mozzarella and tomato. fresh fruit salad, cheese and meat. also Joghurt … coffee was good. bring your own oatmilk. the area is cute, liked the decor. small area so can be crowded. you can smoke outside. you get a key for the room. all very old fashioned style. we liked it. would definitely recommend staying here. staff was all very friendly and helpful. payed by card at the hotel. lots of good restaurants and grocery shops close to it.

our room was next to the stair case so you heard a bit when people arrived home at night. nothing really.

We really liked how charming the hotel presented. Check in was chaotic, could have used more staff to handle such a large party.

I don't see any rewards points for this hotel or ANY of the other hotels where I booked a total of 43 nights for our family trip. Seven rooms for Monday. May 23 at Siebel in Munich. Seven rooms at Reinischer Hof in Garmish Partenkirchen on Tuesday. May 23 and seven rooms at The Living Hotel in Frankfurt for 4 nights from Sunday May 28 - Thursday. June 1. And The Living Hotel again for 1 room on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 for a total of 43 nights!!! The mattress in our room at Hotel Seibel needs to be updated. Poor access to check in - parking was a nightmare!

This was our third stay at Hotel Seibel. The location is excellent!! It is just across the street from the Oktoberfest grounds/Christmas market, Tollwood. There is an Underground stop just down the hill, (Theresienwiese) which comes straight from the train station and also goes straight into the old town area (Odeon Platz.) There is a new mall across the street with groceries and restaurants. There are some good restaurants and a self-serve laundromat a few blocks behind. The hotel definitely has old-world charm! The fixtures and decorations are all vintage. The wooden floors and heavy keys and locks are old world, for sure. There is also a breakfast buffet available for 10€ each morning. We enjoy the ambiance and kitschy decorations, as well as the ease of location.

This hotel has no elevator. We had a smallish room this time, which was a first. It was an awkward set-up with a door that opened from our bathroom to a balcony. The bathroom obviously was a later addition. The key weighs a lot, and you must lock yourself in. We keep the key in the door at night in case of emergency. No safe, no fridge, no electric kettle. Just the basics.

Breakfast and dining room area was good. The room was very nice. Location was excellent. Very handy to the subway and bus services

No Tea & Coffee facilities in the room or even in the dining room after breakfast was finished was very disappointing for us. The pictures on the booking showed nearly every room with at least one comfy arm chair and our room didn't have this. he TV could do with an update and you had to get a user card from reception to access all channels and we assume this was an extra cost

A really nice hotel with a classic atmosphere. The hotel felt very romantic with its victorian interior. The breakfast was great and so were the staff. The location was also great. Close to the train station, nice restaurants and grocery stores.

Personally, I could have used better facilities to sit down and work as I were working remotely during my stay. Ended up sitting on a closeby café instead, worked great.

We like vintage style so, we like the place. Those who prefer a more modern feel might not like this hotel. The location was good in a more peaceful area of Munich but not right in a central location. Breakfast was good and the female staff in the dining area was very nice and helpful. Liked that our room had wood floor as opposed to carpet.

This property has no lift/elevator. To take the luggage up the stairs or for older persons to climb stairs can be a problem. It was a bit noisy at night, noise from the street and from the other room. The staff at the reception desk could be more friendly and approachable. For visitors to the hotel , this becomes their temporary home and being foreigners a more friendly face and helpful attitude of the staff at the reception would make a world of a difference!

Very nice hotel; white furniture, Parkett rooms and Roller behind the huge windows. Breakfast was tasty; it included salad and fresh fruits, no cafe machine but filter coffee. Staff are not very kind, but helpful if you ask questions directly.

No private parking. One small mirror in the bathroom. The room didn’t have curtains nor telephone device to contact lobby directly.

Even though the hotel looks a bit run down on the outside, the inside provides the shabby-chique charme of an era long gone by. Everything was sparkling clean, the rooms are spacious and prettily decorated. The breakfast is a traditional German buffet and was very good as well. We were allowed to bring our own food for one of us who had many allergies. One of my family became ill on the day of our departure and although it was not possible to reserve the room for longer (the hotel was fully booked and the rooms had to be cleaned!), they let us stay much longer than the usual check-out time. For this we were very grateful!

The person who manned the reception when we arrived was not very helpful. He just handed over the keys, and all other information (check out time reminder, where is breakfast, on which level are the rooms ...) had to be asked for. In any type of accommodation, I would have expected to be given this kind of information without asking.
