room was well furnished with plenty of storage space for clothes etc. The sofa and bed were comfortable and the balcony facing over the courtyard was pleasant. The room was a good size and the shower very good with plenty of hot water. The kitchen had a dishwasher , hob with light/extractor fan and fridge with freezer top. The staff at reception were very lovely and always helpful Parking underground cost €20/day which was the easiest option. A reasonable gym located by the garage underground No Aircon but having requested a fan one was brought eventually we didn’t want breakfast but I’m not sure it looked worth the price. The courtyard was lovely to sit in for a drink.

The location wasn’t in the best part of the city but that’s reflected in the price. However the UBahn was just on the corner to takes you straight where you’d like to be. The laundry room was always full but I did wait and get an available machine- they’re free of charge but I took my own laundry liquitabs. The housekeeping staff are not great, never receiving the requested dishwasher tablets or teatowel. Also on arrival I had to clean the room floor and bathroom floor! There is only one clean if you stay a week. This however was done well. No air conditioning in the room only a thermostat. Thankfully the fan helped and we left window/door open.

Very clean, well equipped room, everything that's needed for a self-catering stay and plenty of space in the kitchen and lounge area of the open plan room. Excellent water pressure in the taps and shower. Very comfortable bed and plenty of plump pillows. Good size TV and very strong WiFi connection which was room specific. Everything well signposted and good use of the TV screen to do this for guests to immediately answer a lot of the normal questions. Everyone at the reception desk was also very friendly and helpful. Gym was also well equipped. Also excellent quality teas and coffees inside the room and more available at reception, also a very good sized kettle to keep the tea-loving Brits happy!

No air conditioning and very few fans available. I was staying for a week and had to go onto a waiting list for fans, but never ended up receiving one, so some evenings were very warm after heat of the day being above 30 degrees. Quite exceptional, so definitely a forgivable situation. I ended up buying some small fans and this helped a lot. If the weather had not been so exceptional, I don't think I would have had anything to say here as everything else about the stay at Schwan Locke was excellent.

Excellent mattress, usefully equipped kitchen, good tv, a balcony, free laundry facilities, generous cupboard space. The U underground is very close - it is worthwhile mastering the train system. As is whole block of Turkish, Afghan etc restaurants and takeaway. Not too far from a couple of supermarkets eg Lidl.

A little cramped, a few things not working eg dishwasher - staff alerted on weekend but not attended to by Thursday checkout. Crockery not quite complete, only one mug had to ask for another, no dinner plates. No cleaning for a six night stay is not really adequate. Temperature in room was uncomfortably hot for entire stay - couldn’t be adjusted.

Very very cute art hotel. Everything is nice and fresh, large rooms, comfy bed, very good appliances. Beautiful courtyard (get a room with balcony, for sure) with a restaurant and a lounge area. The hotel also has a laundry with nice Miele washing machines, which many travelers will find handy. We spend a week there and can't complain at all. Also it's SUPER QUITE, like you can hear nothing overnight which makes this spot a perfect place to recover. REWE and a few cafes are around and public transportation is right there too, so it's very easy to get in/out from/to airport. Our Kudos to the management and the crew!

Laundry is usually super busy and it makes it very challenging to do your own laundry as many tenants are ignorant and won't pick up their clothes on time. Also, the area can be a bit overwhelming for some, but we found it OK, due to its close proximity to The Hauptbahnhof. Although, it's only 20-25 minutes walking to the downtown Munich. =)

Not really knowing what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised upon our arrival: Efficient and friendly check in, modern facilities, well appointed room with good storage and a little kitchen. There’s a U-Bahn connection right around the corner and shops are nearby. It was a great place to reconnect with old friends and Munich itself! Special thanks to all the lovely people downstairs who helped me with various local calls!!

Because our room was right above the front door there was quite a bit of continuous loud talking / laughing well into and occasionally past midnight. Next time we’ll ask for a room away from the door!

It was really nice and modern studio room, kitchen had almost everything what you need. Stuff especially first guy from brazil was really helpful and friendly. Location was wonderful, really near to U-Bahn and Hauptbahnhof .also near to good restaurants. Overall very nice place.

Bed was little bit small for two people and it was really hot at night. air conditioner would be very helpful, we couldn’t open balcony door properly because people could see us from other rooms. Also would be great to have cleaning at least every second or third day.(breakfast too expensive,20€ per person, so we didn’t eat there)

Schwan Locke was a great find for a last-minute trip to Munich! The location is incredibly convenient for access to public transport, with the München Hauptbahnhof less than 15 minutes away on foot and an U-Bahn stop (Theresienwiese) about 60 seconds down the street. The room was a neat studio-style apartment, clean and airy, with a convenient well-equipped kitchenette and modern en-suite bathroom. It isn't huge, but it was comfortable for two travellers and felt like good value for money. Access doors past the lobby (and the non-lobby street entrance) were all keycard activated so it felt secure and safe, and every staff member we spoke to during our stay was friendly and helpful. The coffee and tea bags were great too, not just generic mass-produced brands!

There weren't any major downsides to staying here. Turning the wall temperature control didn't seem to do anything, and as it was very hot outside during our trip, the room was warm too. We just kept the window open while we were in and used the fridge to keep our drinking water cold and managed just fine. There was a small amount of occasional street noise, but nothing disruptive or beyond normal city noise. The street is tucked to the side of some busier roads, so I imagine the location is quieter than some other nearby hotels.

the rooms and the entire hotel are designed very comfortably and effectively, loved the rooms and facilities. the staff were very friendly and it was very nice of them to accommodate us way to earlier for their respected time of check in time. great location less than 1 min walk from the train station thereisenwese, and 10 min walk to Munich central station. washing machines and dish washing machines available free of charge made our stay much more comfortable. love it overall

breakfast variety was limited, we thought the room was a bit bigger since we booked the studio, but anyway it was still good enough

I have stayed at so many hotels in Munich already and mostly they range from nothing special to disappointing. This is definitely one of my favorites in town! The rooms are nice, there is a big enough table to work from, there is a small kitchen, all the rooms have a small balcony, and there is no disgusting carpeting on the floor. As a bonus, the inner yard is nice to work from. Last but not least: the staff is excellent, both professional and friendly. I will definitely keep coming back here.

The breakfast looks nothing special, definitely not worth the extra money. There is 0 phone connection in the entire building so you are reliant on wifi unles you step out to the balcony. While the hotel is nice, the area is pretty mehh. If you want to have a nice dnner in a nice area, you definitnely need to walk at least 20 mins.

Well-designed apartment hotel in a great location. Everything was there and the room was very clean. I also enjoyed the coffee and tea placed in the room.

The fire alarm went on at midnight because someone in the other room cooked without ventilation. I have seen this could happen through Google reviews too. It didn't stop for quite a long time and was difficult for me as I was staying with a little child. One night was quite noisy with the music from the garden which belongs to the hotel's bar. There was some kind of music event and it was loud but finished around 9 or 10 pm. All the rooms are facing the inner garden and you hear the music and people talking. It was a great stay but you better know there is some noise if you travel with a baby or small child.
