Excellent location, 2 mins walk to the main station. Quiet street, despite the proximity to the main station. Friendly staff. Able to store bags after check-out, this hotel also has a bit earlier check-in than usual (2PM, typically 3PM is the industry standard) which is nice. There was to my surprise an entire 5-seat couch in my room, nice to just chill with the laptop for a bit.

The elevator is very small, and there's 7 floors. I personally didn't experience much issues with this, but sometimes you can wait for a while for the elevator to get to you (and you able to enter) since i was on a low floor, it wasn't a big deal to just walk down instead of waiting.

The breakfast was amazing, I absolutely loved it. I had scrambled eggs, a pretzel, tomatoes, cucumber, and rooibos tea. The decor of the lobby, restaurant, and rooms is really creative and attractive. Love the bell lights.

The shampoo bottle in our shower was empty. We were exhausted from a very long delayed flight and wanted only to shower and get in bed. There was no shampoo at reception and the receptionist asked me to come back in 20 minutes because she had to get it from downstairs. When I came back she still had not gotten the shampoo and asked me to wait by the desk to deter theft while she went downstairs since she was the only one working at that time. It was very frustrating and felt unprofessional to make a guest guard the desk and not even have a basic resource like shampoo ready to go in the room or at least at the reception desk. It’s important to understand how much a small detail like that can impact guest experience.

The location was perfect for sightseeing, about a 15 minute walk to the main sights and literally over the road from the train station. It is just on the boarder of the ‘not so nice part’ but this wasn’t an issue as you turn right out of the hotel to town rather than left. We had a large double room which was a good size and bathroom was ample with large shower. The beds were very comfortable and loved all the quirky alpine features including the cable car style lift. There is a bar in the reception where you can get a drink or a coffee. Would definitely stay here again. Check out time was also good (11am) so no rush on the morning you leave and staff were helpful. Our flight wasn’t until the evening so could leave luggage there safely whilst we explored Munich.

Nothing really, no coffee making facilities in the room but then you can buy a drink downstairs. Other reviews have commented on the construction work over the road but this wasn’t an issue for us, work started around 9am so not a problem as was quiet through the night.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. The sound proofing was good and the retractable blinds were great. All the staff were excellent and really helpful. Really liked the overall design of the hotel. We didn't have breakfast but the free water was a great idea and very welcome.

We thought that the breakfast was a little expensive so chose not to have it. A bit more storage would have also been useful. No english speaking TV channels available, though this wasn't a major issue. These are all generally minor things as we thought overall it was a brilliant place to stay.

This was a great and quirky place to stay, very close to the main train station and to all forms of transport. The decor was amazing - very well considered and amusing without being kitsch or over the top. The bed was comfy, we had proper pillows and slept very well. Breakfast was good value for the price. There is also a laundromat less than a block away which was very convenient. (Please note: This hotel does not accept cash for any kind of payment so come prepared to pay for everything on your card.)

It was very confusing to know who were staff members and who weren't. There were always at least 3 or 4 people behind the reception counter and no one really seemed to know what they were doing. We also had to wait quite a while for anyone to pay attention to us to get any assistance. It was very unprofessional. The lady who checked us out was the only exception to this - she was lovely, friendly and thoroughly professional. She fixed an error on our account that another staff member had made the previous day and was a pleasure to deal with.

Beds were comfortable. Liked that the bed was separate from the living area (loft style). Lots of light in the room.

Air conditioner seems to time out after a while (like an override) so the loft area always felt too hot. The bathrooms smelled like sewage but after we ran the water in the shower, it got better (possibly because the room wasn't used for a while). There's nowhere to hang your clothes (a hanging rack for coats is all there is and one corner shelf that barely fits anything).

the room was very small, the smallest I have ever stayed, some staff members were not very kind and friendly. I understand that the hotel is sustainable and has reduced cleaning, but we stayed 4 days and the room was not cleaned even once, even leaving a sign on the door. but I believe that this was not something that went very negatively, what surprised me the most negatively was the size of the room itself.

Loved the staff, atmosphere and location. Staff were really kind and thoughtful. The ambience in the general areas was also really fantastic. Breakfast was great value for money and delicious. Location is honestly amazing. Easy for both general Munich access and access to inter-city trains.

The bed was horrible. I can’t express how much this impacted my rating. I generally take people’s reviews on accommodation complaining about beds with a grain of salt as I’ve slept in all kinds of places all over the world however, just be aware that it may impact your sleep. If you’re less of a princess than me, I’m sure it would be fine.

Everything was just amazing: the whole concept of the hotel, the friendly staff, amazing breakfast. The motto of the hotel: check in, chill out, and we definitely felt this way. Really comfy beds. The windows are to the inner yard, so it's not loudy. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Munich.

Nothing really, the cheapest option was a bit small but so cozy. If you stay alone or with your significant one, it's totally fine!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The side street that the hotel is on felt very safe and was quiet. Some of the streets closer to the train station didn't feel as safe, but all in all, a great place to stay. You could walk anywhere you wanted to go. The Alpine/Bavarian theme was very fun. The bar service and outside patio was a great place to sit and relax. Good parking.

The rooms were a little small but not a big complaint. We enjoyed our stay very much.
