Check in staff member - I wanted to ‘check in’ - pay for room & obtain room key but staff member gave me key to ‘bike room’ and told me she would give me the room key and ‘check in’ on my return to reception. When I returned to give back the bike room key, two other couples (newly arrived) were waiting in reception to be checked in. She told me to wait until she had checked them in before formally completing my ‘check in’ (despite one of the couples prepared to let me ‘check in’). I felt embarrassed and not welcome at all. However the morning receptionist was extremely helpful and efficient and looked after our needs.

- Location is excellent , only 5 minutes walking distance from Regensburg main station. People can reach every corner of the city easyly by walking. - Hotel staff and management was very kind and helpful. Thanks a lot. - Our room was on the 2nd floor and very silent. It’s relatively small room , but comfortable enough. The most important thing for nowadays was heating and our room and bathroom were very warm . This made us happy as well. We definetely stay in Hotel Am Peterstor in case if we visit Regensburg again.

The hotel personnel were very friendly, personal and accommodating and there was a nice spread of food to choose from for breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center with less than a 13 minute walk to the Wurstkuchl and the stone bridge which crosses over the Danube river. If traveling by car, the parking is perfectly sitting adjacent to the property with a lift for those not able to use the stairs.

Located on the edge of the center, quiet but everything within minutes. Subsided parking immediately to the rear of the hotel. Staff were so helpful. Without prompting the staff came to our assistance with parking ticket problem. Lovely continental breakfast. If returning would use again.

Only English language channel was France 24 news.

Property was perfect. Wonderful location next to parking, very friendly staff, awesome room (in a cool courtyard area), great breakfast. Do not understand why it would receive less than 10/10 every time. We are replanning a road trip to be able to stop by here again.

I loved Regensburg and I am sure my stay at Hotel am Peterstor contributed greatly to that. My single room had a spacious feel with air conditioning and a kettle and windows that could be opened. Also the location was perfect. A few minutes walk to the train station and yet in the old town which is a delight to wander through. Many food outlets available close by.

Friendly welcome (also a drink). Fridge spacious enough to fit items other than the bottle of water. Bed very comfortable and large. Located near the station and on the edge of the old town, so everywhere was walkable. Large tv with wide range of programmes.

Almost no natural light in the room. It was in a courtyard that seemed to be open to anyone until the hotel locked up at night. Outside my door (made of glass) was a chair, presumably for my use, but I found a stranger sitting on it. No effective blackout as curtain too short and strong LED light from tv. Don't know what the soundproofing was supposed to do, but I heard snoring from next door and crockery clatter + chat from the kitchen, preparing breakfast at 6.30am.

The service- I had asked for an extra pillow and it was in my room when I arrived. Also, I let the staff know that my toilet was draining slowly and they fixed it while I was out. Breakfast was excellent! I was also offered a drink upon arrival and I was offered a bottle of water and chocolates when I left. There was a kettle and tea in my room, as well as water in the refrigerator to drink. I was able to store my luggage after checking out until my train left. The hotel is located close to the train station and all the sights in town. I walked everywhere.

The location was perfect. A short walk from the big parking lot to the hotel. The rooms were very large and they provided complimentary water and a welcome beverage (beer, wine, soft drinks) too! The beds were a bit hard, but that is the norm in Germany. The staff were nice. The breakfast was lovely. I would definitely stay again.

The staff were incredibly friendly and the location excellent. We also had an excellent breakfast with an impressive range of fresh fruit, breads, various types of omelette, good coffee, and everything was replenished speedily.

The room was a little small but adequate.
